By the grace of God, we were approved yesterday!!!  I arrived home from a visit from Cebu and vacation in El Nido, Palawan.  I decided to check my app after leaving LAX and boarding the metro to discover our approval.  What a way to end a perfect vacation.  Thoughts and prayers for those waiting.  It will come!

@geowrian gave a really good answer to this question a few pages back (as it has been asked 'once or twice' before).  Go look at his posts by clicking on his profile or take some time to skim through some of the recent pages.

We all would like to know how USCIS works exactly ... so.sorry but I'm not able to tell why

The impression I got was that the interviewer had already mostly made up their mind based on the evidence we submitted in the petition. They never asked for the supporting evidence (photos, chat logs, etc).
 
The interview only lasted about 5 minutes. I believe the only questions were "tell me about your fiance," and she asked about the denied tourist visa. She also asked, "So the last time you saw your fiance was in Japan?" and my fiancee replied, "No, that was in 2015. We last saw each other in Jakarta." I don't know if the interviewer did that on purpose to ensure Gaby had her story straight, or if she just forgot when our Japan trip was. Regardless, it seems the main thing the interview wanted was for Gaby's answers to match what we had already stated in the petition.
 
The interview took place in a private room (or booth?), but there was also a glass window. 
 
By the way, Gaby said the interviewer (an American woman) was extremely friendly, unlike her experience with the tourist visa. She said the people who take/check your documents are a bit rude, but that the interviewer was very nice and commented about us being a really cute couple. So my advice is be prepared (we were waaay overprepared, but that's not a bad thing!) since every case is different and they may ask more questions, but don't be nervous. It ended up being much easier than anticipated.

I can't even express how happy and relieved I am right now. Obviously we still have a lot to deal with with regard to AoS, etc, but this was such a weight off our shoulders. Her tourist visa was denied last year, which was an absolutely crushing feeling. So glad things worked out this time.

For those still waiting on their NOA2, it will come and things start to move as quickly as you want them too once it reaches your embassy.  I saw this online earlier hopefully some humor can ease your waiting for today 

Your frustration is understandable.  That said, many of us are still waiting who have NOA1 dates back in November.  If your timeline is correct I don't think anyone would expect you'd have an NOA2 by now.

Thanks Chi for all of your support! You are too kind! I couldn't have taken all of this time of waiting if all you guys and all of your support didn't exist, don't get me wrong my fiancee is a great support as well but sometimes its nice to have the support of others who know the process a bit more. He gets to sit back and just wait this entire time, well, his time will come soon once we get NOA2 and its off to Chile!

We received our rfe letter yesterday. That is a week wait between receiving our rfe notice and getting the letter.
 
It wasn't about okcupid at all like I had suspected. My fiancé missed one check box... dohh! Least its an easy fix

There are still people on here who filed almost seven weeks before you - so no, there's no problem.  Cases are processed in batches - at any given time we have seen cases being processed that are up to a couple of months apart on their received dates so try not to worry if cases around your own are processed.  It doesn't mean there is a problem - there seems to be a certain degree of luck involved as to whether your case gets processed quickly or takes a while.

137 days from posting the i-129f (7th November) to visa in hand (today - 24th March 2017)
 
It took only seven and a half weeks from NOA2 approval to visa in hand - so if you are still waiting for your NOA2 be aware that everything can be pretty quick after that! (About five weeks from getting our case number from NVC)

RFE response received just came through today~ Now the re-waiting game...

I wonder why they don't finish all the November before move on to December. They process over 100s of December each but left behind around 272 of November. Kind of disappointed that on the website said they process first filed application.I have been waited over 124 days.
