  1. I am also Syrian lives in Lebanon. I had my interview 7 weeks ago, the very first thing they ask when you are giving them your papers, is where have you been the last 5-10 years. Which countries you have visited? and a direct question, when have you visited Syria last time? Even I lived in Lebanon for the past 7 years yet I go to Syria almost every month. Well, since my interview I was put on Administrative processing and no answer from them since then.

I have been 3 times to the united states and all my backgrounds are clear, I found on the website that I didn't get AP because I travel to Syria, but mainly all Syrians, and other banned countries will get it for more investigations.

    Best of Luck

Congratulations on your approval. Did they ask for anything when you finished your interview? Did they keep your passport and did they tell you the time period of when to expect your visa issued when the congratulated you on your approval?

I hope so soon your AP is finished and you receive your visa.

No they haven't congratulated me for anything. The interview went so smooth and in the end she told me we want you to bring a recent on going relationship proof with your wife "Chat messages" Even I had plenty of proofs. She gave me a g221 paper with my passport. after Four days I printed them a hundreds of chat papers and took it to them at the embassy. They told me I can check my case online, and they will call me when its ready. Its been around 6weeks my case still shows AP. :(

  3. Hi guys,

I had my interview 6 weeks ago in the us embassy in Lebanon. I had every, every thing with me. I am still on AP and many others like me, males and females. What I understood from the websites and from whats happening that the interviewer will make anyone of us seems is missing anything so he/she would be put on AP for unknown time! (There's extreme vetting for Middle Eastern)

  4. I had the same issue and I have mac too. so what I did is this: !- I copied all the chat and paste it into word document then I printed like 50 pages out of hundreds. 2- I took a screen shut for where it show a video calls and also where we exchange pictures of us then I printed that screen shuts and added them to the other documents.

If you guys use Viber or WhatsApp there is something there is called backup messages which enable you to send all your chat history to your email then you print it as well. It is amazing that it gives the hour, minuet, and seconds.

    Hope this was helpful,

    Best of luck

if you read the original post

the priority date is March 2016, so it has already been a year, how much longer does he have to wait?

No body can tell the exact waiting time, this what my lawyer always says, but for my case we sent our I 130 July2015 we got Case Complete in February 3 2017, (20 months till the C.C) I am waiting now for my priority date for the interview. One of my friends took him 3 years while his friend got C.C in 9 months. Every case is different.

It could be as Nansy mentioned earlier around 10 more months. more or less.

Blessings to everyone of us, and wish all the best

OP stated his PD and asked how long until his case is ready, OP didn't ask how long it takes total for F2A.

Well, I doubt that he already have submitted his papers to nvc and had got a C.C. The nvc doesn't give C.C this much far from the PD.

That's why I talked in my first Comment about the whole process waiting time.

Please stop making false post. OP asked a specify question.

I am not making a false post Nancy, I am on F2A right now and I am waiting for my priority date for my interview to be scheduled. I already been waiting for 20 months since I applied for my I 130.

    Be blessed

  8. Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts. Just my wife finished her call with the NVC and they said the same. They will continue processing the case till it comes to the interview, then will be on hold till further orders. May be after 90days they will be allowed to do interviews and issue visas.

    All the best to all,

  9. Dear VJ'er, I am from Syria which one of the 7 countries were affected by the President ban. I live in Lebanon on a student visa "am not a refugee". My case is under process in the NVC and I was hoping soon to receive a CC and later an interview. Unfortunately, the ban came and I don't know what it's meant for such cases.
Is it because I am Syrian the NVC will stop processing my case? Is it gonna continue after the 90days? Is the ban cancel my I130 case?
    Too confuse :(

Perhaps when your wife calls, she can tell the rep that it's been 18+ weeks, and that she would like to speak with a supervisor and wouldn't mind remaining on hold until one comes available. The best times to call are 7:00 am - 9:00 am EST and 10:00 pm - 11:45 pm EST. This is just my own personal advice.

    Amen to your prayer.

Hi Ahmed, and Amy, Just to update you with our new. A while ago my wife called the NVC and requested to talk to a supervisor, well the lady told her that there is no supervisor is available now and you need to call later, and also she told her that; your case has left from the supervisor and it is now in the document review, supervisors cannot do anything to you, she told her that you suppose to wait for 6weeks since the case got to the review department, and later you suppose to hear from them.

