    Hello Everyone,

I'm finally on my way home!!! I was approved on Friday, Nov. 5th, status was updated on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV to "Issued"  on Monday, Nov. 8th view picture #1 below. I went  to ask at the Centro de Atención a Solicitantes (fingerprint office) but they can't help you with anything until you get número de guía (tracking #). Finally got the email from D.O.S on Wednesday, Nov. 10th at 11AM view picture #2 below. Headed to border about 12pm we used hotel shuttle so they didn't take us all the way to the border. We walked about 10 minutes to Customs and Border Patrol office. Once in the office ask at the window for guidance. The first agent I asked said to stand in the main line, 2nd agent said start a line and pointed in a general direction so long story short ask don't just get in line and hope for the best. So I approached the window where the agent asked for the sealed envelope and passport then instructed us to wait in second waiting area. When agent finished stamping all passports she welcomed everyone to the U.S. and handed out passports. We then got in the main line where they check your passport and ask if you have anything to declare such as fruit, plants, weapons etc. Your belongings will go through an x-ray machine once you retrieve your belongings you are good to go to U.S territory. We got an Uber to El Paso airport for a total of $20 + tip. Best of luck to everyone with your process!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I was approved!!! Words can not describe how happy I am and at the same time how sad I feel for so many that were rescheduled for Monday due to water outage at the consulate.
    Moving on to the details:
My appointment was at 8:30am; I arrived at 7am luckily there wasn't much of a line to start off with. I waited outside for about 20 minutes before entering the security area. Security check was quick. Then we went outside to a waiting area with many chairs. I waited for about 2 hours fortunately it wasn't too cold. Once I got inside it was almost 10am, waited in line for interview. 10:30am I approached interview window. You do have the option to speak English for your interview if you like. You hand them your blue sheet with appointment details, then the questions begin. Remember only answer questions asked do not offer extra information because you will only set yourself up for more questions. They will ask you when and where you entered the U.S. and how many times. These were the questions they asked me after swearing-in:
What's your date of birth? Where does your husband live? Just answered with state Is your husband a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident? How did you meet your husband? Keep it sweet and short Do you have kids? Did either of you have a previous marriage? Make sure you have ORIGINAL FINAL Divorce Decree!! They will deny your visa without it. How did you enter U.S.? Don't lie or embellish  Did you enter with a visa?  Did you have DACA? Yes, but he didn't ask to see them so I didn't offer them Did you get in trouble with the police in U.S? Yes, I had a misdemeanor. The main thing they are looking for is honesty. DO NOT LIE. I witnessed 1st hand how a lady was barred for 5 years for lying about criminal history. Did you read the pamphlet that you were given? Yes, it was about domestic violence and resources for help regardless of immigrant status. This pamphlet is given to everyone regardless of gender. That was it. Then I got "Ok ma'am your visa has been approved."

I wish you all the very best of luck to everyone!! I will keep updating and answering any questions. For now it's time for some cold beer!!!

    Hello Everyone,

I want to share some more about the Antecedentes Penales: You can use your address from the U.S. so don't feel like you have to pay anyone to borrow something.

My 1st interview appointment was this morning, Nov 4th, 2021 at 7:30am. I arrived at the consulate around 6am and there was already a line formed of about 50 most of which were additional family waiting with the applicant. The line started moving around 630am with the guidance of security elderly, disabled, pregnant and those with children under 4 yrs were given priority. Have your DS-260 with appointment and time stamp ready in hand to show consulate agent at line. Several people in front of me were told to return or wait until 15-30 minutes before appointment to get in line. I was the 25th person in line to start off with then people were split into two lines. One line for those returning for 2nd interview and one for 1st interview. I was 8th in the first time interview line. Have your passport and DS260 ready they will scan DS-260 and check your passport with x-ray vision 🤣. Once you get to security they will ask you to place paperwork in 1 bin, you will take off jacket also pass through x-ray machine. A lot of people said you can't take anything other than paperwork, but you can bring your wallet and/or purse. Just make sure you don't have any sharp objects and empty your pockets before you get up there. Oh I had on high-heels and had to remove then and pass them through x-ray machine. Lots of walking and standing here so if you are think of trying out an new pair of heels make sure they are comfortable AF. After security x-ray scanning you will get in line again if you don't have a number yet they will give you one before you go through next door. Next you will walk through a courtyard pass by two outdoor seating area's and then enter a building with 30 to 45 social distanced chairs with many service windows. At this point it was about 7am chairs were in groups of 15 for different interview types. They started interviews at 7:30am with new windows opening up, making the process pretty fast. I was out of there by 7:50am with a blue paper with assigned interview #2 at 8:30am next day. They asked for original documents in the following order: DS-260, passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, I-864, most recent income tax, antecedentes penales and final divorce decree in my case. Then they also give you an information pamphlet about domestic violence etc. according to many they will ask you at least one question about this pamphlet.

    Best of luck to all!!

