Hi, I am in the same situation.   I put my EAD/AP in my phone as I was worried my wallet might be stolen.  Phone was stolen in Madrid yesterday!   USCIS advised we contact the Embassy in Madrid. They refused to assist as Im not a Lawful Permanent Resident.

My return flight is on Dec 11th and we just got notice that the Green Card interview will be in December.  I have to get back.

@Nadya Wong how did you resolve?

US Immigration do a pre-clearance at Dublin airport.  So I wonder if an airline flying from Dublin would be subject to less fines and therefore more willing to accept me as a traveller.  I also saw other suggestions about entering via a land border eg Canada.  Has anyone tried that?

I'd recommend you exhaust all venues of getting an official document replacement in the next few weeks before your flight - but worst case scenario I think you take copies of your advance parole approval documents and the copy of the EAD card and try it at the airport. Stay firm that nothing is out of place, you can legally travel with the advance parol documentation (if that is in the states - have it priority mailed to you! We would never leave the US without it) and keep escalating until someone lets you through. You have proof in the advance parole document that you can enter the US legally and then In the US they can manually verify you - your biggest obstacle is getting through boarding.

    Good luck!

With the copy of the card and the approval notice you should be able to board the plane and the CBP officer should parole you in. I don't think the consulate will help much. AoS is that strange gray area where no clear rules exist. It is still risky but I would recommend just doing it, board the plane and hold on to your copies. I read about another case here where they got no help at the consulate but after arriving to PoE everything turned out okay. It is in officer's discretion to parole you in.

The risk of missing your interview is much higher than the risk of losing your money for the ticket. You are in good status and with some potential delays they will let you in.

It's good you have all the EAD copies saved!  Now, don't lose that passport :)

As a note, my wife did email the consulate at Paris but didn't want to call their emergency line and this is the message we received when the office opened monday morning. Glad I didn't wait and go that route first! Strange gray area, indeed...

Thank you for your inquiry.  If your spouse filed for adjustment of status in the United States and was travelling with an advance parole/temporary card that were stolen, he may not qualify for a boarding foil as he is not yet a permanent resident.  You may inquire after U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Officers based at U.S. Embassy Rome, Italy regarding his current status, . https://it.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/rome/sections-offices/dhs/uscis/contacts/   If USCIS confirms that he is entitled to apply for a boarding foil at U.S. Embassy Paris, he will need to make an appointment on the following website https://ais.usvisa-info.com

  3. Will provide an update when we have one.

He actually decided to take a shot at making his flight, after about 4 hours of questioning/processing/confusion they cleared him from the flight from Paris. However, he had missed the direct flight home so they decided to route him through London.

In London he was almost sent back again, but after a few hours they sent him on a flight. He of course missed the direct flight home and but will be at a port of entry this evening - we will see if he is admitted. Then will be routed home. Fortunately the airlines keep rebooking him after he's been held by immigration.

Painful waiting game...  Any advice is appreciated!

If there is no USCIS officer or CBP attache working in paris which i highly doubt take a very cheap flight to frankfurt ( maybe 20-30 euros) and there you have one of the biggest uscis offices abroad in the world . Its not a big deal they will and can issue you emergency advance parole in form of a letter with your picture. It is an emergency lol this person has an AOS interview and is stuck abroad

Great advice. If he's sent back, we will aim for Frankfurt and see what can be done!

  4. Today at the airport, my EAD card was lost while checking into my flight to Paris. I have a flight in the morning from Paris to the US and no longer have my EAD card. After multiple attempts to find it and file a police report I haven't been able to locate it.

I have photocopies of my ead card, my advance parole approval notice, pending AOS receipt notice, marriage license and original K-1 visa on me. What can I do? Can I still board my plane to the US and what are my options if not?

My wife is in the US and can go to our local uscis office or anything that can help.

Anyone have any ideas how to solve this??

    My thoughts...

The reason "unavailable" isn't mentioned in the manual that the adjudicator uses. It does say this:

'If the required vaccinations were not received or not marked as “not medically appropriate” as of the date the medical exam was conducted, determine whether the missing vaccinations would still be required as of the date of adjudication.'

Unavailable would mean they weren't received... so the adjudicator would have to determine if it is required at the date of adjudication, which at current the MMR is.

I would say to go ahead with a CS and i-693, since this vaccine is available in the US.

I hope that helps, good luck :)

Thank you! That sounds right. I wasn't able to find anything on "unavailable" except for a number of UK threads on a vaccine they don't do in the UK but do require in the US.

I've been calling doctors here in the Dallas area and having trouble finding someone who will simply do vaccines instead of only do and charge for the full medical examination so I was hoping the current DS-3025 might be sufficient.

  6. Here on a K1 visa and we are submitting the Adjustment of Status. Had a medical exam in morocco and the DS-3025 appears to be properly filled out and is noted as complete. However, under MMR it says "unavailable" and there is no associated medical waiver in the last column and the other 3 primary shots are all dated. Additionally, we were only given page 1 of 2 by the physician and have never had the second page. This was sufficient for the K1 but we'd like to avoid an RFE on the AOS

Based on this would we go ahead and visit a civil surgeon to get the MMR and and submit the portions of the I-693 for vaccines? Or, should the DS-3025 be sufficient?

    Thank you!
