Thanks, in this tough world, I think all of us, with different political persuasions, should listen to what people say from the outside and try harder to make things work. I know I have a lot of flaws, that will not be corrected if I don't listen. So do our political parties.

I don't know about the same views; we certainly have a different dynamic. She believes I should shut the ###### up so I don't risk suffering support for the family.

MYTH LIBERALISM IS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

The difficulty with liberalism is it has become a religion. Liberals are “right” as a matter of faith. This comes from someone who was a democrat from 1974-1990. I don’t vote republican but would never vote democratic.

My first disillusionment came after fighting forest fire on an elite crew for seven years. After seven years all experienced men on the crew, Black, White and Native American were in essence fired and blackballed because: the forest service was looking for “the cream of the crop so men could not apply”. (Notice how this policy did not apply to men applying for professional positions, men more likely to be represented by liberal policies). Now before you shout sexist toward me, I agree with affirmative action. (Definitely a liberal policy). Affirmative action is based on the principle that all things being equal the under represented class gets the job.

Three years later we won the legal case. (Bragdon v. Yeuteer) This case stated that it was not women who had been discriminated against in fire the last 10 years, but men. In fact, if you checked career advancement before the fired all of us, you would have seen that a women of equal experience and education to myself and other men who came into work at the same times were g.s. 11 to 13s while we averaged g.s. 4s. By the time the case was decided the discrepancy was much higher because we were all fired.

In 1990 when the case was decided, I expected an apology and some of our rights restored. How wrong I was as all those people, liberals, who had violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964, were given Civil Rights Awards and promotions.

So this is where I am on the social justice issue. Remember, I worked in the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's in Virginia passing open housing petitions around. Liberals don’t give a ####### about social justice; in fact they are worse than conservatives on these issues. In fact, if you look at liberal policy, you will find it highly discriminatory against working class America. If it believed in justice, affirmative action would be based on economic factors rather than genetic factors. This would include a much higher percentage of minorities because they have suffered economically because of discrimination. This will never happen. Liberalism is about creating nice dual careers for people who vote democratic and has nothing to do with social justice.

In 1991 I dragged my sorry ### into law school. This was scary for me because I am learning disabled. (I have never asked for any help from anyone because I am learning disabled). It scared me because even though I knew I had the intelligence to make it through law school, in the top 15% on the LSAT’S I did not know if I was going to be able to express that knowledge. And if I didn’t make it, rightfully so, who should suffer an attorney who cannot express himself sufficiently?

MYTH, LIBERALS ARE FOR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION

My second unpleasant experience with liberalism, occurred in the last few years. Recently, the public defender system of Montana was revamped. The person who ended up being put in charge of the system was the wife of the assistant attorney general in charge of prosecution for the state. I felt this was a conflict. I talked to a high ranking member on the committee who picked her, they had been each others first law partners. These people are all liberals. For my honest voicing of opinion, my great liberal friends pretty much destroyed my career, alla, Joe McCarthy.

This is what I have to say. If liberalism was honest in 1/3 of its assertions, they would be elected by landslide votes every year. I think it is funny. George Bush is an imbecile. The democrats or so incompetent, they cannot find some one to beat an imbecile in an election.

So for all of you who will criticize me, because this is not well written, let me say, I get on a forum for enjoyment, not to write adequately written dissertations.

Have you ever been in a situation, where you are going to deal with major casualties? I have had too. I was working for the United States Government as an expert in fighting forest fires. In my tenure there, 1979-1989 no forest service employ burnt to death on fire. I 1986 the forest service instituted a hiring policy that was highly illegal and foreshadowed the death on fire of many. I brought this out to them; they would not listen. After every attempt to go through channels, I hit them where they deserved to be hit. In the crotch.

Check out what happened in forest fire after 1989. Many people burnt to death. For those who oppose what the pilot did, I wish that they fly with a pilot who will not tell them that the plane is unsafe. Very Darwinian as these people should not spread their atavistic genes and rancid chromosome into the gene pool.

As someone who does public defense work all I can say is that you have a duty to diligently represent your client. One of the worst jobs that ever existed, but needed.

