Does it just say "ready to be scheduled for interview" or something else? Ready to be scheduled for interview is a little different than having an interview scheduled - it just means all the other boxes have been ticked and the next step is an interview, which you've been put in line for. I'm not sure if USCIS is actually scheduling interviews at the moment for ROC cases.

Why don't you think USCIS schedule interviews at the moment?

Congrats to everyone who's seen movement on their case, and solidarity to those of us still waiting!

I'm curious for those of you who were planning to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule and who have seen case numbers close to yours have movement, are you planning to apply as soon as the window opens, or wait until your I-751 is approved?  My husband is eligible to apply for citizenship on September 15, and when we first applied for I-751 we expected to be waiting well over a year, so we were just planning to apply as soon as the window opened.  But now that a lot of case numbers near ours are getting approved, I'm wondering if we don't hear back by September 15 if we should wait just a little bit in case we get the approval somewhat soon?  I don't think our local office (Hartford, CT) is known for slowing down both processes when you apply for N-400 with I-751 still pending, but it does seem like it might be simpler/neater to apply for citizenship once the I-751 is approved.  If when September rolls around it seems like a lot of cases near ours are getting approved, maybe we could wait a month or two just in case?

    Anyone having similar thoughts?

    Hey,

    That is my plan too.

Someone told me of someone that got her citizenship while waiting on her I-751 to be approved (I don't know how true the story is)

Hi Everyone - I also received an update on USCIS saying I have been scheduled for interview as of June 3, 2020 and I should receive a notice in the post soon...

Anyone got any info on how long it takes to receive the interview notice?

Any tips on what I should prepare for the interview? I guess they will let me know in the letter anything that we need to bring with us?

I'm glad lots of cases are moving forward again :) Felt like I was stuck in that "biometrics received" phase forever!!

congratulations. Are you scheduled for July 3 or you got your update on June 3?

I am still waiting on mine?

Hi, did you receive your card in mail already? If you did, did you case ever changed to “card was mailed to me” or “ postal service pick up your card” before your card was delivered? Thank you.

    Good questions!

Something inside of me is already rejoicing there could be a miracle.

My last update was I should get ready for an interview. I just don't want to wait anymore.

     Congratulations! It’s so fast , isn’t??

I got my NOA about 3 weeks ago , and I see USPS notifications about another letter from immigr. It must be biometrics!! 😻😉

I wonder why some people like us get it so fast , and others need to wait months ?

I swear I felt that way too. I got my NOA, 3 days after I sent my documents and a week after the first NOA I got my biometrics appointment letter.

I just wish it could be really fast to get the whole process done.

Good luck with the ROC process!

Re: SSN phone calls, I received 5 of them within 2 hours; it was from 5 different 1-800 numbers. They're relentless. By the second call I get quite nervous because 'what if...' Especially this happened soon after I mailed a detailed form and private informations to the government. But I did some reading online and found the following articles:

    1. from Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/07/08/no-thats-not-government-calling-threatening-suspend-your-social-security-number/

    2. and from the Federal Trade Commissionon: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2018/12/what-social-security-scam-sounds

    Good luck everyone.

I have been getting  those calls since last year, still do. I don't pick unknown calls, but scammer(s) leaves voice mail too lol

Received our biometrics appointment letter today!  The notice was dated 10/4 but we didn't receive it until 10/15, and the appointment is for 10/24...not very much notice at all!  The ASC is over an hour away and the appointment is for 11 AM (inconvenient to leave work in the middle of the day for us, early morning or later afternoon would be more convenient), so we're both very lucky that we can afford to take time off work to go.  Very aware how lucky we are and how many people don't have that flexibility.

Excited to see that things are moving along, at least, although we anticipate a long wait between completing biometrics and hearing back about the interview/approval!

    Congratulations.

Wow my husband's GC also expires 12/14 and it looks like we had our interviews on the same day, 12/14/2017, so we're literally on an identical timeline!  Your evidence looks great, good luck :)

Just to make sure you're calculating the window correctly: Look at the day the GC expires and subtract 90 days, that's when the window opens.  So if the GC expires January 7, 2020, the window should open on October 8, 2019.  You can also use this calculator here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

Don't apply before the window opens, as they might reject your submission and you'll have to resend it.  Everything should be dated for the day on/after the window opens, even if you fill it out before the window officially opens.  For example, my husband's GC expired 12/14/2019, so our window opened 9/15/2019 (yesterday).  We've been preparing for about a month but when we signed and dated things like I-751 and the cover letter, we dated everything 9/15/2019.  We mailed everything today (yesterday was a Sunday and we were using USPS so no post on Sundays!)  We thought about mailing everything on the 14th (Saturday) but decided not to risk having it sent back.

    Hope this helps!

Yes, it has been so informative and helpful. Thank you once again and good luck.
