Hello everyone. I am writing this in behalf of my mother's petitions for my siblings. They got approved last June 26, 2013. It's been more than a month and when I called NVC they said they haven't received the file and told me about the 8 weeks thingy.,.. Anyone who experienced this? What did you do? thank you so much and God bless:)

Hi! We actually had the same case. I petitioned my mom and she arrived last year. I also prepared the papers for the petition of my siblings so when my mom arrived we just needed to wait for her ssn and green card. It took a month for her to receive her ssn. As you know , you'll be needing that on the i130. We just photo copied her passport where the visa is and her arrival date stamped on the page ( didnt wait for the green card) .Together with it we submitted the i130, processing fee, photo copy of my siblings birth certificate. I can't remember the others but you can see the requirements at the uscis website- child of lpr petitioning below 21. One of my brothers was 19 and 6 months at the time of application and it took 15 months until we got our approval ( last month). Csc was so slow in approving last year but now it seems like they are approving in a fast pace. So he got 15 months allowance when he reaches 21 and if he is not yet here. We are on NVC stage waiting for case number and hoping to finish their cases while f2a is still current:) he'll be 21 on sept but as I said he got 15 months to be deducted on his age, thanks for cspa:) God bless and good luck for your journey. The waiting is killing me specially seeing others who were approved after mine getting their NVC numbers but I guess we really don't have a choice but to wait:) Come on NVC... Pick up our case and enter them in your system... So near yet so far.. Ugh!

Actually my mom sent 6 petitions for my 6 siblings. 2 of them are f2a and 4 are f2b got march 26, 2012 for pd. All of them got approved on same day,June 26, 2013. I was worried that they could have stored the f2a petitions together with the f2bs. Seeing that you haven't received yours and you are a day ahead of me, I feel abit better. We're probably on same place/ station. Dont get me wrong that I am good at this but probably some people are just really taking this like walking in the park and taking their sweet time in entering/ sending our files:) I look at my mom's petition two years ago and it took our case more than a month to get to NVC. Last March 16, 2012, my mom, who is a green card holder, filed 6 I130 petitions for my 6 siblings. 2 of them are under 21 and 4 are above 21. We mailed them in one envelope and only separated the each files using clips. Now last June 26, 2013, all of them got approved..both f2a and f2b...we were expecting for the f2as to be approved but not the f2bs but still very thankful. It's probably because they are in one envelope? Its been 3 weeks and when i called NVC this morning, to inquire for the 2 f2as, they said it's not yet in the system... My questions are

1. Do they make separate folders for every case even if you are siblings and petitions were submitted in one envelope?

2. Do they enter the files right away even if ,like f2b in Philippines, takes about 10 years to be current once they had been approved by the USCIS?

3 Was there a possibility that our F2A files had been mixed up with the F2B files and then stored away?

4.When should I start panicking( contacting someone for help)?

5.How long is the usual wait from NOA2, for the files to be received by NVC?

We really want to take advantage of the f2a being current before it retrogress..

Hi! You need to file the I130 first together with its requirements. For f2a category (you're filing for your husband right?), the waiting period for approval as of now is about 18 months for CSC. Once you got approved, NVC will send you a letter or email for the second stage where you will have to pay the affidavit of support fee and the immigration visa fee. That's when you are going to send your I864 together with the receipts of these fees. God bless to your journey:)

Some cases even if they've already completed their cases and their priority dates become current, it's not automatically that they'll get an interview date/letter due to the fact that there is a maximum number of visas issued on each category in every country. Some take few more months after their priority date becomes current to really get an interview date just like in your case. The lawyer of your mom tried to expedite your case but unfortunately it didn't really get the result you want it to be. The good thing is that you guys are almost at the end of the tunnel The civil documents they're asking you, some of the documents like NBI, CENOMAR and police clearance have expiration dates so you need to get new ones. They'll be looking for these during the interview. Bring these things with you even your mom's latest income tax return. There is a group here, F2A Philippines, who can give you more advice because most of them had gone through the process. Just search for them here at visajourney.

Now that you got your interview date, go for your medical exam but remember that the result of the exam is good for 6 months which will go with the expiration date of your visa when you got it after your interview. Enjoy your remaining days there in the Philippines:), until you take a vacation from here anyway.

Hi Dada! Usually to be able to get an interview date, you must have completed your case first at NVC. That is, submitting the choice of agent, paying the IV fee(immigration visa), submitting the affidavit of support form together with your mom's income tax returns and the DS 230 with the civil documents to NVC. When your petition got approved it should have been transferred to NVC and your mom had been notified. Usually few months before your priority date becomes current,the NVC will ask you/your mom to submit those stuffs I mentioned above. I don't know what happen with your case but because you were able to set an interview date, you can go to St.Luke with the printed interview date you got. It should show your case number too, if not bring a copy of your NOA2 too.

Has your mom submitted the affidavit of support to NVC? Ask your mom if she was able to comply everything on what the NVC had been asking. If she did and your case is actually complete. Those requirements are delivered by the NVC to the Manila US Embassy for your interview. God bless you and your dad with this journey. Hope you'll be able to join your mom here in the US soon

Hi! I don't really have a personal experience with your case but I'll try to answer your questions based on what I read and understood here in this website.

You were delayed probably because of the cut off. Then there was the retrogression.

Now that you got your interview date, go to your medical exam. The result, if everything went well, is valid for six months.As well as the visa that you'll be getting once you're done and got approved from your interview.Usually the expiration of the visa goes together with the expiration of your medical exam.

