If they continue to work at the rate that they have been over the past couple of days (and if they worked systematically in date order!!) they could process all the cases up to 14th November by Valentines Day! I can hardly believe this cheers me up - when we submitted, I thought we'd have our approval by mid-December. I know i'm in the lucky bunch - at least I have mine six weeks later then anticipated. But it was only when I chilled out and stopped worrying so much and gave in to not being able to do anything about it that I got so lucky -which made it double the surprise.
Aaron, for alll his chilled out and understated excitement about our NOA2, sends everyone here some zen vibes for those still waiting. If I could sprinkle a little of his calm 'que sera sera' across the forum I would. It is moving folks. II really feel for the October filers - sending all the vibes i can that whoever's desk those files are on comes back from their toilet break/holiday/wall-building and gets cracking!
Hang on in there. It's still a better situation than it was a month or two months ago. Oh - I wonder if we have some way to track when the final forum member gets their NOA2? That will be the day to crack open the bubbly stuff! And the day the first visa is issued!
Sending good vibes and looking forward to the updates from those who don't know yet that they got approved today!

Hey everyone! I got my text at 7:30 PST today. We are APPROVED!!! Wow can't believe the day has come.
Wasn't paying attention to my phone until I was getting ready to turn in. Yup. Looks like we are making more progress! But why haven't some of you before me gotten some notice yet? Here's to more approvals tomorrow! Good Luck!

Hi DianaLucena,
I hear your concern and know that this is troubling news. There is no way to tell at this time what exactly will happen, however, I doubt that your visa petition will get flat out denied because of this news. My understanding is that the decision of whether or not the beneficiary is admitted gets made at the Port of Entry (POE) point not at the Embassy level where your interview is. It is also possible that it may cause a delay to processing those petitions from these countries, but that still remains to be seen. Like I said, I doubt it will result in a denial. Perhaps this is all symantics (delay vs. denial) but hang in there and don't lose hope. Trust in the process and be vigilant in verifying they are doing their job. That said, there are things you can do, like make phone calls to your congressman/woman, or even getting a lawyer. These are choices you will need to look into and decide whether it is worth doing.

Believe the DS-160 is for the beneficiary to fill out. I think once it is filled out you can schedule an interview for your consulate but will need medical exam also to bring to consulate also. Had your case been received by the NVC yet? I saw upthread where you were trying to call them.

That mean so much to me.
I've grown to 98% acceptance that the USCIS won't even give me an RFE or NOA2 until the spring or summer or even later. But I keep checking the app at least 4 times a day and read over ever new post on here every few hours. I can't even get a full night's sleep. Most of the people in the October thread are at the point where they are getting their interviews and visas, which is good. But it is still frustrating. However, realistically I'm only a few weeks behind most oh youall.
Jim has done so much work on here for everyone else. But I'm sure his approval or RFE is just around the corner. He is still very much in the USCIS window.

Congratulations to all those who received approvals so far! Hoping for a speedy path from here to visa approvals!
Waiting for an update on my case is starting to cause anxiety. On top of that, my fiance will be going through (what I presume) an ugly custody battle with his son's Mom. I think it's starting to get the best of us, and our relationship. BUT, we are together for a reason, and we've toughed it out so far! I know my complaints are so trivial compared to what other couples have endured (going a lot longer without seeing your S.O., political/financial strife), but I just hope we get a glimmer of hope this week - a touch or something! I pray to you, Thor (lol).
Here's to a better week for us that are still waiting!

Congratulations to all of you who got their NOA2! The first stage is over and now things start moving much faster. Very happy for you guys.
But what would fill my heart with eternal joy and happiness is to see Nowrya and JimJesDuma getting their approvals this week. They've been waiting for so long... Thinking of you every day, guys.

