This is killing me! Nothing is happening! When I do the USCIS case tracker and scan for cases there is no movement. Is there a way to see where USCIS for each month? Like for instance, it would say 1500 EAD applicants, 159 approved, 200 rfe, etc?

I'm not sure how much the tracker information is updated. For example, I have not had any updates since receipt of documents. Yesterday we had our interview and were approved, but there is still no update. Just FYI on the accuracy of that information.

Just noticed that most applicants who got their EADs aren't with NBC. Just raised an SR since it states on the website that I could if it's beyond 75 days. Just to be sure. Anyhow, I hope so that I do get my EAD real soon. I'm just worried that I'm with NBC. :(

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm tracking that all EADs come from NBC and are not processed differently due to location. I know AOS times will differ but didn't think EAD did. Either way, Hope you a speedy process!

TIMELINE: as of FEB 15, 2018

Nov 22, 2017 - packet sent via USPS Chicago Lockbox (Concurrent Filing AOS)

Nov29 - Received via email and SMS 4 USCIS confirmation

    Nov 30 - Checks cashed

    Dec 4 - Received 4 x NOA1 via mail (PD Nov24) (NBC/MSC)

Dec 9 - Received bio appt via mail

    Dec 18 - Biometrics Sched/Done (IOWA USCIS)

Dec 28 - Courtesy letter received regarding i-693 (medical exam do not submit, submit on interview or as RFE)

Feb 13, 2018-  First SR made online

Is NBC really having delays in approving AP/EAD combos?

Any other November NBC filers who have received their EADs by now?

Seems pretty early on to be too worried about the EAD. Mine didn't update at all on the USCIS site and one day I randomly got the NOA and right behind followed the card. I'm sure you'll get it any time now! It's tough but try to be patient.

I received a similar USPS informed delivery scanned image of mail today (from Lee's Summit). Did your case status change online before or after receiving this letter? Unfortunately we both travel for work and the earliest we would be able to get the letter is Thursday. Online case status for 485 has not changed since November (when I filed). It is going to be a long week for me knowing there is a letter in the mailbox with some news.

I didn't receive any update on the case status online. The one I received initially was the notice for interview. Then, on Saturday (Feb 10) I received the notice for approval of EAD (didn't bother with AP). Our card will be received today as that was also on the informed delivery. If you see a package on informed delivery then it should be EAD/AP, if not then I would imagine it is interview notification. At least that was the case in my situation (Interview notification only letter was sent; EAD letter and package sent simultaneously). Good luck!

  5. I haven't received a text, email, and the website hasn't been updated (still shows last updated 12/06/2017), but we received NOA for interview last Wednesday (2/7) and have mail and package on USPS Informed Delivery (will receive mail today which should be NOA for EAD and package on Monday which should be card).

Mainly updated this info as other people are frustrated since they aren't getting any updates. Apparently, you might never get updates on the status.

I'm hoping you're right, but it was my understanding that the EAD is sent priority/first class mail and would show up in packages. This is a regular letter, which through me off.

I can't edit my previous post, but I just realized that the letter does say "first class". Feeling pretty good about this. Don't really care about working at this time but getting a learner's permit/driver's license will be so helpful to us right now. I will update what it is around 5:30 pm est.

  7. I see that a lot of people have gotten an update on their status. My last update is still reflecting December 6th. It can be pretty frustrating that I have nothing. As you might notice with my timeline, it took 15 days from mailing the documents to get a notice date. Is it normal to not have an update for this long? I'm assuming that my case will change from updated on December 6th to approved, eventually. No RFIE as of today and I don't expect to get one, but you never know.

Patience is a virtue...it will be my 64th day on August 10. Everyday I am praying for a negative result and not to receive a call from SLEC.

I can see you're stressed about it, but take it from me, there's no need to work up a bunch of stress when you're almost complete. No amount of stress will help out the situation. You're almost done, and I am pretty confident that most positive cases receive a call by this point.

By the way, you should make a timeline. The more information that people provide via timelines, the more information that other users can gather from viewing different profiles on here. I appreciate everybody who creates a timeline! :)

I went through the sputum culture test last June. I was scheduled to call SLEC on August 7.

Last Friday, July 21st, I received a call from SLEC telling me to call on August 10 and not on the 7th...

What could be the reason for the 3 day extension?

