Hi all,
My husband had his CR-1 interview in March, which I attended with him. He was approved the day of and was told/given a paper stating he would receive his visa in 2 weeks. It has now been almost 2 months with no visa, passport is with the US embassy as it was taken the day of. Also, the status on CEAC never changed. It remained "Ready" even after the interview, until yesterday when it turned to AP. This is the first time the status changed, the dates have changed and there has been some movement, but the status has remained the same as "Ready".
Does anyone know what this means? Is it possible his visa will go to issued soon? or did they just remember to change the status?

Hello everyone my case back to uscis after 6 months of administrative processing the congressman contact uscis and they said
From a current review of USCIS records, we are informed that a standard element of the background check process is pending completion in your constituent’s case. After the necessary clearance is received, the immigration file containing your constituent’s petition will be referred to an administrative review. Following this review, the file may be returned to a case distribution queue for assignment to an adjudications officer. Major case-specific updates are also available through the USCIS “Case Status Online” toolCan you please share more information, as what your wrote is not detailed enough for us to understand your case? did you do your interview? were you approved or not? also it would be very helpful if you updated your timeline to give everyone a better understanding of your timeline, when you applied and so fourth.

Did
Did you have to fill out a supplemental form after your interview? The ds5535?
No it was not asked of us, we were already approved and they have my husband's passport and our case status doesnt say were in AP (though it seems we are). It still says ready.

I’ve actually called before when I was in Egypt and told the operator to connect me to the consul himself and he did and I spoke with him directly. You could try that and maybe it’ll help.
yeah I called many times but they said they only answer through emails for immigrant cases maybe because you applied for your fiance and it is non immigrant you were able to get a response.

Oh wow that’s so long I’m sorry you’re going through that. I’m anxiously waiting for our passports return and this Wednesday will be 2 weeks exactly and I’m panicking because it seems there still is potential to be sucked into the black hole of not knowing anything. I emailed them as well regarding why my case status still says ready and they sent me this strange form that I should fill out with my fiancé’s name and info but it seemed off and I wonder if they just sent a generic reply rather than look at my actual case. Have you tried calling it might be better to get someone on the phone
they do not answer any case information over the phone. plus there is no direct way of calling IV, just email.

So you’ve already had your visa interview and been told it’s approved but nothing was returned to you via aramex until now? Omg that’s more than a month! Have you tried calling or emailing them?
Yes we had the interview and were approved. I emailed them twice and both times got the same response that the case was with the officer and they will let us know their decision after he completes his review.

Did you end up receiving the visa and passport? I’m curious because I’m post interview as well with ceac status still showing ready.
Noooo 😭😭😭 we have been “ready” since the interview on March 21st, we don’t know what to do! I am pregnant and do not want to go back to the states without my husband.

Anyone still on AP or waiting for their visa? My husband was approved on March 21st but we have not received the visa yet. The ceac tracker still says ready and when we emailed the embassy they said that the CO is still reviewing our case and once he finishes his procedures they will process case to conclusion. I have no idea what that means 😭😭

My husband had the interview in the Embassy of the United States In Cairo on February 18,2019. The officer checked everything and he told my husband that he needs to upload the joint sponsor form I864 and the tax transcript including the proof of citizenship on the ceac website. At the interview they took his passport, birth certificate, 2passport pictures, took marriage certificate and medical. He did the oath. They didn’t say approved though. I checked case tracker and it says ap. Today, my lawyer submitted everything on the website. How long until the consulate reviews my documents and issue my visa? Also does the embassy check the documents as soon as I submit them? Thank you so much
did you ever get your visa?

Help!!! Our CEAC status still
says “ready” over two weeks after my husband’s interview. I emailed them twice. Has this happened anyone else??? I saw someone else here interviewed the same day as my husband and got their visa 5 days later. Why is this happening 😭

Months? OMG wow I did not realize that. I was thinking days maybe weeks.
Yes sadly AP is unpredictable. But be optimistic that if your case is approved it will be within a few days to 2 weeks.

after the interview if approved it will go to AP, and then back to Ready, and then Issued.
I would send an email to Cairo and check the status.
did you get any kind of paper back at interview??
I did and this is what they said...
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your email.
Please note that the file with the officer for his review, once we finish our procedures, we will process the case to conclusion.
it still says ready....and now it has been 12 days post interview...

Hello, I realize that everyone maybe different, but once you get an approval at your interview what is the time frame when you have everything and can actually travel??
There is no telling it all depends on how long it takes for them process your visa and whether or not your AP takes longer. It can take 2 days and it can take months....it’s all relevant to your case and your embassy.

No its not normal.
Contact the embassy.
It might be a mistake from their end.
I sent an email today, so what is the status supposed to say while waiting for the visa to be issued?
-
Follow up question, is it normal for CEAC status to still say READY 11 days after the interview and after being approved verbally at the embassy? we still havent received the visa/passport.

Thats very unfortunate dear.
But Check the dates below ‘Ready’ on the CEAC and see when last it was updated.
it was last updated on march 25th, 4 days after his interview but still says ready. is it supposed to say anything else? and why is it unfortunate if the paper says it says 2 weeks?

I am surprised CEAC didn't update the day of the interview
did you attend with your husband?
a friend who went through her interview for Cairo got updated the same day 2 days after approval it was issued.
yes I did, and he was approved. the officer was very nice, he barely asked any questions. it seems like he had already made the decision before the interview itself. and trust me we were OVER prepared with evidence and documents, much more than what was asked of us. but now its been a week and it still says ready. i dont know what that means.

Finally I got a notification via my USCIS account that was case was approved.😁 How long does it usually take to receive the notice via mail?
you should receive it within a week or two at most.
-
please keep us updated when your visa is issued and if you see any changes on CEAC. My husband was approved one week ago and it still says READY. I am getting anxious that it has not been issued yet.
-
honestly our case was approved over 8 months after we applied so i think you are still in the safe zone, dont get too anxious. Hopefully it is just a matter of time.

Hi all,
My husband's CR1 application was approved one week ago and it still says "READY". I am getting nervous that the visa not been issued yet, since i saw the last 5 to 6 cases out of Cairo got their visa after 2 working days. Is there a possibility we are or going to be on AP?
