It was right in the first line of our timeline.. Thats crazy we checked multiple times very carefully before we sent our packet and last week when I was reading our packet again I figured out the mistake. Our first time talking was Jan 17th, 2015 but we said we talked in Jun 27th, 2015... T_T . And then We submitted a proof that we first talked in Jan 17th... :bonk:

I wouldn't worry - it's a simple mistake and one number difference - I think they can see how the mistake could have been made.  I have just filled in my ds-160 and filled in my divorce date as 2001 instead of 2003   they should have the copy of my divorce certifcate and thw correct date is on my i-129F so I expect this will come up at interview.  I'm not sure if it was a typo on my part or if i misread my certificate when filling in my ds-160 (the 3 is not very curvy on my certificate and is handwritten - it could look like a wobbly '1').

I wouldn't worry - it is ten days difference. And quite clearly a possible slip whilst typing.

Ok, cool (sort of).  Thanks for the info.  I think I just missed the boat on checking the case tracker.  Didn't get the link until yesterday after all was said and done.  My case said, 'Ready', yesterday.  And DHL says package shipped yesterday too.

Thanks again and good luck!  Have a feeling yours will happen way before mine, haha!  I'm ok with that though.

    Cheers,

    Forena99

I probably won't be heading to interview now until late April - as I am taking a trip in mid-April and will need my passport and can't risk it being tied up at the Embassy.

I replied to one of your earlier posts before I saw this one - so you can ignore my post about the update.  I think 'Ready' means that your case has arrived at the embassy/consulate - perhaps the dhl package you are tracking is for cases after yours?  I tried to track what I thought was my package - and then my status changed to ready - indictaing that it had already arrived in London - and that the NVC case tracker was maybe a little late in being updated.

I can't move until the beginning of July - but keen to start packing and getting my life here tidied up - don't really want to do that until the visa has been approved so was hoping to have the interview soon.  I can't risk having it after 22nd March and being without my passport so will wait another month now I think...

    Thanks @NAT2016,

the link only shows the date the case was created and updated.

But the VJ timeline asks for date for case received and date for case sent to consulate.  Neither of which are on that link you gave me.

I'm just not sure how we are supposed to know unless we call.

    Forena99

the status changes when the case is sent to the embassy - and when it arrives.

    Hi Chellyandaaron,

I got my NOA2 approval same day as you (1/30/17).

I got my NVC notice yesterday in the mail (2/21/17).

How do you know when the NVC case was received and when the case was sent out to the Consulate?

The letter I got did not have any dates like that on it.

I'm trying to finish my DS-160 in order to get my interview date.  Whenever I called the NVC I was basically hung up on.  Got no info by calling.  Just hoping to get my interview date ASAP.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Curious to see how fast things go in UK vs Cuba, lol.

    Forena99

    Hey Forena,

We called NVC last week on Tuesday morning and our case had not been received - we called again on Thursday and they were able to give us our case number.  From there I tracked the case number on ceac case tracker.  It showed as 'at NVC' until yesterday when it changed to 'in transit' and then today it changed to 'ready'.  I guess that NVC must have received our case on Tuesday or Wednesday of last week (probably Tuesday after we called) and assigned the number on Wednesday as they were able to give us the case number on Thursday morning.  No cases were sent on Friday (I checked the DHL tracker) or on Monday (Presidents Day) but my case has been updated in London today and the last packages to leave the NVC for London were assigned tracking on Thursday for despatch.  So this must be when my case left NVC.  Although our case must have been despatched on Thursday it didn't get updated at NVC with the 'in transit' status until yesterday which is when our case arrived according to the dhl tracker.

As I had my case number and knew that the case was now in London, I 'signed' my DS-160 and filed that today (although it doesn't need your NVC case number it asks for your receipt # -WAC -  for your petition).  I then tried to arrange my visa interview but after getting into the site to book an interview it said 'case not yet ready for interview' and highlighted my case number - so I guess I have to wait for my letter from the Consulate.