    Hi Guys,

Picking-up the medical results packet- In my case I went to SMF you enter the same building where you started paperwork intake, then they tell you to take a seat until receptionist at the main entrance is ready for next applicant. There the receptionist will ask for your passport and proof of payment before you are handed your black sealed package with medical results. Package will have a sheet stapled to the front with your information and an additional set of documents with immunization info and a CD of x-ray images. Make sure all information is correct before you leave.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm going to cover a few topics in this post: Uber, Medical exam, ASC finger print appointment and antecedentes no penales.
So Uber will in fact take you to the border and you can then get another Uber from the border in MX to hotel or destination of your choice. I have never had to use Uber so I was trying to get an Uber into MX with no luck. Silly me 😋

Medical exam- My exam was scheduled for Nov.2 at 6am at SMF  they provide shuttle service at most hotels. I decided to try today before my fingerprint appointment and they take you in without any problem. I arrived about 7:30am it wasn't packed and wait time was limited. They have many windows open to keep things flowing. First step was documentation intake: Covid shot record, immunization record (if you have a print out from your doctor, pharmacy  or health department they will accept it, if you think it will help BRING IT), unexpired passport and DS-260. They will print documents if you need but I would be prepared if possible. After they look at your documents they give you a Ticket #, medical bracelet with ID #, Covid questionnaire and a little sheet to fill with name, DOB, phone numbers, last used address in MX and current address in U.S. Then you wait to get called by number another agent confirms details from the small sheet they you sign as you did on your passport. Then you go into another waiting area for chest x-ray they give you a gown that you will use for the rest of the medical exam. Here you will be instructed to put your hair up, remove shirt and bra you will wear gown with back exposed. Don't worry you will not walk around like that all day. Once you re-dress you head to blood work for syphilis testing if you are ages 18-44. After blood work has been drawn you go upstairs for physical exam they will ask how many kids you had and DOB for each, take temp, weight and do a vision test. They will ask you to remove your shoes and to put on some blue booties, in the exam room you remove everything but  your underpants. Its no different then getting an annual physical te miran todo. 😆 FYI if you have any criminal history or tattoos they will send you to mental health before you go to vacunas section. This is definitely where you will wait the most I was in line for about 45 minutes to get to the window where they tell you how many shots you are missing. Most people were missing 4-6 shots that could have been avoided if they brought the most recent shot record. Once you get any shots that you need you head back down stairs to where you started the process to pay. Everything is billed in U.S. dollars and you can pay with a credit card Visa, Mastercard or Amex.

Fingerprints(Centro de Atencion a Solicitantes)- I was late for my appointment but it really didn't matter there was a line outside under a shaded area broke down in to 30 minute appointment time slots. I happened to show up 25 minutes late and they had not let any one from the 10:30 appointment slots in yet. I only took in appointments letter, DS-260 and passport. If you bring your phone you have to turn it off and empty anything you have in your pockets for a brief security check. An agent will come around to check your paperwork as you wait in line. Once you get to a window they ask you to sanitize your hands, they take your DS-260 place a stamp on it for your consulate interview, place a sticker with consulate appointment details and DS-260 confirmation #. I was in and out in under 15 minutes.

Antecedentes no penales- I'm still not sure if this has to be translated but better be safe than sorry. I still haven't completed this but here is some info for where to start. You can start tramite online but I had no idea what address to use or where in the world I would get a residential bill from. This place Servicios Bincionales MB is right outside the fingerprint office will help you complete the form, let you use their address as a domicile and provide transportation to fiscalia to take picture and capture finger prints for $36 U.S. dollars. The place across from this office will help you complete online form for $300 pesos they didn't mention anything about providing transportation to fiscalia. FYI fiscalia will re-open Wednesday, Nov. 3rd after Dia de los Muertos holiday.

I will keep posting updates. Good luck to you all!

    Hello everyone,

FYI… I’ve been to Walmart on Ave. Ejercito and a few pharmacies and no one is giving Covid shots here. For those of you who still need the shot get the J&J shot it’s only 1 and they give you a card with shot details

I checked Uber while while I was on the way to the border and no one was providing rides into MX. This taxi driver didn’t use any apps for payment I paid cash U.S. dollars 💵. If you want to pay with an app I would suggest you ask before you hop in. I witnessed first hand how ppl only asked if they drive into MX and the taxi driver was grabbing luggage to load and in they went. Don’t be nervous ask what you need then make a decision, I can assure you the taxi drivers know about the apps out there that you can pay with expect to incur an additional charge. I took pics of the taxi the license tag and the driver of course I didn’t ask for permission to do that. Better to be safe than sorry be aware of your surroundings guys and don’t be flashy with your $$. Best of luck to everyone and stay safe 😃

    Ya llege Mexico lindo!!

Our flight arrived 30 minutes early. This airport is small so it took us about 10 minutes to get our luggage and find our way to the taxi section. I didn’t have anything arranged so took our chance with the first taxi driver we found. Lalo was our driver for Amber Cab Co. you can call at 915-222-0410. He had a van so plenty of room the AC was fine charged $95 and dropped us off at the Holiday Inn near the consulate. Safe trip everyone and keep in touch.

CONGRATS!!🎉 I will be leaving for Juarez on the 30th. I’ll try to keep you all posted with what worked for me.
As far as what documents you will need I would follow what the CEAS website recommends. I’m taking everything I mailed to NVC. Make sure you have all original approval notifications, birth certificate, passport and other civil documents. Just remember you don’t have to hand over all your documents just what they ask you for. Sometimes offering more than what they ask for can open a can of worms.

FYI... I booked flight with Frontier it's not a direct flight but it's only 7 to 8 hours for $44 one way. Return flights are also cheap. Layover's are crazy for most airlines and all other major airlines were north of $220.
