Oh, I can't imagine that's how hard to get contraceptive pills in US.

I used Yasmine pills when my husband was here in PI. But buying Yasmine is just a piece of cake here in PI.

I'm not so familiar with Althea though.

Want to share the good side effects of Althea?

I loved Yasmine since it makes your skin more fairer and other people said I was more blooming.It generates reg period too. As much as I wanted to still take it, but there's no reason at all anymore.

Althea is also good for the skin (basing on my obgyn's sales talk lol... coz i used to take diane in phil but she said althea is cheaper and has the same good effect for your skin)... so i guess yasmine is too then hehe...

Yasmin is a prescription drug here in the U.S. On prescription drugs, don't get caught without the patient's name/label (pharmacy sticker) in the box or packet/medicine container. Prescriptions from doctors from other countries are not recognized here. Yasmin is expensive without insurance, about $50+ for 28 days supply. It also has a generic counterpart, Ocella, which is cheaper. but still you should get prescriptions for these medications from U.S. doctors or physician assistants and even nurses (yes, nurses here can prescribe medications), and ask for refills (you don't need to call your doctor/PA/nurse every month; just request the pharmacy to refill your prescription).

After seeing how much people think is too much to spend for going out to dinner I'm curious how much people spend on groceries per week. Typically I spend about $120-150/wk for basics and then drop in a few times throughout the week spending $20-30 on fresh produce and meat. So when I heard that $30 is a lot for eating out I thought I must be nuts spending $30 on stuff for one meal I'm cooking on my own.

I figured that but I have searched and searched and cannot find any records for it, marriage or otherwise...no divorce so no divorce records...i just dont want to bring something up that i cant provide any info on...i search on my state website and only pull my 1 marriage and divorce records...guess im off to the courthouse again monday .... wow im glad i didnt mail this I-129f in today like i was gonna...

Good that you took time in searching for your previous marriage and divorce records, or it would really be a mess...the processing of your papers might get delayed, and even worse, a denied petition. Good luck! Hope you get those documents really quick on Monday and send off that I-29F.

Ours was processed through Vermont Service Center. Both of our receipt notices were on official USCIS papers.

We got our NOA1 seperately, and yes when my son received his it was on a piece of white paper it didn`t look official at all.

Yes, we got separate NOA's (our daughter's arrive 10 days later). You will also receive separate appointments for biometrics. We are waiting for our daughter's appointment for biometrics.

I don't have any age out problems, but I read your story and it's horrible what you're going through! Fighting immigration fraud is one thing...trying to tear apart families who have already jumped through all of their hoops and paid all of their fees is completely different. Your family will be in my prayers, I hope everything works out quickly for you.

It has been a while since we have not posted because of our efforts in other areas to resolve our daughter's AOS denial. We are still fighting for her. We have a lawyer who is handling her case. We also joined the American Families United which is now lobbying for Fiance Visa Age Out problems , one among other urgent issues they are advocating to resolve. Our family is featured in their website. They are looking for other families with K2 AOS problems to give "more teeth" in their advocacy for reform in Congress/Senate.

Have there been any cases of where the K-1 was approved and the K-2 was approved with the K-1's dependent turning 21 after they have filed for Adjustment of Status?

I have called two times in the last two days and USCIS has both times told me as long as the AOS was filed prior to the K-2's 21st birthday, there would not be a problem (Age Out). Quite naturally, they would not give me a reference.

We filed the AOS applications...had our interviews and biometrics before my daughter turned 21....which supposedly at that time, a visa is immediately available because she is under 21...but at the time of USCIS adjudication, she already turned 21 (19 days after her birthday when they looked at our file/and we had been requesting them to expedite her case)...and that's the reason why they denied her...they said that based on their records (at the time when they opened the file) she is already 21 and thus ineligible to have a visa. So, only her 9 year old sister and I were approved. We are devastated. We are going to join that conference call too tomorrow. We had been so busy the past days that I was not able to log on at visa journey but we did received emails from G's hubby relative to this conference call. Talk to you tomorrow.

I hope that somebody here who have K-2's that got AOS approval even when they were already 21 would speak up and help us with what we are facing now....or PM Girona..and join us in the conference call.

I'm trying to find out what is the processing times for D.O.R.A through the Dallas location, also is it worth doing the EAD if your going through Dallas. anyone who went through Dallas please let me know. Thanks

Hi, I went through the Dallas Office Rapid Adjustment Program. This is my processing time:

Day 58 - application approved/date of permanent residence given (you would only know this in retrospect when you receive your green card) - they never email you or inform you when the exact date you get approved; but you will indeed receive a welcome letter/notification that they have registered you as a new permanent resident

Day 61 - email notice welcoming the new resident

DAy 66 - welcome letter in the mail

Day 72 - received green card in the mail

It is not worth doing the EAD; your green card will be there before your EAD.
