Our interview was on July 22nd 2017, and was scheduled at 10:00 AM. We arrived at the embassy at around 8:55 AM. We found parking at the intersection of Ave. Republica de Colombia and Ave. Jacobo Majluta Azar. They charged us $250 pesos (which is about 5 Dollars). We left our cellphones hidden inside the car as you cannot come in the embassy with electronics. Try to carry only the neccesary paperwork with you.
We walked towards the embassy and there we ran into the so called "buscones"(people who will tell you that you need certain things before going in the embassy, for example, that your passport pictures need to be stapled to the DS260)which is a lie.
We reached the embassy at 9:00 AM and there was a huge line(for non immigrant visas luckily). They directed us to a very short line for immigrant visa interviews where they checked our p4 letter and told us to go inside. We went through security and then to the building where they do the actual interviews. An Embassy employee checked my p4 letter and gave me a ticket which he stapled to it (284). He then sent us to a line where we gave in my wife's police report, original birth certificate and original marriage certificate. The birth certificate we gave in at the embassy was different from the one we sent to NVC because this new one was legalized, so the lady sent my wife to make a photocopy of it at another location and I stood at the window. She asked me if we had any kids, and I told her no, then I added that I did have a daughter, she asked "from another relationship?" I said "yes". My wife came back and the lady gave us back a few papers from NVC which they no longer needed. She told us to sit down and wait for them to call our number for the actual interview.
We sat down and noticed they were calling numbers in the 130s, so there was going to be a long wait. Many people were getting their visas approved, only a few people left with a sad face. At around 12:10PM they called our number(284) to window number 3. He didn't look like nice but he didn't look mean. This was our interview.
How did you meet? (My wife asked him who would he like to answer, he said whoever) I answered and I was very nervous.
Where did you get married? We both answered
When did your husband came to visit you the first time? He asked my wife. She answered
Where did you get married? He asked again and my wife answered.
What is his mother's name? He asked my wife and she answered.
He then looked at us and looked at my wife again and asked her. What is his favorite Ice Cream flavor? She answered (chocolate)
He looked at me and asked me, what is her favorite Ice Cream flavor? I answered (Vanilla).
He looked at us and said "Didn't you guys have any other story to make up? I've had so many couples tell me the same flavors today"
I smiled and told him "The truth is.." He interrupted me and told me "Oh now you're gonna tell me the truth? You are under oath, remember?
I told him "No what I'm saying is that the truth is she only likes Vanilla, she's not really an Ice Cream person" (he was trying to put some pressure on me, this is a high fraud country).
He then started looking at the pictures I sent to USCIS and looking at papers.
He asked us who is the joint sponsor(he called him by his name)? I answered he's my mother's ex boyfriend. He asked me "are they married" I answered "No".
He then asked us what were our plans in the U.S and I answered( he seemed to like it very much). Then he started stamping papers and putting documents together, looked at us and said Felicidades su visa ha sido aprobada! Congratulations your visa has been approved! (I couldn't believe it and I stood there looking at him and my wife hugged me jajaja thats when I reacted)
Overall it was a nice interview, it might sound like many questions but in reality it's a conversation. Yesterday I checked the ceac status and it said AP. Today I checked again and it was Issued(the visa has been printed). Wow!!! So fast!! I couldn't be happier! Good luck to everyone on their interview. @Mun95 @YuMa you both will be fine.

    Here's my review!

    Had my interview today
    And it was approved!
Got to the embassy 6am for my 6:45am appointment. At about 6:20am, an officer came to address the crowd and asked the immigrant visa applicants for 6:30, 6:45 and 7am to form a queue with our appointment letter, after that, he asked that our sealed medical reports be opened  then we were asked to come in to be checked. Once cleared we moved toward the guy that assigns number, he confirms your name on the appointment list and then ask you to go towards the door to move to the next stage.