    Next question:

do I need to wait for the NVC letter/email to reach Aaron before I can schedule my interview?  My case is now in London.  When I sign in to the interview appointments it asks if I have received the letter from NVC or the consulate (which I haven't yet) and then tells me to go away if I click no...

Update - I registered on the visa interview site but after entering the case number, it came up with a message to say that the case was not ready yet and that I need to wait for the letter from the embassy - so that answered that question for me!  I was really hoping to get an interview between the 15th and 22nd March as otherwise I'll have to wait another month (I am going away over Easter and need my passport)

Just curious ... why did you add your kids when they don't plan to come with you?

Beacuse it asked on my form if I had children - not if they were coming with me.  Elsewhere on the forum it had been suggested that if you have children you include them on the i-129F but indicate on the ds-160 that they are not accompanying you.

I guess this covers everything in the event that they apply to emigrate at a later date.

Thank you so much! Calming my neuroses here, lol. My fiancée scheduled her medical for March 6th, same as you - though she may reschedule it by the middle of next week if neither of us has gotten anything from the NVC or embassy, which I think is likely. Crazy, it seems. We are all in the final stretch now. (Putting I-485 etc out of my brain for now.)

Update: By the time NVC showed 'at NVC' I have just discovered it was in transit to London!  By the time it showed 'in transit' it had already arrived in London!

My case now shows as 'ready'

  9. Just now, fishe23a said:

She scheduled hers for 1.10 in the afternoon - so she will be there a little earlier than you but right around the same time! Might help to calm each other's nerves. :D

    That would be great!

  10. Completely confused!

so yesterday I told you that my case changed to 'In Transit' yesterday from 'at NVC' for the previous five days.

I thought I'd check it - and now it shows as 'Ready' !

So - did the ceac not update the case number and it was actually sent to London last week?

Also - it shows three case numbers now - I am assuming that as my children's details are on the i-129f they have each been assigned a case number? It is the same case number but with (1), (2) and (3) after it. (Although they won't be coming with me - they will be 18 and 20 when I leave)

What time is her medical?  I think I am 2.30 in the afternoon.  Others have said not to worry if you don't have the letter/email - that it should be okay if you tell them that the case number was issued over the phone.

It would be so cool if your fiance was there at the same time - might help to calm my nerves a little!

@Chelleyandaaron - how soon after receiving the NVC number were you able to track its status on the CEAC website, in the end? I remember you posting that the day following, it wasn't in their tracking system yet (and of course I'm running into the same thing).

I think it was the day after the day after - I think the case number was assigned on Wednesday last week and it didn't show on ceac until Friday

I went to get my medical summary records from my local doctor yesterday and they said it's going to take 3-4 weeks to get them. My medical is booked for next Friday!! I'm going to beg them for it today.. so just a heads up to others going to their medical soon - GET YOUR RECORDS EARLY! :(

I would ask your doctor just to give any information relating to a yes for any of these questions:

Have you ever been hospitalized (including psychiatric admission)?
Have you been investigated or treated for any major illnesses?
Have you ever had any kidney or liver disease?
Have you ever had any mental disorder or depression?
    Have you ever used drugs?
Have you ever had an addiction to or abused
    alcohol?
Have you had any form of treatment or investigations for alcohol
    or drug abuse?
Have you ever caused deliberate injury to yourself or others?
Have you ever been arrested, convicted or received a warning for
    any drug or alcohol
    offense (including driving)?
Do you take any medication? (Please list all medications on a
    separate sheet)
    Are you pregnant?

    The US Embassy site states:

At the time you attend the medical examination, you will be required to provide the following:

    • Photo identification (e.g. driving licence, passport);
    • 4 photographs which meet Department of State requirements;
    • For applicants aged 16 and over, a UK police certificate (known as an ACRO) issued within the past 6 months;
    • Vaccination records, which can be obtained from your regular healthcare provider. If you are unable to obtain your vaccination record, you should consult with the panel physician at the time of your appointment.  The vaccination chart is available here, as a PDF (187Kb);
    • Completed medical questionnaire, which can be downloaded here, as a PDF (680Kb).