I couldn't give you the reason as we weren't even instructed to call in. This makes it difficult to really know everybody else's situation. We were at roughly 68 days for the repeat chest x-ray after the sputum collection, to give you my personal experience between time of collection and time of repeat medical. I am thinking they might have hit a busier time right now and that could've pushed your appointment to the right. I wouldn't think that it's anything bad, as they have often asked for you to go in early rather than later. Anyways, sorry I don't have a better answer for you and best of luck!

Hey. Congrats. Can't wait to hear the same good news for me and my fiance. You must be overjoyed with this news and relieved that she can finally move forward with the interview. Congrats again.

Thanks! Best of luck to you, as well!

  11. In order to not leave anybody hanging, my fiancée passed the medical just now. She did have to have another chest x-ray done, although I'm unsure why. Doesn't seem that anybody in this group knew if they were negative or positive and they were at SLEC from about 8 am and didn't find out until about 2:30 pm. She was given the option to wait at SLEC for immunizations, which she will do. Now we only have the interview on Thursday! Thanks to everyone for the info!

Yes there is truth in "no news is good news" regarding SPUTUM .. and the fact she is scheduled for xray and not starting DOT is another.

Still if you have been in the military you know it is never good to assUme.  Three more days of patience...

They scheduled the x-ray in May when she gave the sputum samples. Yes, I know about the military sayings... active duty lol. Thanks for the response!

I was given instructions to either call or email them but only on that specified day. I think maybe since she lives outside manila that it's better for her to communicate through email.

Please update when you get your result.

My fiancée lives in Cebu and my initial post shows their reply to her. They won't give any information through phone or email.

When I did my sputum test (just last month) and while waiting I've a guy who got a phone call from SLEC and was told to report the next day. He was not informed anything. He was waiting for the result of his sputum test too.

Okay, I'm going to assume we're good since she didn't get a call to go back early. Hoping.

After the 3 day sputum test during the pulmonary evaluation I was just given instructions when to call back to check on my culture result. I wasn't told anything about doing another chest xray. I'm also not sure what the reactivation is for. I nee to call the embassy for extension of my i-129f.

It's a little strange to me that they give people different instructions. I saw the slip that my fiancée has and there is an option to call back, but that wasn't marked for her. Thanks for the update and I'll update this post again soon.

At one time you could call SLEC and they would give you the answer but from what you are thinking and your experience, it very will does seem they have changed their policy. You're the first to indicate such a condition. I will have to let someone else give you the "official word" if there has been one.  You may want to PM Hank_ as he is very knowledgeable in this area. He is usually here responding but haven't see him in a day or so. He may be traveling back to the States from the Philippines.

Thanks, I will try that. Will update after her medical appointment on Monday.

Ok. Since I didn't know the depth of your knowledge I'll assume you know the procedure as your friend will enlighten you.

I guess I'm just trying to find if there has been an update (maybe in 2017) where they no longer call you regarding a positive test. I know that you are an expert in this stuff but hoping somebody might have a recent experience. Sorry if my post came across the wrong way or didn't make sense.

I have been flagged for the sputum test too and I'm on my 4th week. My 8th week is on the 22nd of August and every single day I'm dreading getting a phone call. It's honestly stressing me out. I hope your fiance gets a negative result. Fingers crossed. I will be following you as your fiance and I still have a long road ahead until POE. My i-129f will expire on September 9 and I most like wont get an interview before then. I read on here that after cancelling an interview schedule you have to reactivate it first. Sadly that post never got any traction and the OP never came back with update too. I will be calling the embassy about it sometime next week.

It's been just over nine weeks for us. Did you get a follow-up appointment for another chest x-ray? I'm not too sure what you're talking about with the reactivation. I canceled my original appointment for the interview and just scheduled another one. Why are you calling the Embassy?

This is very much a normal process for SLEC when it comes to the steps to a clear TB. It comes in three steps.  If you pass a step then there is no need to forward with then next.

Step 1 is the initial xray at SLEC

Step 2 is the Sputum Test

    Step 3 is DOT

Here is a link about an earlier TB discussion

I am going to assume we are good, then. It has been over 60 days and no phone call has been received. This is even if they do phone calls anymore. If you see the email in my original post from SLEC, they won't give results through phone or email. I was trying to find out if anything changed. I definitely know what the TB process is I have a personal friend who went through the six month testing process.
