*he seems slightly jealous whenever i mention going out for the weekend

Just traveled to Russia and France for 2 weeks using my EAD/AP after ~3 years tourist visa overstay.
Landed at Boston Logan airport - spent 2 mins in line and then just 5 minutes at secondary - the officer there only asked where I traveled to and how long I stayed and that's it.
Going to Caribbean for New Year. Very pleasant experience traveling with AP...
    I-485 still at "Case received"...

    Hi guys,
So yesterday was my interview and my PD is June 13th and my Field Office is Hartford, CT. My interview was scheduled for 11am and I felt pretty good going into the office. Access into the building took us about 40 minutes but we made it into the interview section at 10:54am. We checked in and the receptionist asked if we had any paperwork to submit to the officer and I gave her the copies I made(she let me know that it was possible that I would not get back originals). I had not anticipated this, I envisioned myself giving the officer all of these items during interview however I was well prepared with copies of EVERYTHING. We then sat and waited for45 minutes before we were called in. SIDEBAR* as we sat there a stern looking officer came out and called a couple...they both rose and went towards IO then IO said to the husband that he should stay and he will question the wife 1st. I myself was a bit shocked on a few issues......how stern(borderline rude) the officer seemed to be, the fact that they were a couple(i thought it was mother and son sorry for being judgemental i know love has no boundaries) and the look of horror on their faces when they were told they would be interviewed seperately.
That put me in a bit of a funk and then 45 minutes later......they called us.....guess who my officer was?!? Yip! Mr.Grump Pants......so I walk to my impending doom while calculating in my head how long they may give me for voluntary departure.
We get to his office and he swears us in, began asking my husband questions, name, birthdate,address.....then whats my name, birthdate, where I was born, who helped us with our paperwork, our children's names and D.O.B, trips we have taken together. Then he turned to me and asked me the same questions, not much variation, asked me the questions on my I485. We answered everything correctly and all was well. He asked me if I ever had a visa before and I said yes. He asked if I overstayed a visa prior to this one, I said that I was not certain but I do no think so. I have a student's visa and after graduation I didnt return home immediately since I was pregnant with our daughter(not married) so I was not sure what the "truth" was so I said I did not know.
He then says, "BTW do you guys have ID?" I give hime my passport and husband's passport, he takes my I94, makes me sign a document stating that I have told the truth etc. Then says that because I am not sure about my previous visa history and do not have verification of my entries prior to the I94 he will need to check visa status before he approves. Disappointed, we say thank you and leave.
While I sit in the movies gorging on some cheesecake that I sneak into theater I receive the card in production update, then 3 hours later my I485 and his I130 are approved. Sorry for the novel guys and best of luck to everyone. Again, thank you for your kind words and support during this journey and I am excited for everyone.

I have been a silent reader after my biometrics appointment. Things got pretty frustrating when we received an RFE (Initial evidence- yellow paper). We managed to respond after almost 2 months. Days after, I made an SR online for my EAD since RFE was for I-485. Checked my status online on Oct. 14 (day after my bday) and it said my interview was scheduled for Nov. 16. No changes for either EAD or AP. On the 22nd, I received a hardcopy response for the SR and it says "Your form I-765 will be processed within 90 days of receipt of requested evidence". Didn't bother much about that since I'll be having my interview soon. But just last night, I checked my status again and my EAD changed to "New Card is being produced" and my AP has been approved! This process is just weird! I'm just grateful to have not stressed out much as I have read most of your own experiences.
I have a question about SSN, though. When I get my EAD card (which might take 2 weeks), should I get my SSN (which will state "valid for work only with DHS authorization") or just wait for the interview (if hopefully they approve) then apply for SSN (without that notation)?
Thanks for your guidance, congrats to those who already got their GC and good luck to those who are still waiting!

The INA 212 overstay bars do not apply to someone with a pending I-485 and who has been granted Advance Parole.

Hope to help here? My Spouse from an African Country used the AP twice to go to Canada. It seems like a crapshoot on what happens. The first time by Air back at Toronto Airport, it was an automatic secondary. Waited for like 15 minutes, Then they just stamped his passport: Paroled Until etc...(what a word I thought. Sound like prison parole...). The second like was coming back by car from Montreal, in Lake Champlain. This one was a pain. Automatic Secondary of course, but what a lot of questions from the CPB officer. How did we meet, where does he live, what is my age. he got nervous and flubbed some answers. LOL
So she began looking up his information in the computer. She took 30 minutes, then asked where was the last I-94 with the parole stamp from Toronto? We both looked at her uncomprehendingly like she was from the moon LOL. She didnt believe us of course, and she felt all his passport pages for the staple marks I think.
She then stamped a new I-94 with Paroled until etc..and said welcome back LOL.
Dont mean to alarm but just dont get nervous like he did.