We had one more security check before getting into the embassy building.
I got in at about 7:10am and then joined another queue. Waited for about 10mins then it was my turn, so I went to the window.

The guy smiled and said good morning, and I responded with a smile also. Then he asked for my appointment letter , after handing that over to him, he asked me to bring out my original certificates ( birth, marriage and police ) and then left to fetch my file. Came back checked the originals, and then returned them back to me, but held on to the original police certificate. He then asked for my passport n two passport photograph. After handing that over, he returned the pictures my husband sent with the application and returned copies of the certificates also. He then asked me to go and that I'd be called soon...

    Another wait began.......
After waiting for about 20mins. My name was called to come for finger prints. Did that and went back to my seat.
    About 5mins later,
    The CO called my number,
Walked up to her and she also greeted me with a smile.
And asked me to raise my right hand then she said "you swear that everything in the file is true and correct" and I responded yes. And she was like, then, let's begin but first, I'd need to confirm your prints again. We did that, then the interview started.

Who is calling you to the US?
    How did you meet?
    When?..... Month n year
Why did you marry in Dec.
What type of marriage did you have?
Do you have your wedding pictures here?
    May I see them?
So what does your husband do?
    Name of the company?
    Where is it located?
    How often do you speak?
    What's the time difference ?
Either of you been married before?
    Do you have kids?
Where do you live and have you lived any where else?
And then she smiled and said visa approved.
    And gave me 3papers
    1. Immigrant visa fee
    2. Visa collection address
3.pamphlet that states my rights n all as a spouse of a US citizen.
    And I was done!

In all it was a good experience...
And it seems the COs today were in a really good mood, everyone before me got approved! Except for an elderly woman and its because she didn't have her medical reports yet.

You would have to get in touch with the embassy to schedule your appointment. Bring all the checklist documents with you to the appointment. What does your CEAC status say?

Hi, on the spreadsheet, your CC would be the day you received notification (verbal or written) that your expedited request was approved. In the notes section of the questionnaire, explain that your case was expedited.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire.

Regarding your case, your embassy will approve/verify that you have all the correct documents.. The NVC is no longer responsible for that.. @KaurN  and a few others on our spreadsheet also had their expedited cases approved.

So congrats for finally leaving the NVC process..

Meanwhile, you can head over to the following forum, joining others who are waiting for an OCTOBER interview date and preparing for their interviews. Please read the first post, very informative info in there. See you there.

We received the passport back yesterday!

Just wondering - has anyone looked into the Obamacare requirements?  I read somewhere that requirements start the day you set foot on US soil.  On their official website, they state that it starts the first full month you have resided in the United States (for immigrants).  There also seems to be an exemption for maximum of two months of non-coverage.

My husband is planning on traveling here November 18th.

    Question:
If his bank offers 31 days of travel insurance including emergency medicals - does this satisfy the requirement? Does he even need coverage?  He'll either have a job by January or I'll add him to my plan during open enrollment for 2018 which is only 1.5 months after he lands which seems to fit under the continuous 2 month max exemption. Tried looking through the forums and there were different situations.  Seems like most just opted not to get insurance and pay the fine.  Any thoughts or would anyone care to share their insight and experience?

Hello, no our case wasn't expedited but we waited long time for NOA2 (259 days) so maybe that helped.
It was so unexpected for us to get interview date 15 days after CC, we even planned a trip so I had to take 2 trips one after another
Wish you luck on your journey

PLEASE PLEASE everyone on this thread can you fill out the Case Complete to Interview Form (in my signature and in the first post) so you can be added and or updated. I see alot of people here on this thread saying they got interview this and that and you aren't even on the spreadsheet.

I know it's confusing seeing we have two different things going on here. Don't mind sharing my thread with JBMG, but please help others by first filling out your VJ timelines. And filling out the form to be added to the spreadsheet. My spreadsheet has been around for 5 years this month. So lets keep it going even after you all are gone and forgot about VJ.

    Much appreciated, Thank you all.
