  1. I don't think you can speed up the process unless you have a special situation - minors aren't a special situation. I filed for my two sons, 9 and 11, in Sept 2022 and we've just gotten to the NVC approvals and waiting for the interview times.
  2. I am bringing my two sons, aged 8 and 10 from Philippines to the US. I submitted everything to NVC, last week, then got this last night: The National Visa Center (NVC) updated the status of your immigrant visa application. Please go to the Department of State's Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) at https://ceac.state.gov/IV. You will need your NVC case number and invoice ID number to log into your account. Once you have logged into CEAC, please look in your message box or on the Status Chart at the bottom of the page. If NVC has feedback on any items you submitted, there will be a new message with details. If not, please simply follow the updated instructions on your Status Chart to complete your case. If any column says "Pay Now", "Invalid Doc", "Incomplete", or "Re-Opened", that means you must take action by paying a fee, submitting a form, or uploading a corrected/missing document. Regards, National Visa Center, U.S. Department of State https://nvc.state.gov/ask However, after logging in, I see no changes or messages in the case. I've looked multiple times. Anyone have an idea why this is?
  3. We just got ours, like last week. Once the documents show up, it was just a couple days time. I just finished submitting the NVC documents, yesterday.
  4. I am USC who is petitioning sons, who are in Philippines, aged 8 and 10. My USC parents, who I live with will be sponsoring. I think I should file I864A, so I'm just checking. Thank you!
  5. Hello, I an uploaded my tax return info, last paycheck stubs, and same with my co-sponsors. What is the additional AOS Supporting documents I will need for the Philippines? I've tried looking online and in this forum, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Thank you! I am at the NVC stage for my sons, who are 8 and 10 years old.
  6. Yes, I've updated with NVC. Thank you for clearing things up for me.
  7. I filed I-130's for each of my two sons, who are 8 and 10. I filed while I was a Permanent Resident, then I became a citizen. I think it's an an F2A. I'm not sure. The reason for the length of time is because their father decided he didn't want to come, and I had to start over, and file for them seperately because they were derivatives of his visa. I'm just not sure if there is something I need to do about my sons citizenship. I'm trying not to make any mistakes, it's taken me a long time to get this close.
  8. We finally got approved on Thurday February 15th at the USCIS. I am a US citizen. I assume when my children arrive they will be too. My question is, will they need a green card and what is the procedure? Thank you!
  9. That was fast, look what I received this morning: To Whom it Concerns: The National Visa Center (NVC) recently received your immigrant visa petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your petition is now waiting for data entry into our systems. Since your case is not in our systems yet, we cannot make updates. As soon as your case is in our systems, we will send a Welcome Letter and instructions. Then, if you still need help updating your case, you can contact us by using one of the methods listed on https://nvc.state.gov/ask. For current processing times, please visit our website: https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes for English or https://nvc.state.gov/plazos for Spanish. If your petition was approved before the dates NVC is working on, please resubmit your inquiry. You can also begin to familiarize yourself with the documents NVC will request at that site. 11. I became a citizen on November 4, 2022. I filed my sons I130's on Septmeber 2022. I've called, sent emails, and written letters about updating my citizenship. Now, after waiting and thinking they've updated my citizenship, they're telling me they sent my petitions to Texas. Can someone please tell me the best way to handle updating my citizenship? Thank you!
  12. Yes, they're 8 and 10. No it was California, but I got a letter in November saying they were being transferred to Texas.
  13. I contacted our Congressman, David Joyce and his assistant, Ryan Kelly. contacted me the next morning to let me know, he sent a message to USCIS. He said it might take 30 days to hera from them, but he sent them a message.
  14. I'm a citizen, I filed for my two underage sons on September 18th 2022. Haven't heard anything except they're working on case and it's taking longer than expected. Last week I supposedly had 1 week remaining until decision and it went back to "taking longer than expected. Good luck!

  17. Hello, I had a petition filed for my filipino husband, but he decided he didn't want to immigrate to US, so I withdrew it. Also, he has another woman and a new baby. I am a Philippine immigrant, now a US citizen. Can anyone give me a liilte guidance on, if I can divorce him without going back to the Philippines? I was looking at some online divorces, but they seem too good to be true. Thank you, so much!