These stats are generated by what VJ members update on their own cases. So - if yesterday some random case from December 2nd was approved then the VJ stats seem to say that that is the date which is currently being processed. It seems to go for the most recent date as opposed to the most common date. So even though there might have been 30 approvals for November 1st, if there is ONE approval for December 2nd, that's what it guesses is the current processing date. Geowrian's reports are far more accurate in terms of giving you an idea of how many cases are being processed, which dates are currently being processed and therefore - with a few simple sums, you can guesstimate your own approval date. The VJ stats are way off.
I have had estimated dates about 20 times since I signed up - and each time I reach the estimated date it moves to another few days ahead. The funny thing was this week, it had already moved to next weekend (though I was estimating around Valentine's Day) and there a random bunch of cases received on November 9th were approved yesterday - and mine was one of them!
However, there are still far too many people with recieved dates of October 28th and 31st still waiting (and some from even further back) so any estimate is still very vague and can probably be up to a month either way. The VJ stats aren't terribly helpful unless everyone keeps their timeline updated and the updates aren't thrown out by random cases getting ahead of the batch. The details that state that K1 cases from December are currently being processed only serve to make anyone with an earlier case panic that their case has been missed or lost or has a problem. It's more likely that it is sitting at the bottom of a stack of boxes that have had more recent boxes piled on top. When I decided to relax and only panic if it got to late March... then I got surprised!
Celebrating with a cup of tea. The bubbles will have to wait until he comes to visit again in May.
Put the kettle on, read @geowrian 's updates each day. That helps enormously!

Thank you
You'll be pleased to know I'm not going anywhere. This forum has been invaluable in keeping me sane over the past two months - and I'm quite sure there will still be more moments that i'll be needing that!
Also I want to make sure everyone else gets their NOA2s - especially those who filed at the end of October. there'll be some celebration when Jim's NOA2 comes through. I have made some friends here and I am rooting for everyone else's visas now. I was so delighted when I woke up, and through my early morning fuzzy eyes, scrolled through the posts in my inbox to read the forum updates this morning - lookinng for geowrian's report and saw how many cases were handled yesterday. I blinked hard - I never trust what I think my eyes are telling me for the first hour after I wake up. I thought to myself - that's great, we might hear something before Valentine's Day if they keep going at that rate...
And when my phone buzzed I was catching up with posts on here, working my way towards the big screen version of the stats on my pc, - easier to trust than the tiny font on my phone-and looking forwarrd to seeing how those stats broke down (I am such a nerd sometimes) - but before I could get to geowrian's post - BZZZZZZZZZZ!
I sighed thinking it was more chat about my friends 40th birthday this week - or a message from the office. So you can imagine my surprise!
Hurray! I won't feel awkward this weekend wondering if I should tell people who have booked their flights that I might not actually be able to make it to my own wedding
Right - now you lot - it's your turn!

Ok this has been discussed on other places here on the forum in the years past but I haven't seen it come up in this thread.
Any one here who would be brave enough to do a reality TV show?
Not me....LOL
I'm out haha
I know a lot of it is staged or guided reality but still it is mildly entertaining but sometimes down right horrifying on the other hand $$$ to those who end up on the show.

Good catch! I removed the 100 dupes from the master list so they won't be scanned twice in the future. I added the next 100 from the "overflow" to that to make a clean 5000 again. I also checked for dupes in the overflow first. Sorry about that...when I did my initial 58,000 scan, it got interrupted twice and I tried to restart it where it left off, but apparently I went back too far. That does cut down on approvals, but it also decreased the number of unworked applications by even more.
Edit: A quick check...we lost 1 approval (not from today), 1 RFE (not from today), and 74 unworked cases (total) by removing the dupes. I would call that a net gain.

The 5000 number is because that's when the IP ban kicks in. I could do more, but I'd have to cycle IP addresses, combine files, wait another hour to run, yada yada.
That said, my data is only for I-129Fs. It covers Oct. 31st to ~Dec. 7th. I don't scan them sequentially because I previously did that and extracted only the I-129Fs from that data set. The last WAC on my list of 5000 is 105181...way above 53000.

forena99 reacted to ali1632 in I-129F November 2016 Filers
You are right, the limit is 5000 per search. So it took a lot of time to run enough searches of the whole database to compile 5000 k-1's from the huge numbers of other petitions. He mentioned that he's working on batching the next 5000 numbers but it is slow going.
I also noticed in getting familiar with this data today that there are about 100 duplicates in this batch, at least one of which was counted as an approval twice (on 1/3/17). At least we won't run out of fun while we are waiting! Sorry, geowrian.. Regardless, your help is invaluable!
