  1. It is the mistake of NVC but your sister in law might get in trouble during the interview. If the Filipino screener and the consular officer ask her when did her mom arrive in the US which they usually ask, then there... They double check too all the documents even after the interview even if you're all good and were sent home without any 221g form (brother got delayed because of that and he got the papers they need during his interview, they just overlooked at it)..the passport/ green card copy of your mother in law will surely show that she wasn't here yet on Dec, 2012 and December 2013 is not yet current. You can only have your case be expedited if your pd is current. God bless and good luck to your sis in law's case. Please update us on what the Manila Us embassy will say about this.

  2. If your petition takes a long time to be able to be approved at USCIS, it will be an advantage for you because you'll have a longer allowance for CSPA. With your age and the current priority date plus if the movement is 5-6 weeks like before, you might be transferred to fb2 when your files reach NVC which will take an extra of about 8 yrs of waiting...unless the priority date jumps to current or very close to the current date then you'll get a better chance. God bless and good luck.

  3. F2a can have derivatives during the process meaning, you can bring your kid with you. Once your petition reaches Nvc, there's a form that you will need to fill up online and it will ask if you have a son and if you would want to bring him with you. Your petitioner will then need to pay two for the affidavit of support fee and two for the immigration visa fee. God bless and good luck

  4. Prepare the papers for your petition for your mom while you're on the process of your naturalization. Once you receive your certificate of Naturalization, make a copy, add to the papers of your mom then submit right away. When your mom's interview gets closer, prepare the papers for your younger siblings, for their I 130, just leave the ssn blank as of that time and gather other documents like birth certificates... Once your mom arrives here and after she receives her social security number ( needed in i130 ), complete the form, print them, add with the other requirements, photocopy your mom's passport with the visa on it ( once she enters, there's that thing there which can be use as an evidence for green card which is good for once year while waiting for the physical green card) then send them to the USCIS.

I dId that before...was trying to get my two youngest sibs, 19.5 yo and 18 yo at that time. Was anxious that my brother will not catch up because it was taking 2 years for f2a at that time and he was turning 20 on that year. Thankfully, by God's will, the approval took a long time at CSC, about 15 months so he had 15 months extra when he turned 21 plus his priority date became current a month before he turned 21. So even if he is already 21 turning 22 this month, he just got his visa and arriving in a week;) God bless and good luck to you;)

  5. You can only get an interview when you 1. Completed your case at Nvc and 2. Your priority date is current. Last month, the pd for visa availability was September 2013 but sadly for this month it retrogressed to May 2012. So you didn't get any interview letter. And even if you'll be able to get an interview, they will not issue a visa to you because your pd is not current anymore. All you can do now is wait until your pd gets current again and then they'll assign an interview for you.

  6. Hello! that is exactly what happened to me.. i rescheduled on earlier date and i was told that st.lukes still has the result.. my question is how long before they issued you a visa... how long is the waiting period for them to receive my medical result.. your response.will.be highly appreciated... thanks in advance..

Hi! It took about three weeks from the interview date until the visa was delivered to our home in Pangasinan. My

mom even went to st. Luke's after her interview and asked them to submit her medical records to the embassy. As far as I remember, she was given a paper (221g) and was told to wait for their call. They didn't ask for any other documents, didn't return her passport and was told they were just waiting for her medical results. She never gotten a call from them and just as I mentioned, it took about three weeks until she got her visa packet. Just be patient. You're almost there:)

  7. Hi! We experienced this with my mother too before. When she was asked to do the sputum test, and asked to wait for 8 weeks for the result ( which came out negative), I decided to reschedule her interview appointment. She didn't go on her scheduled interview and just waited for the 8 week cultivation of the sputum. I was able to pick a date 1 week after that 8 week due and she was able to get her vaccines too. The only bump that we encountered was that when she went for the interview, st Luke's had still her medical result. If the chosen interview date is close to the date of the medical exam, it's wise to just tell the people at st. Luke's that you'll hand carry the result. When is the pd of your mom? Yea it seems like retrogression is coming yet we don't know exactly which month of this spring because f2a category is kind of unpredictable. Good luck and God bless.

  8. Your pd became current on July 2013. Your case can be hit or miss but when I tried the online cspa calculator, it shows that you are covered by cspa and eligible in obtaining a visa. Maybe if in case you get denied during the interview, try to appeal that you are still covered by cspa because of the date the first time your pd became current. God bless you to your interview. Hope that you can update us on how the interview went:) I hope and pray the best of you.

