  1. Quote from MAWilson:

    Did you ever have to wait in line at the airport to get to the Economy Class check-in desk, watching First and Business class passengers "jump the line"?

    Welcome to the real world

    The above is very true. And the reason being is, people who are not in the economy line either flies frequently, brings more business to the airlines and actually paid the price for business / first class tickets (Which is at least double of what economy is)

    Again, who's the culprit? Money!

    So I voted YES and I am willing to pay $5,000, even $10,000. I also agree with Shakysgirl and LisaD's comments about getting the extra revenue and hiring more people, etc etc...

    Of course.. just because I were to pay $5,000 shouldn't gaurantee that I'm geting a green card.... America can't be letting in people who are criminals! Applicants should at least pass that test!

    But, ya... I would pay anytime to expedite this... People would have saved thousands on long distance calls, airline tickets, doctor visits for depression, medication, shrink.. and ROGAINE!

  2. All,

    It has been over 100 days since we filed our I-130 (July 26, 06)

    Do you think I should contact USCIS? Me and my husband were thinking of contacting the congressman to see if he can do something for us if we dont hear anything by the end of the month.

    I was originally on the TN visa and have filed the I-130 and the I-129F. So far. nothing from both sides. (I-129F got transferred after sitting there for two months in the Missouri office) I'm starting to wonder if it's because I have entered some US addresses on my G froms that threw them off.. ( was working in the US since 2003)

    I just hope they didn't lose our file! It's encouraging to see approvals with others but at the same time, very discouraging that we filed before some of the others and are left behind..... :crying::crying::crying:

  3. Our Mao I agree. It's K-3s turn! There was a K-3 approval at I2U though. They filed in mid to late August I think and his file was trasnferred to Chicago on 10/31 and then a few days later he received the e-mail stating he was approved.

    Yup.. hopefully his luck will rub off to all of us.. hahaha

    by the way Jessipooh, I have been meaning to say.. your avitar is so cute.. i love it ... hahaha

  4. workd for me too but no change! ahhhh

    i need a touch... sniff sniff...also.. i've noticed its been a slow week last week for K-3s.. k-1s, on the other hand.. is zooming by like crazy..tons of approvals around Nov 2 and 3... ok.. this week should be K-3's turn!!!

  5. I was on TN. Technically speaking, get married in the States and then file for adjustment of status. No matter what, do not leave the country until u've filed. I would also speak to a lawyer.

    I didn't and guess what???? I'm stuck in Canada, away from my husband. We had to file I-130 and the I-129F. We were married for 2 days and then separated (June this year). I guess our problem was we got married in Canada v.s US (and it's our fault???)

    Anyways... enough of my sad story... if I were you, talk to a lawyer and no matter what, do not leave the states.. I did and was not able to come back. If they found out at customs that u're married to a US citizen and u're on TN AND you didn't submit any paperwork, they won't let u in. It happened to me and I dont want that to happen to anyone else!

  6. Congratulations!!! A lot of K-1 approvals this week, but not for K-3s.. =(

    .... I hope there'll be more approvals for both K-1s and K-3s' next week! ... and ignore all those people with the negative vibe!! Something's wrong with them... tsk tsk tsk..

    and yes.. do continue to pray for the rest of us!!!! we all need it!

  7. I'm touching you now :) Feel better :P

    AHhhhhhhhh no one is touching me!! Touch me please!!!

    Thanks.... I feel better now hahahha

    I guess I have to be more patient.. they received my file last Thurs/Fri.. so I dont really expect them to have a turnaround of ONE week.... (but if they did, I wouldn't mind, hahaah) I'm PRAYING, end of the month.. ahhhhhhhh

    I was just wondering if me having a TN visa to being with for the last three years and having US addesses make a difference for them (i.e. makes it more confusing for them) ahhhhh oh well :blush:

  8. I also want to bring to your attention (those who have their cases transferred) to the following link. I read up on the updates from the USCIS Website:

    http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/pachron.htm

    Scroll down to September and select the second topic - Cash Transfer Update 9/29/06.

    Even though this notice talked about I-129 for H1B, etc etc, from the entire notice, you can see that all the SCs do shuffle work from 1 center to the other. As a result, we do not have to worry. If I'm guessing it right, I bet they'll post a public notice in regards to the K-3s later this month to talk about the K3s. (If they transfer enough of them, look at the numbers for H1B, 20,000, 6,000!!) I'd be sure to watch for that.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality and efficiency of customer service delivery, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) periodically shifts benefit processing work from one agency service center to another, in order to balance the overall workload with processing capacity.
    • Form I-129: Due to unusually high workload surges over the past three months, the Vermont Service Center (VSC) transferred nearly 20,000 H-1B petitions subject to the FY 2007 annual numerical cap to the Texas Service Center (TSC) and 6,000 cap-subject H-1B petitions to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) rather than to its “sister” service center under USCIS’ bi-specialization initiative, the California Service Center (CSC).
    • Form I-360: The VSC, TSC, and NSC, transferred all of their pending Forms I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, requesting classification as a special immigrant religious worker, to the CSC. In addition, all new Form I-360 religious worker filings received at a Service Center other than the CSC are being transferred to the CSC.
    • Form I-130: Over the past 3 months, the VSC transferred approximately 20,000 Forms I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, to the CSC.
    Affected customers will receive a transfer notice from USCIS.
    Other than receiving correspondence from a different location, this process is a seamless change for USCIS customers. By advising our customers of the location where their case is currently being processed, the transfer notice is intended to enable customers to communicate more effectively with USCIS regarding any questions or concerns that may arise about their case while it is pending. Customers should direct their inquiries to the service center where the case is currently located.
    USCIS reserves the right to transfer additional cases in the future, if necessary, in order to ensure timely case processing.
  9. Time will tell if they are indeed being transferred correctly or as the result of a new over zealous employee that is reviewing incorrectly before routing to the various centers/offices
    As of Oct 25, I've counted 7 cases on the Visa Journal forum where K-3s applications have been transferred to either the Vermont Service Center or the California Service Center. I hope all 7 of them are in the right track. Aussiewench is right. TIME will tell if they're in the right place. Otherwise, we can all get together and SUE USCIS for negligence.!!!!!
    :angry:
    People who have been transferred.. HANG IN THERE!!!!
  10. I got an email regarding I-129f application:
    "On October 23, 2006, we transferred your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to an office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office."
    Why is it being sent to the VSC? I thought that the chicago center processes the application and sends it to NVC.
    I had the same thing happen to me on Oct 23 too! Except that mine was transferred to the California Service Center... :unsure:
    I have the similar case dude! What should we do next? call them?
    I tried to call them from Canada but the 1800 doesn't work in Canada and my husband is away for business and won't be back until end of the week next week! I called my lawyer and he told me that it's actually quite 'normal' for them transfer cases. He said the processing centers are split into two and b/c we live in California, we got transferred to California. I guess since you're in MA, you went to Vermont cause it's east coast?? I guess we really dont have a choice if they do this to us but I just dont want them to confuse my K-3 and think it's a K-1 and ship it to CSC.. Can you imagine how further behind we'll be?? ahhhhh
    Also, people who responded to my post in the Canada forum said that it's actually good news that I got moved from 1 center to another... but I wish I can be like the rest of the K3 filers who got approved without being transferred!
    :o