With the questions on the interview, the best people to ask are your siblings who were able to come here last year. They had the experience already :D

Now with your age, you turned 21 right? There is this thing they call CSPA where your age is protected on certain cases. On your case you deduct the amount of time your petition got approved, from NOA1 to NOA2 and if you're age is less than 21 yrs. old like 20 yrs and 11 months old, then you are fine.This age should be used when your priority date became available at the visa bulletin(don't know your priority date so i can't tell). Now, if your parent was able to start the process at NVC where Choice of Agent and the DS 230 are in before the retrogression, I think your age during that time had already been frozen so you're still at f2a category.

Not yet because she hasn't had her interview which will be next month. I think they can have the CFO seminar after their interview and when they have their passport with the visa in it. Some here said you can go and attend the seminar in advance w/o your visa but then you need to go back when your visa is at your hand because they'll put a sticker on your passport which will be checked at the airport before departure. So i think it's best to just wait for the passport with the visa and then have the CFO seminar:)

hi ivyvid..im planning to send my mom and dad for their advance medical next mos.the only email that I received from NVC is the one that had case # and iinvoice # too..so is that the one that your mom showed to the guard?

To Tuckers_wife, yup, that's what i let my mom printed out that time. If you can scan the NOA2 too, scan it and have them print that too. And just tell them to be firm that they can have the medical exam w/o the interview letter. Some guards don't know that and only look for the interview letter. It is also stated at St. Lukes' website that as long as you have your case number and category preference, you can have your medical exam. As of my mom's, they returned her passport. I don't know if they'll get it when she goes back there for the immunization but some here said that they returned theirs and they just brought their passports at the Manila US Embassy during their interview.

There is no scheduling for the medical exam at St. Lukes. You can go there after you got your interview letter or have the medical exam in advance as long as you have you case number and category preference:)

Hi! If you gave your email address, you'll receive the interview letter of your parent through email just wait for few days. I applied for my mom last March and when I got her NVC case number, I let her go to Saint Lukes for her advance medical exam(to save time if she'll have the sputum test which she had to). She had a little hard time going in at first because they want the interview letter but even with the NVC case number only,(i let her print the notice that NVC emailed to us w/ her case number)she was able to have her medical exam. Some here said your parent can show your NOA2 and your parent's NVC case number to the guard at St. Lukes and your parent can get her/his medical exam. Mom had her medical exam last August 26 and our case just got completed last Sept. 9.We received the interview letter through email at Sept. 13.She needed to come back last Sept 12 to have the sputum test. She just printed the interview letter and showed to them when she returned. I rescheduled her interview and we will be able to get the result of the sputum test in the next two weeks (yay!6 weeks just went by so fast). She'll then have her interview next month if the test turns out negative by God's will:)Hope your parent's medical exam turns out fine. Good luck and God bless;)

Hi! I just petitioned my mom last March and now she will be having her interview next month at Manila. I am a stay home mom of two so I didn't have any income for the past 4 years. I had my husband filled out an I-864A for a co sponsor and no problem at all.Hope everything will turn out fine with you. God bless:)

just last September, i and my son traveled to Philippines. My husband followed after two weeks. Before the trip going there, i got a notarized affidavit stating that my husband is allowing me to travel with our son. I used my Philippine passport with my maiden name so i brought my marriage certificate to show the name change together with my green card.I even brought the birth certificate of my son just in case 'cause he got a US passport. Everything went smoothly and they didn't even check the affidavit so tell your wife not to worry too much:)

yup you are right...I notice too that with those who filed at Texas, it seems like it's very slow... It's just I'm on my 8th month of pregnancy and kind of worried that I might give birth during the interview..lol..I just hope it's true what she told me..oh well as you said i'll just better wait and if i get into labor on that the same day we'll just reschedule it . I pray for all of us guys to be able to finish this and become a USC:)

A lot of us in Nov did our FP 2 months ago and havent received a letter...

You just did your FP on Dec 20th....

Considering when I did mine I should hang myself....

And then when i called she said she cant give me a date!!!!...atleast she gave you a date..whether it is right or just a ploy to shut you up..she gave you a date....

So hang in there...you will get it.

Hi everyone. I've been checking this forum since i filed my application last November too. Can you add me up.

Nov. 18, 2010 -n400 application sent at Phoenix, AZ local field is Chicago,Ill (90 days before my green card turns 3 years old: married usc)

Nov. 22, 2010 -check cashed

Dec. 6, 2010 -noa1

Dec. 10,2010 -biometric letter received

Dec. 20, 2010 -FP

It's been a month since my fp and i haven't received any letter for interview. I was worried that the letter might have been lost on it's way here especially that it seems all filers in Phoenix got theirs, i called the 1-800 number. I asked for a 2-tier but the call rep. insisted that she might be able to help so i told her my case. She kept on telling me what was on the website about requesting an evidence and i told her several times that i already did my biometric. After talking with her for like 10 minutes I just asked her to transfer me to the 2-tier and she did. I've waited 45 minutes to speak to a person..and thank God I still had that very little patience left to wait before I decided to hang the phone. .She asked my infos and then i told her regarding not having my interview letter until now. She said I am already in line and based on the record I'll be having my interview on March 21! that far... She said an interview letter hasn't been mailed but I'll get it in a few days. I asked if they can move it to an earlier sched but she said I can make a request but i might ended up having the interview on April. Oh well I told her, i'll just wait for that one in March ...If you guys had been waiting for a while it is best to call the 1-800 number and ask for level 2 or 2-tier.
