Fingerprint fee received since May 3, did biometrics June 1 (NOA1 says may 9, but we filed May 2 and EAD/AP NOA 1 was May 3).
received EAD/AP about two months ago, AOS says it's at NBC in Missouri - we are in NYC, New York

Good to hear from you, it has been a long time and I was wondering where you guys were at. Perhaps your field office is more backed up than ours is - hope you will be receiving good news soon!
Congrats on the job, that is so exciting!

Wonderful news! Congrats sarahandyunus!!!
We are still simmering on Fingerprint Fee Received at MSC/NBC
But! My wife got a job with her EAD!! Thank God for that! She found a good one too, assistant teacher at a day care a block from our apartment! 😃

Just wanted to post an update that we had our interview today and it was a million times easier than I ever imagined it being. Once my husband was sworn in the officer straight up told us it would be quick and painless. He only went over questions such as criminal record etc (formalities I suppose), looked at my husband's passport, EAD and drivers license and told us we'd get the card in the mail within 30 days. The entire thing took about 10 minutes. So relieved to finally be done with USCIS for the next 2 years. But best of luck to all my fellow May filers, I am thinking of you all and wishing you the best of luck in going through this. -

I believe it's after 6 months, as opposed to EAD which you can do after 90 days (technically 75)

papasmf got a reaction from capivzla in MARRIED NAME CHANGE WARNING
We got married in Mississippi, and live in New York. When we got married, the marriage certificate doesn't list the new married name. They told us to goto SS office and DMV to change it. We couldn't do social security update because she already had a card from a previous visit to the US, and she had already been here for 75 of the 90 days, so they told us to wait until we get EAD. We couldn't do DMV without EAD also.
So, we filled out all of our applicationsunder the new married name, AOS, EAD, and AP. On our cover letter we listed our maiden and married names and pertinent numbers (I'll provide a link below for the cover letter we used as an example). On those same forms, there should be a spot saying "list other names" or "maiden name" and that's where you put your maiden name.
Since then, May 3 2017 is when they received our applications -- we received our EAD/AP card with the new married name, and we are still on the long wait for a response about our AOS, which has had no RFE, but is still sitting at Fingerprint Fee Received at National benefits center since May 9.
Here is the link to the cover letter example we used, please let me know if you have any questions:
http://www.mrspresson.com/immigration/adjustment-of-status-aos-k1-visa/prepare-aos-package-forms-requirements-checklist/
This is a bit older so make sure everything is up to date if you follow the guide, but Mrs Presson was very thorough and I found it helped us in preparing ours. There is a link about halfway down the webpage to download the cover letter example.

@kris.n - EAD took nearly 4 months for us with no hiccups like your situation. After 90 days (I think actually after 75), you can put in a Case Inquiry online for Case Outside of Normal Processing time, that will become a Service Request, and then it will get assigned to agent for response. We did that around 75 days, it took a couple days longer than the 3 weeks estimate to get any agent assigned or our SR replied to, but when it finally did, a notice came in the mail telling us nothing other than "it's being worked on", but.. it did actually get worked on and completed within a week or two of the SR getting assigned

Just got the notification that my husband's interview will be October 26!! Yay! Now to prepare!

Thanks! The online status was that our RFE was received - before that it was Fingerprint Fee Received, so I guess that would be what it'd be if we hadn't had an RFE. Weirdly enough we got the notice in the mail but the online status still hasn't been updated...

Also @OBGYNKENOBI - if you already have a SSN and card, you shouldn't need to update that, unless you want to change your last name on it because it still has your maiden name
You should receive it any day now, ours took 8 days after we got the same status update to show up in the mail.

Congrats!!! So awesome!
My wife's is still at "Fingerprint Fee Received" at NBC since May 3, with a May 9 NOA1 date and June 1 biometrics - EAD/AP received 3 weeks ago on Friday. I've heard sometimes they get stuck at NBC and it takes longer but maybe they skip the interview if that happens, we'll see and of course let you all know.
many congrats again obgynkenobi, glad and encouraged to hear that another Filipina has been approved

Hello my dear friends!
So the interview was today And I'd like to share how it went. Appointment was at 1430H but, we weren't called about an hour after.
Interview with the IO was smooth. First, my husband and i took oath. He asked for my fullname, birthdate, employment status and present address. Told him we moved to a new address but preferred the GC to be mailed to the previous address( so its possible, you just have to indicate a change in physical address but mailing address remains the same). Then he turned to ask my husband his fullname, birthdate and employment status. He asked us if we have any documents to add to our case. So, we gave him photos of the wedding, recent family events we attended and random photos taken at our place. And also documents which we both had our names on it. After that, he then told us that we'll be receiving the conditional GC since the marriage is less than 2 years. He also reminded us about what documents to prepare for filing ROC. The interview took less than 15 min. Few minutes after we got out the building, i received sms/email that my card is in production.
I can still remember how i got stressed out about the biometrics appointment
To everyone who helped, thank you so much. At least for now, we get to have that long time out with USCIS. Time to get DL and a job. Or perhaps a vacation..lol
Before i forget, about the SSN. Do we need to update them? Thanks!
Hope everyone is getting positive results.

"New Card Is Being Produced" - Finally after 112 days! Thank you God, and VJ members!
Any idea how long does it take for the card to be produced and delivered? The email said it should reach in 30 days, but I'm assuming its a standard cut off time.

Ugh, sorry to hear that 😐... did you try calling and asking for a tier 2 rep?
Maybe even post a topic about this here and see who else has experienced not getting it as a combo card after the long wait, and what they did.
according to this, it happens to about 1% of applicants:

Check the bottom of your EAD card, if it says something like "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole", then it serves as your EAD and AP card - we never got any online update about AP either, just a mail and it shows that on our card.

We got our case status update text/email notice two Thursday nights ago, aug 17, then another update last Tuesday evening that it was mailed, and received it in the mail a few days later on Friday, so it took one week plus one day (EAD/AP combo card for K1 to AOS)
oh yeah - and woohoo congrats!!!

On August 28, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC1791253373, and will mail it to the address you gave us.
