I just wanted to provide an update to everyone.
On October 22, I contacted my congressmen regarding the subject of the email. He explained that he didn't think twice about it because he has seen it much; it's a phrase used as a "catch-all" when further investigation is needed. He advised not to worry until it's time to worry.
On October 25 at 7:25 am, my doorbell rang. I opened the door to a gentleman and young lady from the USCIS. They were polite and friendly. But the questions started as soon as they entered. First, my name, and if I could get my license. Do I have any children (I'm expecting)? Does my husband have any children? Where do I work? I asked if I should get my husband. They said, "oh, is he here?"
I went upstairs to wake him and to check a few emails from work. Thankfully, I worked from home that day and my husband was off. He went downstairs alone and was asked a few questions. When I returned downstairs the gentleman asked if we could go upstairs. We all stood in each room briefly; they looked around, no photos were taken, and they didn't go through our things. He actually made a joke that he takes up the majority of the closet space in his home.
I asked him what would be the next steps. He advised, he would complete the report on Friday (tomorrow) and our case would go back in the queue. I asked if everything was okay? He said everything is fine. If we didn't hear anything within six months to make an info pass appointment. The home visit was a total of 20 minutes.
Once they left I asked my husband what did they ask him. He said, his name, when did he enter the country, and if he knew his social. They asked for his ID and social security card. Where was he formerly employed? Where was the job located? Does he have children? Does he have a preference on the sex of the baby?
As mentioned in your response and based on the questions, it seems as if his name may have been similar to someone else. This home visit was very relaxed, too relaxed..
However, I'm happy to report, I checked our case status today and he was approved!!!!🎉

1. I would call and ask if she can give you more information
2. I would start looking for an experienced attorney, although hiring one now would be premature in my opinion. If and when I received the denial letter, I would certainly hire someone....
To be honest, something sounds amiss here. For what you posted, you seem to have a simple case.
I agree. We wondered if the CO was new. She initially told us we needed the I-693 and to return it the same day. I returned to the office to let her know that the exam has two parts and I could return it next week. I was unable to see her because I didn't have an appointment. The security guard relayed the message. He came back and told me she said, "Oh, I may not need it after all." 🤤 Then why did you give me a letter requesting the information???
My only other thought was is it because he is from Nigeria?

Hello,
Our joint tax return, checking and savings account, health insurance documents, utilities, and life insurance beneficiary documents.

Hi, everyone!
I would like a little feedback on our next steps.
- We met online in July 2016
- I traveled to Nigeria in October of 2016.
I stayed for two weeks met his family and got engaged.
- November 2016 filed I-129F
- I-129F approved in February
- April 2017 my fiance traveled to the US
- May 2017 we were married
-July 2017 we filed for AOS
- AOS interview June 2018 (new office in Nashville, TN)At the interview, the CO didn't ask us for anything but our tax return. Of course, I gave her everything I could. She requested we complete a new medical even though our documents were still valid. He was given a letter permitting him to return the verification the same day.
We returned the medical the following week but hadn't heard anything. A few weeks later my husband had an info pass appointment. He was told they are still processing but the CO did receive the new medical.
I contacted my congressmen in August. He reached out and was given the same answer, to give it time.
On yesterday we received a letter from our congressmen stating our case is pending review. However, he also included an email from the Nashville USCIS representative. The subject line states: "Fraud_Case under Review-Possible Fraud."
The email includes her name and telephone number. Should I contact her? Should we hire an attorney?
I have included a screenshot of the letter from the representative.
Thanks for your help.

same here , I received biometrics appointment today for EAD . And it's different schedule.
I asked the receptionist why we received two letters, she said because they are separate applications.

Hi everyone! We filed our AOS, AP and EAD 07.06.17.
We received two biometric appointment letters.
I-765-08.08.17
I-485-08.18.17
I called the number on the notice and was advised to take both letters to the first appointment. I did a little research and found out you can walk-in for an appointment. My husband completed the biometrics for both applications yesterday.
Good luck!

Welcome aboard J & T. Yes you are a November filer. I think that most go off of the NOA1 priority date. My filing date is the same as yours. Keep us updated on your status as you go through the process, it helps us all to see where other similar filers are.
I lived in music city for 3 years! Miss it sometimes.
Good luck on your journey!
Thank you, will do!

Hello everyone! I sent my I-129F petition 10.31.16. I would be considered a November filer, right?

Thank you for your help!

Hello everyone, I am new to Visa Journey. I have come across many posts stating a scanned Letter of Intent and G-325a are acceptable for the beneficiary. Is this also permitted for three I-134 (Affidavit of Support)? My fiancė lives in Nigeria. I have been advised not to use USPS, and FedEx cannot provide a date as to when the documents would be delivered.
Any suggestions?
