  1. Did you file from Vietnam?

I filed from Vietnam and despite filling out and filing the G-1145 when we filed our I-130, we only received one email regarding our NOA1. We never received an SMS and no email for NOA2, either. No regular mail for either notice either.

The only way I see updates was to compulsively check our case status here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

It's quite frustrating filing from abroad, to be honest.

Good luck and keep us updated.

    Hi everyone.

I think this question was asked before on this forum but I want to ask for some clarification.

For the visa interview, the petitioner is asked to provided birth certificate . If the petitioner is a naturalized U.S. citizen and does not have a birth certificate from his country of birth, can the petitioner use his U.S. passport and Naturalization certificate in lieu of his birth certificate?  The petitioner has left his country of birth over 40 years ago since immigrating to U.S.  I doubt the petitioner can obtain any form of birth certificate from his country of birth.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I'm a US citizen, and I don't have a birth certificate either (something my parents decided when I was born). However, I do have an official "Finding an Order of Birth" issued from the county court in the county where I was born. I submitted this (along with a photocopy of my passport, of course) at the interview and there was no problem.

If you are still stateside, maybe call up your county court and see if they can issue some official document such as this. I'm sure that naturalization documents would be an asset, too.

we don't open the package correct?

Ours was in a sealed, plastic shipping envelope. There were three things inside for us:

    1. Passport with valid US visa.
    2. Brown, sealed envelope that you cannot open, to be presented at your POE.
    3. A paper describing how to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee and some other things.

You need to open the shipping envelope to get everything out. How will your spouse fly if she doesn't present her passport and visa at the airport? :-P

Have you called to see if your case is under review? If so, please update the spreadsheet with that info.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

Add a note. For example: "June 6 - Morning - Called, still not under review" (please put your date first)

My agent called on June 1. All they said was that it was currently not under review and processing time is up to 11 weeks. I will add the info in the spreadsheet.

If it says "At NVC" and your AOS information is missing.. Then you most likely have a completed case (CC)... Please call the NVC to confirm.

    See Example

If your status still reads "Action required: Submit requested documents", you can call the NVC to ask if your case is under review.

Add a note. For example: "June 6 - Morning - Called, still not under review" (please put your date first)

If you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Still no update on the CEAC website. Today marks 9 weeks since my scan date. Other filers in the spreadsheet from this country have reported close to 10 weeks for a CC. Maybe by this time next week I'll have some good news.

Cool, thanks for putting this together. My agent called the NVC on Wednesday, April 3rd and was told to wait and call back on June 22nd (11 weeks and 1 day after scan date) if we had heard nothing by then. I guess they are tired of people calling now?
