  1. Sunday 8/25/2019:  I-751 package sent from Raleigh, NC via FedEx 2-day for $25

Wednesday 8/28/2019: Received and signed for at USCIS Phoenix, AZ at 10:30am according to FedEx tracking

No email, no text from USCIS.  I paper clipped the email/text form to the cover letter.  I don't think that's the best way to do it.  I assume the form got unclipped and lost?

    Monday 9/2/2019: Labor day

Wednesday 9/4/2019: Check cashed according to bank account online lookup

Saturday 9/7/2019: 18 month extension notice received in the mail.  Assigned to Potomac Service Center (YSC).

Good luck to everyone.  Hope this timeline helps.

  2. Hi everyone.  We had our K1 AOS interview in Raleigh, NC on 11/22, the day before Thanksgiving.  Quick 10 minute interview.  Mostly ran down the questions in Section 3 of the I-485 form, like are you a member of the communist party, have you ever killed anyone, or been trained in the military?  Checked our marriage certificate and said you're approved.  Should get your conditional green card in the mail in 2 weeks.  Got a I-797 letter in the mail on 11/27 that was dated 11/22  that said our I-485 was approved.  USCIS Web site is still not updated - says interview scheduled.  Should get green card next week?  Hope this info helps.

  3. Our NOA2 was approved Nov 17. I called the NVC today for the very first time. Called at 10:15pm EST. On hold for 30 minutes and call was dropped/disconnected. Several deep breaths. Called again and got thru after 40 minutes of being on hold. Nice lady took my USCIS receipt number and said my case "was received today and it takes about 2 weeks to enter all the information into their system. Call back on 12/26 - actually we may be closed on that day so call back on 12/27". Hope this info helps others

Update: Called 2 days later on 12/15 at 9:15pm. 45 minutes on hold. Got our case number and invoice ID number after giving our USCIS receipt number, receipt date, names, and date of birth. They say the package will be shipped to Guangzhou China within the next 2 weeks and we will be dealing with them directly from then on. Marching onward! Again, I hope this update helps others in the process.
