Hello, there is another forum available for NVC filers with lots of great information regarding this. It looks like the wait is up to 11 weeks but most people have their cases complete in 8-9 weeks barring any checklists for additional or revised documents. At this point all you can do is wait for your case to get to the review department and the case to be complete.

    Thank you so much @cleon86

    here i go, start counting-down the days... tik-tok tik-tok

You can get irs transcripts from the IRS website as per H&T's suggestion above which will be the least intensive in terms of paper load.

If the USC already has an account, takes a week or two to deliver. If he does not, you can call to order them via phone but you will need to get the numbers in his address right (I had a lot of issues with this part). Getting access to the online transcripts is faster but they'd have to snail mail him a unique pin which also takes a week to two weeks.

if you don't want to wait and want to mail out your packet immediately, the entire tax return, any and all related w2s and 1099s are required.

    Thank you Jessie!

Only one year is required unless you feel earlier years establish a stronger case for you. w2s are only required if you filed jointly or if you are submitting your tax return as opposed to an IRS transcript.  I included transcripts and w2s for all three years for the hell of it even though it wasn't required; better safe than sorry.

photos are no longer required at this stage but will be for medicals and at the interview. Might want to check the nvc website for embassy specific guides to confirm how many.

@JessieABC Hi Jessie, would you know which are the pages/section from tax return (2014,2015,2016) i have to send photocopies of? or the full tax return file like 10-12 pages? just like you mentioned i am also planning to attached w2s and last 6 months of pay-stubs, thank you once again

@JessieABC  this kind of quick response and answering our questions really helps when i am not familiar into this paper-works. you are a superb help as always in this forum! Thank you so much

  5. Hi guys, i am on a mission :) of gathering all the papers before submitting DS 260. i read it somewhere but can't locate it and i also see it in checklist, so the question is should i need to include both Tax returned (for 3 years latest years) AND W2s? or either just Tax returned or W2s? also passport size copy picture should be 1 copy or 2? sorry for duplicating these questions might have had earlier in the forum, thanks,

Did you get the text message for NOA1 the same day your packet was received by USPS. I am very upset, as I sent my package on 25th Jan, my package reached there on 27th Jan according to USPS. but still no text no email. Now I am thinking may be I have done something wrong like forgot to sign the 1145, but I am sure that I signed it....:( getting nervous here.

Hi There, i would say not to get nervous yet, wait at-least 4-5 business days, you should get something from them either text, email or returned recipt note

Where you live in the United States has almost no bearing on which service center your application was sent to. You need to look at your receipt number which was on the NOA1 and the first three letters will tell you which service center your application was sent too. For example, LIN = Nebraska Service Center.

Are you saying that it was 4 months before you received your NOA1? This is an absurdly long time. Are you able to check you status on the USCIS website? In either case, unless your application was sent to the Texas Service Center, you are still within normal processing time. If you've been sent to Nebraska, it will likely take 5-7 months, based on current estimates.

    Good luck!

first up thank you so much for your reply, with the information that you gave it seems like my case (LIN169********) went to Nebraska Service Center, i did receive the NOA1 with-in first week after submission of i-130 and since then it has been over 4 months that i have been waiting on NOA2 Approval, i received NOA1 on September 26, 2016. i checked USCIS website also i called them, all they were saying they are currently looking at July 2nd applications and no other timeline nor update. would you know any update by any chance?

Thank you so much once again, i really appropriate it