I think that Knightsbridge request the summary to avoid any further requests for information from your Doctor in the event that anything shows up - or if you have identified a previous or ongoing illness on your questionnaire.  If you know that there will be an issue then ask your doctor just to summarise the details and attach any related reports.  Knightsbridge is requesting this information to save time.  I will be taking information regarding the issues that I know will require further information.

I am only requesting my vaccination records and a letter from my doctor regarding the one thing I have to tick a yes box for on the questionnaire.  I have read lots of other posts and I don't think that it is necessary to have more than that - either a letter from your doctor to say that you have no serious/communicable conditions, providing outline of any major surgery or details of anything which could prompt a request fro further information.  the letter from Knightsbridge said just a summary of those things I think - not your complete medical history.  I am going to see the doctor on Monday to request the letter regarding my one 'flag' - and just take that and my vaccination records. (my medical is the following Monday).

I received a letter from NVC about two weeks after they issued the embassy number.

Thank you - then we should have it a few days before my medical.  Now that my case is in transit to the Embassy I feel a bit better about going ahead and filing my ds-160 and booking my interview!  I was a bit concerned about not having any hard copy evidence of my case number for the medical.

I am from Nov 3rd too. We are still waiting as well, haven't heard anything besides NOA1.

I wonder if they keep the more "difficult" cases for last, both my fiancee and I were married at one point. Is your case similar at all?

We were both a second marriage too - but that didn't seem to hold us up.  I think it is just that random "we're working on November now - all different bits of it" luck of the draw as to whether your case is in the right pile.

    Looking for assistance lol!

since coming back in January from being with my fiancé, I have been screen shotting factime call logs, FaceTime screenshots and then screen shotting our iMessages.

question is the iMessages is there away to show the date cause I at times have them saying "Thursday 2pm" and I'm getting anxious that they could say that could be any Thursday :/

im assuming just a few of these examples for every couple of weeks or for every month will be enough for proof of ongoing?

Thanks in advance just want to start printing off some now instead of a mass near the end :)

also any advice on the best way to lay the evidence out?

Is this evidence for your interview?

If so, I don't think you need as much documentation for this as you did for the i-129F.  A couple of emails, records of facetime calls or skype.  If you facetime scroll back through the records to calls a week ago - they'll have the date on the call record rather than just 'Thursday'

And any emails will also be date stamped.  I hadn't really even thought about this - I think I had just thought I'd print off a couple of screenshots of call records and my valentine's card

there are lots of posts about the london embassy that say people have taken bundles of evidence - photos, call logs etc.. and never been asked for them.  It's a good idea to have some - but don't worry too much about how 'evidential' it is.  I think one email or screenshot of a message that says 'good luck with your interview honey' or 'how did your medical go sweetheart?' will probably be enough

Im in County Down, are you from Belfast? :o

Yes I also had read a few horror stories regarding the medical and was quite anxious on the flight over this morning. However, like I said it was very simple and relaxed, the staff really were lovely. Spent my free time after words looking around Buckingham Palace before heading home :)

Yes, I'm in South East Belfast - we could be near neighbours :)

I am so glad the staff were nice - I am fretting as my medical is two weeks today.  Your post has settled a few of those nerves.

Hi Guys, Just thought i would update...

Today I had my medical in London, I flew there and back today from Belfast and got to Knightsbridge an hour early. They said they could see me then, asked me to provide a urine sample and to complete a Yes or No medical questionnaire, i.e. mental health, smoking etc. I then saw the first doctor for my physical, checked the questionnaire, my height & weight, checked eyes, ears etc and my abdomen area then took a blood sample. I waited a bit then saw the second doctor for my chest xray, asked to remove all upper clothing and put on a gown for a basic chest xray. Lastly, i spoke with a nurse briefly regarding my vaccines and she confirmed i have everything up to date and did not require anything further.

Overall, the staff were lovely, it took around 1 hour or so. Honestly nothing to be worried about :)

Thank you so much for the update!  Are you in Belfast?  Maybe we should meet for a coffee? :)

This has helped me to relax a little - I have been reading too many of the medical threads for London... I think I scared myself!
