    Congratulations!

I read your timeline. You said once CC, your CEAC AOS status disappear. I heard a lot about this trick but never confirmed with a real case. Great!

BTW, do you get your interview date in Guangzhou yet?

Not yet, I called and the rep says I am going to receive it by mail.

Hello, I sent documents via email and I waited for over a month but when I called NVC they told me that I need to mail the documents. Call them and make sure those documents can be sent via email.

    good luck

Thank you very much. YES, i did verified before sending.

The U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China participates in optional electronic processing.  If you would like to opt in to electronic processing; all of the required forms and documents should be submitted to the nvcelectronic@state.gov email address.  If you  would like to process this case by traditional paper processing, the documentation should be mailed to the NVC.

  6. If you recently participated using email to send your documents to NVC,  would you please share your experiences of how many days later you heard back from the NVC saying that they have received it?

At Feb 4th, i send the AOS and IV documents to the email address at  nvcelectronic@state.gov ( email was less than 5MB)  and I called today ( Feb 12 th) the rep said we didn't received anything from you.

    Thanks for your help.

BTW, The webpage still says  " Action required: Submit requested documents "

I was in the same situation as both of you. I got my case # on January 19th and submitted my DS-261 on the 29th. I called the NVC and they gave the same explanation. I just got the welcome letter today at 1AM Eastern Time and about five minutes later the AOS fee showed up in CEAC and I paid it (I logged in about 3 or 4 times in that five minutes before it showed up).

The wait is frustratingly slow, but it seems like the AOS fee really will not show up until you actually get the welcome letter email. Now the wait begins for the IV fee to show up..

This is how things look now. The Affidavit of Support (AOS) section will appear once you get your welcome letter. The "PAY NOW" button under IV Fee is active, but when I click on it, nothing shows up. Once they review the DS-261, that should appear too.

You are right, i got an email from NVC too.

I paid the $120 fee by calling the NVC rep this morning, she reviewed  the DS-261 over the phone for me.

    Thanks.

Hey all, question to those who've already 'unlocked' the IV fee.

I submitted my DS-261 today, so the statyus for that shows as completed.

Attached is what I see for the IV. (I don't see the AOS at all).

My question: what will this look like when I *can* pay the fee? An extra button or something?

Same here. I submitted the DS-261 at yesterday ( January 29th).

NVC rep said, because we just start working on your case and we have not send out the welcome letter yet, ( i got the case# and IIN number over the phone ) it can take up to 4 weeks before you receive the welcome letter by email.

I just finished getting off the phone with NVC and they gave me my Case and Invoice #. Now to wait for the portal to open up for me. Will I have to pay by US Check or CC is fine? I am traveling next week so I want to make sure I don't forget my check book if needed.

Congrats and have a safe travel.

I called today and the representative said it should be activeted 2days ago but for some reason is not showing in both old or new system either. Yesterday they already submitted review to supervisor, and today they said the same thing.

Try reaching out to your congressman and have him send an enquiry on your behalf?

    good morning everyone!

I received an email from USCIS after I submit a case inquiry.

In the inquiry I put I believe my case is outside of normal processing time. because My case was received on April 17, and till today, nothing change.

I first file my application as Permanent resident and last year Sep. 3 I sent my naturalization certification to USCIS.

However, I called the USCIS numerous time and did not find out any clue about my case.

Dec. 18 they send me an email saying that they did updated my status and my case is been processed!

I am so confused by "my case is been processed".

what do they mean? they have not approve my case yet....and now, they said my case is been processed!!

so confused, it is a response which makes me wanna ask more questions

Sorry to hear that, hope my timeline can give you a better idea.

I went through the same thing as you are dealing with right now.  I filed the petition for my spouse back to December 19, 2016 ( F2A) and  upgraded the petition from F2A to IR1 at August 25, 2017.

Our case was approved at November 28, 2017 and NVC received our case from USCIS California Service Center at January 10, 2018.  now i am waiting for the case number.

    6 weeks waiting on NVC......

Just got off the phone, NVC received at January 10th, been told to wait 2 weeks for the case number to be signed.

Call USCIS and request to speak to a tier 2 officer and then ask if the petition has been forwarded to the NVC and when. If it was sent, request the tracking number so you can contact NVC so they make a research. However, be aware you might get the generic answer that it takes up to 6 weeks for the NVC but still you can get the tracking number if it was already sent.

Thank you for helping, i did called and one of the tier 2 officer told me the case haven't been sent to NVC yet by December 29,2017

He wasn't in the good mood that day, just simply said wait another 30 days and if i wish i can call them every single day, but that will not speed the processes at all,  because USCIS will determine when to send the case to NVC.

i will send a email to our congressmans office. The office lady told me if i didn't here anything back from the NVC within 30 days, i can contact her anytime after January 2, 2018.

Thanks again and May you have a wonderful day.
