So I finally got something of an update regarding my EAD case status! I had made an online inquiry on day 75 (July 18th) and was told I would receive a response to my inquiry by August 9th. This morning I checked my USCIS account and saw these messages:
Case History

08/07/2017
On August 7, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR***********MSC, was completed.

On August 7, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR***********MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.
I'm assuming I'll receive my response in the mail, and I'm really hoping it's not just "your case is within normal processing time" because I'm at 95 days out from my PD now.
Hoping for some some good news this week!
If it makes you feel any better, I tried to make a service request a while back and it wouldn't allow me because I was still within processing time. So, I doubt they'll send you a letter just saying that.

Great news! We're going at almost the same timeline. Let's hope this is hope for everyone else!

What do you guys think about putting in a service request at this point? We're at day 83 from our priority date right now, and wanted to wait until 90 days just in case. It looks like people a month ahead of us are getting their EAD's about now, so is it worth putting in a SR? Will it just slow down the process and prevent my husband getting his EAD/AP asap?
I don't think that putting in an SR will slow anything down per say. I've read a lot of cases on here that actually got looked at very shortly after submitting one. I've also put one in on day 80-something. It still hasn't been assigned.
For me, im exercising all resources! I put in a service request, I've contacted my congressman and I will be calling the customer service number this week as day 90 is on Wednesday.
I personnaly feel its my job to to make sure that I use every tool available because 1) I paid for this process and I've bought myself the right to be persistent and 2) it's my livelihood at stake here.

That's np, PD 04/28/17 n SR was placed Aug 1st. No expedite just a normal enquiry via USCIS website.
That's good news for everyone else here. There is progress being made!

Me as well Gordo2...fingers crossed!

Lol. My EAD was mailed to me yesterday so for me the biggest wait is over. I can work and travel and have a normal life, this makes me less impatience for the GC interview hehe
Your timeline doesn't appear on your messages. Did you expedite your EAD or did that come in natural time?

The status of this service request is:
Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortlyWhen did you file, and did you expedite your request? It's just good to know for others when you post on here that there has been progress.

Something that you may find helpful is the timeline visa journey provides. It gives you estimated times you may receive your EAD

What are the thoughts on submitting a SR online after the 75 day mark on the I-765? Do you folks think it's beneficial or detrimental to do so?
What is the harm in just submitting one? I'm at the point where I will be as annoying as possible until I get information of some kind.

I find this odd, though. It says updated as of May 31, so perhaps they could be further along.
There are people in the April AOS forum that have received their EAD cards without filing a SR or expediting it. So, there's hope!
-
We have friends that received this well before us because they filed a couple months ahead. They were notified that their case was ready for an interview and two months later, they got the date in the mail.
-
Our case changed to 'ready to be scheduled for interview' as of today. So, must be that they're getting around to that much earlier than EADs. Interview date is in the mail and in its way to us!
So glad to know the cases are moving along. Was starting to lose hope and wonder if they were far enough behind to delay the process by a few more months.
-
At this point, though, where would our cases be? I've been checking the California Service Center, but perhaps I was told incorrectly. My nearest field office is Chicago...is that the processing time I should be checkin for i-765 stuff?
-
And another thing...how would I find my congressman. I'm not familiar with that side of the process.
-
I didn't think that was an option if there wasn't a reason to expedite it, like a job offer or something along those lines. Right?
-
Did anyone notice that the processing time on the USCIS site for EAD (c9) has fallen back a month? They were processing applications as of April 15 last week and now it says March 3. What gives?!
-
My husband and I have already completed the process, but he is British. Happy to answer any of the questions if you have them!
-
Don't worry about your i-94. As long as you are married before that date, you're good to go.
AOS isn't required within that time period. You can adjust whenever you'd like, but the sooner the better because of other paperwork you have in your packet.

Just an update from me as well. I received my text just after midnight last night (May 26). So, took me 16 days from mailing it. Wahoo!
-
Congrats! You're on the same timeline as I am. Fingers crossed!
I'm so anxious.
-
How long was it before your check was cashed?
-
Thanks you, Danni. It's two weeks yesterday and I'm a little stressed. I know that I looked it all over, the fees are right and all.
-
Okay great. Thank you. That's what I was expecting.
Whew!
-
Ah, I see your took some time as well. That's helpful to know. Thanks for that.
The posts I've read previously talk about receiving it after just a couple days.
I'm guessing by the end of the month.

Does the fact that my interview is ready to be scheduled for the i-485 mean that if I've not received and RFE's by now that I won't?
