I would say your best bet would be USA citizens.
I got my letters from two friends I got to know through my husband
Hope this helps and good luck!
-
Yes. I brought an updated bank statement from the previous month that showed our names on it, also my husband filed taxes and added my name to it as well even though I had no income to declare. But at least to show we were joint filing.
And yes. He did ask at the interview. When in doubt, just bring the papers with you even though you think you don't need them. Better to be safe.
I also brought a record of employment from my husband's work. I did this as he changed jobs and I figured they might need it as it's updated info.
Hope this helps!

It depends on the officer. I had my interview yesterday and I took my immunization records with me. That seemed to have satisfied him. As long as you file for AOS within the year of the medical exam it should be okay (again it depends on the officer) My exam expired in September 2017(filed my AOS before that.) Good luck!

Hmmm..odd. Okay. I understand where you are coming from through as most of us submitted our exams at POE.
It could be their way of saying they lost it which would not surprise me and we end up paying for that type of oversight/mistake.
Pls keep us posted on your situation. It would help everyone in the long run as to what to expect.
And best of luck to both of us! our interviews on the same month. Let's hope our officers are kind. Positive thoughts!

Do you not have a copy of the vaccination report?
I emailed my doctor's office where I took the exam and asked them about a form I needed to submit and they happily gave me a copy of the vaccines. It's worth a try to contact them if you can.
About the RFE for health exam...I'm going for my interview in May with a copy of my vaccines, and an email from my medical office saying those documents should suffice AND the section of the i-485 to fight this (haha sounds like a losing battle right?) worth a shot because medical exams are expensive and I think I shelled out enough money as it is... they practically own whatever soul I have left....
-
Would there not be a way to dispute that?
It's extremely inconsistent and it says in their OWN PRINTED instructions about the requirements.
-
I was sent an electronic copy and I have a photo copy given from the doctor.
Make sure you got all the proper sheets for immunization along with the doctor's signature on those papers (second page should be it. Mine was two pages and his signature was on the second one) -
question: found some papers but they're my vaccination documentation worksheet. is this enough to produce?
I'm not sure exactly what a DS3025 is (my exam was in Canada)
can someone pls clarify? thanks.
-
Thanks for the reply!
so that being said (while I scurry and look for the DS 3025 among the mountains of paperwork)
I just produce this document and I have no need to have this I693 filled out?worse case scenario: if I did indeed not have this DS3025 could I have go to the office where I had my examination for a copy? (and I'm sure it's not for free) ?
-
Really confused here.
So I got a letter today from USCIS asking that Form I 693 was not submitted and I will have to send one at a later date when requested.
Does this mean I have to do another exam? or just a completed form signed by a doctor?
I already had my medical exam done, documents were handed over at POE when I came in May 2017 All I have in my possession are my vaccination papers and the cd.
Any thoughts ?

So I went back home to Canada just last weekend.
Coming back to the USA, I gave them my AP document, and passport. Told them I was still waiting for my AOS outcome. Had a whole bunch of boxes with me (my 2nd half of the move) told them what was in them. Got sent to secondary.
Waited 2 hrs in line (this was at Peace Arch) (had to go washroom and they only have one there and there's a line up for that too so was doing the dance while waiting in line)
CBP looked at my documents, I gave him my Notice of Action for my AOS for further proof and to make things a little more quicker. (Plus I REALLY had to go bathroom at this time)
Told me to take a seat while he looked at the car with our boxes in it.
They called me up, filled out my document, told me every time I go into the USA I'll have to go into secondary so they can fill out the paperwork on my AP document. They also told me it normally doesn't take too long it was just a busy day at the border (we waited about 2 hrs for this whole process)
And that's it! we were done.
In a nutshell: Just make sure all your documents are in order and bring your NOA for your AOS. It's pretty seamless after that. Also be prepared for long wait times - very crucial especially if you're taking a flight.
Hope this helps!

Would it matter if my I-94 is expired?
-
Still waiting for my AP to visit my family *twiddling thumbs*
but my brother lives in San Francisco and I would love to visit him, aside from my passport what else would i need to travel within USA? just want to make sure I have all the right documents so no slip ups happen. (AOS filed already, EAD filed already still waiting for those too)thanks in advance!

May I ask how can we get NOA 1 of AOS or EAD and AP if I am going to send all application together. Do I need a few weeks to receive the NOA 1? Thank you....
If you're going to send it all together you don't need to send an NOA. They're supposed to take all those documents. I got the rejection letters due to their error so I am going to wait for my NOA and then I'll send it along with my EAD and AP as proof. Hope that helps.
-
That's odd. I thought you could file everything all at once.
I put in my AOS papers, together with the EAD and Advance Parole and they only sent back the two. They kept the AOS ones....I'm going to phone them tomorrow to see what's up. I'm confuzzled... -
Hi all!
Good news they got my AOS and that is in the works *happy dance*
now, I got back rejections for my EAD and Advance Parole because it was outdated and/or fee required. I thought you were exempt of those fees if you're filing these two along with your AOS? did they just change that recently?
(I could have sworn you didn't have to pay those and I remember reading that hence why I just sent one cheque)
Please advise and thanks!

hmm ok..
Thing is I sent it, and it got sent back (long story sighs) but I have to send it next Friday due to finances. I hope it'll be ok....

Question that's been nagging in my head.
If you send your AOS at the same day your I-94 expires is that ok? what exactly is considered overstay?
just worried and want to be able to sleep at night

What phone number exactly are you looking for?
To contact them regarding my AOS. I sent them and they received it July 5th. I've had no reply, nor text...sent them an email and no reply either...so I'd like to give them a call to see where I'm at.
-
hmmm no reply yet..and no email reply (although I think that's going to take a long time)
I'm looking around for the phone number...anyone can point me in the right direction please?

HI everyone, my package got delivered and signed by JC on 7/5, however it's been 12 days and I still haven't got any text/email receipt, nor has my check been cashed.
Seeing lots of July filers having their package delivered later than 7/5 but already got all the update, also done lots of online research, I'm almost 100% sure my package has been rejected by Lockbox at Chicago...However I haven't got returned package to my mailbox either.
The only thing I can think of that I did wrong, is that instead of writing one check for $1225 for I-485, I wrote 2 separate ones, $1140+$85. Although people told me that those 2 separate checks worked for them, I still am not confident that the person who reviewed my package liked it...
I sent an email to LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov and hopefully can hear back from them about what happened with my case...
Fingers crossed. It's a real struggle daily to see nothing change on my bank account & quiet email/phone.
They received mine on July 4th and I haven't received anything yet....I'll be emailing them too.
-
Tracked mine, they received it July 4th
Didn't receive any type of notification after that though...any thoughts on this? how long does it take until I receive word?

Hi all!
Just going over my forms with a fine toothed comb because I'm OCD that way.
The part where it says: "Assets of the principal sponsored immigrant" and it says (optional). Is there any consequences for not disclosing this? just curious. (Perhaps I'm overthinking this too much) and if you do put in an amount..this is bound to change sooner or later (especially if you've been saving up for this moment and you're spending to help out with the spouse) so what are your thoughts?
thanks!

Not really, this might help:
https://citizenpath.com/how-to-write-an-i-751-affidavit/
I do notice both of our friends letters have:
"I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the foregoing is true and correct to the best of my knowledge."
so that is a must have, and it would be great if they include their contact information (you'll never know)
Hope this helps!