The visa and culture things make this a hard question. My fiancee was married when I met her. She had not seen her husband in four years. It took us 6 months to get this situation taken care of because in the Philippines divorce is illegal. Then there was the visa thing. We would have gotten married right at that time but we heard that the fiancee visa was a quicker means of entry into the United States. If she gets turned down for her visa, I will fly over there and marry her right away.

Before we had sex I had proposed and she had accepted. Though not sanctioned by the state, i considered myself married to her at that time.

I wouldn't want to put my values system here on others; this is a highly personal choice between two individuals who are special to each other.

Again I think a cultural thing. My Fiancee is Filipino. I think we have missed 2 days of chatting in the last year and 1/2. It is very important for us to stay in touch. I know what you are going through though. She was raising her child when I first met her and was not working or going to school. I am putting her through nursing school now and our time to chat has been drastically curtailed. This is difficult on both of us.

Ouch, Can't give you much help. But, those people who build computers say buy something from someone who builds (this could be self serving). What are you looking for. Both Dell and Gateway will give you a cheap basic and then cut off and arm and a leg to build it into something more complicated. If you do not need to go beyond basic, they are okay.

22 years - she was born 23 days after I graduated college. If she were 21 or something like that, it would be weird, but she’s going on 30.

A relatively large age difference seems normal for Brazilians. Her friend’s husband is also 22 years older.

Odds are she will be only 60 something when I kick. But any thing can happen. My parents lived into their 90’s.

We’ve talked about the age difference several times and she’s okay with it. Live for now.

I agree. You know we can plan and plan, but in the end things probably won't work out like we planned it away. I figure my life hasn't been conventional so far, so why should I start being conventional now?

It was real interesting for me. I was looking for a woman 40-50 but was looking to go down to 30 if she was willing to have children. The first thing I did after our 5 hour first chat was to check out Filipino culture to figure out why a 27 year old women would be interested in a 48 year old man. It said, age is respected, a bit over weight is respected, and education is really respected. So, as an ex-athelete getting heavy, being 48 and having a Juris Doctorate, I guess I was perfect for her. She sure is perfect for me.

I have no best friends

I have two friends. My best friend ever is my dog Sadie. She is dying of lymphatic cancer. I have had her on chemo for the last year. The first 2 chemo stopped working, now the third has stopped working. I will probably have to put her to sleep next week. Today we had our last road trip with my other best friend Lady. We followed the Clarks Fork river from Superior Mt. to Thompson Falls Mt. We stopped many places so the "good girls" could smell the woods. We bought some fast food. (What the heck, who cares about diet, she will be dead in a week). Then I went to the store and bought liver and cheap hamburger. Sadie like hamburger cooked then in water poured over her food. She will get her favorite dish the last week of her life along with the liver. Lady will get some too.

Lady is a very friendly pit bull. I would not have her but I was with a psychotic ex-girlfriend. I know all of us say are exs are psychotic, but Holly (God bless her) saw "Demon ####" and "Little Green Men". She is out of the institution now and in to a group home. Anyway, I inherited Lady from her. Lady is a good dog and we will help each other as we make it through the loss of Sadie.

As a 30 year democrat I gave up on the Democratic party when it endorsed the policy of the federal government that "we are looking for the 'cream of the crop' so genetically inferior people cannot apply”. (Law Case Bragdon vs. Yeutor, have to go through the freedom of information act to get it) 2 congressional investigations later, Congress found that the Democrats were indeed wrong. Hiring should be based on merit, not those people the Democrats deemed genetically superior or inferior. I grew up in the civil rights movement. I passed around open housing petitions in the 1960s. The fact that the Democratic party openly endorses a view on races that correlates to the Nazis and the Klu Klux Klan is unacceptable. I sure the hell don’t support the republicans.

So before you try to win your argument based on total emotionalism, look at the roots of liberalism. It is based on logic and science. Not the slanted bs of the last 40 years.

Bottom line. Both parties are intellectually, morally and effectively bankrupt. However, Bush’s political stupid statements are aimed at a directive. That statement has nothing in terms of objective. It is clearly a hoax.
