I decided to check right after midnight, and to my amazement we were approved!!! 
 
Strange, as I checked around 7pm pacific and it did not say approved. I am over the moon happy and relieved. Best of luck fellow January filers, hope you all get the approval very soon!

I just got APPROVED One minute ago, thank you @AkesAngel  and @geowrian  for all your hard work posting the the information which is really helpfull for all of the people who are super anxious . thank you to this website and to every one, !! you will all get approved, it takes time yes, but the time comes!

Consul didnt ask anything , like evidences of bonafide relationship, he didnt ask for our pictures together.
He just asked me how I met my fiance. And how many countries I'd been to.

I just got my birthday wish for those who read my horrific story   I am crying hysterically and about to call Africa and tell him the news  We are December 27th filers and they have never touched our case, so all in ONE day APPROVED!

NOA2 came today! Yayyyy I can do the happy dance now 😂😂😂😂 I'm going to see him next Friday I'm so excited 😍😍😍😍💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 I feel like life just lifted off my shoulders 

I finally received text and email today... was a long and painful 10 days waiting for that  lol Now for the wait on the hard copy so I can check the website. This whole next ... who knows how many months is gonna be nothing but a long wait, but, its already been 3 years, so this will be worth it to do it for a bit more =) The best wait of my life  hehe

Got my NOA1 hard copy in the mail today. Just have to take my mind off this whole process  for the next three months.

You are welcome! We just scheduled the interview last night !  April 18th was the first available, but that would be too soon for her. There may have been one or two more to choose from in April. The other dates that she could choose from were every Friday in May. And there was nothing to choose from in June or July she said.

For those of you that like to prepare and know ahead of time what you will see, I will attach the instructions for the person who resides in Peru. You will receive this after your NOA2, after the NVC processes and sends your case to the Lima embassy.  I think they call it "Packet 3, or 4" Not sure why.
 
This was emailed to me, the petitioner, after I sent them an Email. It is intended for my fiancee in Peru. I forwarded it to her. It is espanol but can be easily translated with google translate. Enjoy.

Stay together and cheer up each other for this journey.
The process of waiting is hard and will ask for a lot of patience ... but yes it will be all worth it in the end.
We have to fight hard to be with our loved ones ... but what could be better to prove how much we want to be with the person we love.
And yes ... to know others, doing the same for their love, and not to feel alone ... that helps more as I could imagine before!
Stay strong, try to be patient and never give up hope ... all will be as it should be in a bit ... It's just a matter of time!

I find myself coming back to this site and this topic nearly daily I am just browsing around...... waiting for everyone of you to post something about movement seems like torture yet some how comforting knowing I am not alone.... this is sort of like a group therapy ..... we are all in a common journey with so many obstacles, the process seems so intimidating but it does keep bringing me back...... good luck people LOVE and commitment are tested in this process and at the end for most I think a joy of each other is enhanced by this process as you really have to work for it...... but the human condition is so enriched by each of our stories... LOVE we need more of it and some of took the risk and the reward will be a love of a lifetime.....