Well I wonder why the case has to stay almost 4months at the supervisor  review, and now atlas 6weeks in the document review! is it because our home regions? or that happens with some cases? I don't know!

    God help us all

I have no clue why it would take so long. Have you called and requested to speak to a supervisor? If not, then I believe you really should. I was worried too at first, but I've realized that I can not worry about what is not in my control at the moment. I have to stay positive for my own sanity and trust that everything will work out.

I really believe you will have no problems about the ban, your case is being process and hopefully soon you will receive your CC. Call at their later hours or at the time they open and request to speak to a supervisor, as it seems it's easier to get a hold of them then.

To be honest with you I never spoke to the NVC. Since I live in Lebanon and my wife lives in USA, therefore, she is the one who always talk to them. My wife doesn't like to call NVC more than a time a week, and she never talk to the supervisor, I just asked her to call them again today, and request that. But because she called them yesterday and nothing was new for her to hear. She says "They always say the same, NO new thing happened", therefore, she doesn't want to call them today. May be if nothing new happens by next week, she call them and request that.

Thanks and God bless all our cases,

    Prayerfully

Trump's executive order targets the refugees, there is talk that they will suspend issuing Visas for resudents of several countries including Syria for 39 days, this order has not been signed yet, even if it does, the worst that it will do to you is delay your Visa for 39 days, but you Haven't cleared the NVC so you should be fine... stay strong :)

    Thanks Qabtawi

God Willing, your case is fine. And most likely will not be affected by the ban. The ban has not been enacted and thus you should be fine. Hopefully you will get a CC soon. Have you had the chance to speak to a supervisor in regards to your case? I wish you the best of luck.

Appreciate taking the time to write that, but first why 18weeks and nothing? it is too much. Second I am really worried of this actions by the new president.

    Prayerfully

  14. Oh I really got headache and too tired of looking and searching.

My case has been 18weeks at the NVC and every call they say not reviewed yet/at the supervisor review/ or at the department review/

and now Mr. Trump came with this new ban, which I don't know exactly how badly will affect my !130 case in this stage since I am from Syria and my wife is originally from Iraq.

Just a note: Yes I am Syrian and I live in Lebanon, but am not a refugee, I live here on a student resident, and have newly graduated to become full time church pastor. I had visited the USA three time during the last four years, and we even got married in the USA.

How my case sounds bad to you guys?

    Thanks

Hopefully no one here is from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, or Syria

"U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to sign several executive orders on Wednesday restricting immigration from Syria and six other Middle Eastern or African countries, according to several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter"

oh REALLY. Well I am from Syria originally but I live in Lebanon for the past 6 years. Am not refugee, I am studying theology to become a church pastor, graduated from my BA last June. My wife is originally from Iraq, but she is a US resident "Green Card only". I130 was approved and paid everything, and submitted all the papers. Just waiting for a case complete from NVC

Do you think my case would be included in Trump's new decision if he really sign it today?

    Please advice.

Hi! I doubt that's correct because some explanation points those last 3 digits are number of cases of particular embassy for some current day. So it's about only one day, not how many should be interviewed at all.

    2. Write down your case number. It is a series of three letters and 10 numbers with no dashes or spaces. An example NVC case number looks like this: MNL2013524001.

    3. Split the figures as follows: LLL NNNN NNN NNN, where "L" is a letter and "N" is a number.

    4. Read the three letters from the left. This is the code for the U.S. consulate that has jurisdiction over the visa applicant's location. It is where you will get a visa interview. For example, "MNL" refers to the U.S. consulate in Manila.

    5. Read the first four numbers following the letters. In this example it is "2013." This is the year that the NVC received the visa application.

    6. Read the next three numbers. This is the day of the year in which the case was received. It is the figure minus 500. For example, "524" means NVC got the package on the 24th day of the year, January 24.

    7. Read the last three numbers in the case number. It tells you the order it was assigned to the consulate that day. In this example, it is "001" so it was the first case created for the Manila consulate on Jan. 24, 2013.

Hope this can guide you well,

    Best of luck
