It works perfect for most of us, it's only in rare cases you end up with a SS worker who refuses to do it. Then you might have to wait for your EAD. But at least you have your SS number which you can still use even if the card is in your maiden name still.

Hi babygurl! Well the review for FLL as POE is pretty much constant. Before I flew in here, I already read the same reviews about FLL, people wait for 2 hrs or so just to get their docs verified and validated. So I already know what to expect. And that's with or without the  presence of the petitioner..

It was pretty smooth to be honest but if you are on a connecting flight from FLL (which I am assuming you are since you are going to Ohio), please make sure that you have enough time in between arrival and departure since waiting sucks. All passengers must go to a room for passport and document verification which took 2hrs of waiting for me.

Hey everyone, we already got our visa and I'm traveling soon to the US to Ohio but my POE will be Fort Lauderdale. I would like to know if anyone has any recent experience (OF THIS YEAR) on this POE . Also I would like to ask if anyone knows how is the process of getting the SSN in Cleveland, OH.If I would need to do it before or after getting the marriage license.

You should always go get your SSN around 2-5 days after POE. If not you might have issues getting it later on and you might have to wait for months until you receive your EAD. 
 
If you have a name change when you get married you just go back to the SS office with your mariage certificate and have them change the name on your card.

My fiancé had his interview in Syndey two days ago and was only asked three questions.
 
1. Have you lived in any country other than Australia and America for more than a year?
2. The last time you saw your fiancée (it was 30 minutes ago  )
3. And we already forgot the last question. Sorry. 
 
Then was told he was approved, our process took under 30 minutes. I am visiting so we went out and celebrated after.  Yay! My fiancé did say two people were denied on front of him because they didn't have the correct paper. But follow the guidelines and its goes pretty smoothly