  9. Yes I did it for my sister. I went to ustraveldocs.com/ph and schedule online. You have to put in infos and you can pick your dates for interview. As of now Jan 9 is the earliest available. Try it as long as you are cc already

I understand that you can schedule an interview once you get cc but be careful in choosing a date because if you choice a date and your documents haven't arrived at the embassy or if they haven't check your documents, they might just send you back and might ended up getting a later interview. Just my thought:)

  10. Hi! You don't need to wait for their green card to send the paper works. In lieu of it you can photocopy their passport the biographic part and the part where they entered the us 'cause that is good as green card for one year. This is what we did for my siblings when my mom applied for their petition. As long as your parents got their SSN already which will be needed in the i130 form.

As for the NVC process, do they live with you. If yes you can fill up the 864a as a member of household. Make sure that your income is enough or above the 125% of the poverty guideline with the number of people in your household plus your parents and your siblings. If not you need to look for a co sponsor who can meet that. Provide evidence showing that they live with you like Ids, bills on their name, etc. you can also provide pay stubs and letter of employment. If their income is zero write an explanation letter why and why they don't have itr. Read here and you'll get a lot of idea.Good luck and God bless:)

  11. He is the petitioner so he is the main sponsor and should be filling up the i864. Now, as you said, that he doesn't have a job and on vacation in the Philippines, you can be the co sponsor and needs to fill up a i864a if you live on same household; or another i864 if not. Read the instruction for i864a. You can have him fill up the form and gather evidences like tax returns, explanation letter indicating he doesn't have job right now and have 0 as current annual income, then send them to NVC:) I hope this helps:)

  12. anxious feeling....!!!its 20 working days of aos checklist today and 15 working days of iv docs...you think fellow VJ iwill call d NVC now????

Definitely call them. My siblings Aos checklist was entered on oct 18 and they received our civil documents on the 8th of October, filled up the ds26o oct 10th. Iv got approved nov 1 and just called awhile ago and learned that both of my brother and sister''s cases got case completed since Friday nov 8. That's 15 business days since aos cl was entered. God bless and good luck :)

  13. Hi! My siblings just got case completed at NVC. They had their advance medical exam last October:) they preregistered online. They brought a copy of that form that you filled up together with the copy of their noa2 plus the email from NVC where the case number is showing (first email we got from them) and the category in lieu of the interview letter. The pictures and other stuffs to be needed is written at slec website:) try to avoid going there Monday and just after holiday 'cause there will be a lot of people. Some get it done in one day but it seems like it is a two day medical so don't go Friday. Good luck to your sis and God bless. Your sis will have an interview on January like my brother and sister:)

  14. .

Sorry for interruption...just want to share what we are experiencing. I have 2 f2a siblings who are at NVC stages, waiting for case completion and 4 f2b siblings who are waiting for further instruction. All of them have a pd of March 2012. They all got approved last June 2013 and arrived at NVC on August. Each of them got their own case number but only the ones with f2a category were able to continue the process because their pds are current. Our mom received an email for the other 4 who are at f2 b category saying that visas are not available for them at this time and wait for further instruction. We know that they'll be waiting for 10 more years. They might get contacted by NVC 1 year before their priority date becomes current to finish the NVC stage:)

So Nilo jayr as what apple1 mentioned only you with the f2a category will be able to continue the process while the f2b will need to wait and be single during that time.

  15. Hi all I need help Please,

MY I-130 Approved (NOA2) on OCT 4th. On OCT 9th I received email from USCIS that file send to NVC.

1). so I think after wait for week should start calling NVC and ask for case no and invoice no right? ---> yes, you can call but usually they assign the case number and invoice number two weeks after they received the papers.

2). After getting NVC Case # and IIN assigned I have to fill out DS-261 (Choice of Agent) completed online and pay fee of ($88) right? ---->yes

3). Instead of I 864 forums should I have to fill DS 260 online and package of IV and fee?----> the $88 that you paid is the Aos fee and that is the affidavit of support. Form i864 is the aos form and everyone needs to fill that up and submit it with the other requirements that go with it to NVC. Print the document cover sheet from the paid $88 to be placed on top of your aos documents. Once your ds261, choice of agent, gets approved/accepted that's the time they will generate the iv fee, you'll receive an email when it is ready to be paid. After you paid that and when it shows paid that's the time you can access the ds260 form. Print the document sheets after paying the iv fee and place that on top of your civil documents to be sent to NVC.

4). For sponsorship right now I have unemployed income and I earn 16k before I lost my job in 2012 I had 50k tax. Be in safe side should I need co-sponsor for my spouse?---> if you are presently unemployed, no matter how much you earn before, you need a co sponsor unless you really have a large amount of assets and money on your bank account.

    Thanks in advance.
