Logged in online this morning and the website is now newly updated. Easier to see what's going on I think. Anyway....

We now have a notice listed requesting more evidence...did not get an email for this. They will be mailing what they are requesting via snail mail.

Is this normal to be asked for more evidence before the interview?

We sent 15 different documents when we first submitted our application.

I just logged in and saw I have this exact same notice. It doesn’t show the date the notice was posted. Nothing under the documents tab yet either. Gah!

Any June filer here at Vermont who hasn’t been approved? My PD is June 10 2019 and my receipt # EAC199010xxxx. Some people with receipt numbers after mine have been approved already and even people from July have seen some movement on their cases.

Me. Also June 2019 Vermont filed with no movement since biometrics in July.

This morning I received an email from no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov stating that "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time". Did anyone else receive this kind of email?

I got this too! It’s because you signed up for notifications on activity (or lack thereof) every two weeks or so. I opted into these notification emails on the USCIS website.

Thanks for that timeline.... Luckily we received the long awaited update today, card in production! I'll believe it when I see it tho...

So yours took less than a week from when you mailed the new medical to card in production?! This gives me hope. The NY field office received our new medical exactly one week ago.

Getting super anxious that it won't be out in time for our September 19 trip ugh!

Well we finally had our interview.  Everything really seemed to go well.  The case officer talked a lot about her life and told stories.  She didn't ask much but we were ready with all the answers and evidence for what she did ask.

Unfortunately we got to the very end and were getting up to leave when she told us our medical was expired and somehow incomplete.  I was really surprised since we had no prior notification that there were any issues.  We also didn't know our medical was expired.

I guess she was referring to the one we had done in Egypt before my husband received the K1 visa to enter the US?  Once we were married and before submitting our AOS paperwork we did another medical - that was in September of last year.  That should be well within the time.

Any case my husband and I went for a new medical to the same office we had visited for our AOS paperwork.  We went right after getting out of the interview this past Friday.  Of course it took the weekend to get the results but on Monday morning first thing, my husband picked up the new medical and delivered it to the NYC office by hand.  He actually put it in the hand of our case officer.  She said we could bring it once it was completed.

Since that time however, there have been no changes or updates to our case.  In fact the website still says interview is scheduled.

I sincerely hope we aren't in for another long wait.  As we were told they have 3 months to respond - and we can't inquire till that time has gone by.  Fingers crossed we get something before then!

If anyone has any experience with something like this, please share.

And for those awaiting interviews, I hope you're due for a smoother process.

Hi there - I'm going through the exact same thing here. My medical was expired so I just did the exam again and I'm waiting for the results to come out so I can submit it. The instructions in my letter said to mail it in, though.

Did you you end up getting approved after they received your new medical?

I'm in a time crunch as I need the GC or EAD/AP renewal by September 18...

We are about to file the renewal of EAD/AP since it's taking forever. At least you had an interview, we are still waiting for any news, Houston is overloaded and running slow.

I'm not sure if you will find this useful, but I found this on the USCIS site: https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/automatic-employment-authorization-document-ead-extension

Our category is c9 which is on the list.

Thanks! I'm okay from an EAD standpoint because of the automatic extension, but I don't think that applies to AP. Gahhh.

Do you guys renew AP separately from the EAD?

    No, together.

@azulturquesa we are in the exact same boat unfortunately. USCIS New York field office received our new medical today, so hopefully our GC gets approved before expiration on Sept 4! Hopefully by then this USCIS soap opera is over...

Oh dear! Mine expires on Sept 14 and they'll have our new medical by August 14.

  7. Has anyone successfully renewed their EAD/AP yet? I sent my renewal application on June 21st and really need it by September 18 at the latest so I can travel for our wedding celebration in my home country... eek. My current EAD/AP will expire by then.

We had my interview on July 31st and had an RFE because my medical exam is now expired (thanks USCIS for taking over a year to schedule my interview), so I just had my medical exam redone. Sending that over on Monday and hoping that my green card will be approved shortly thereafter - but they told us it can take up to another 120 days?!?

This is all so nerve racking since I have to travel on September 19 :(

Have you ever tried to do an infopass? My PD was July 26th, and my case is complete.. July filers in NYC have concluded may-june..

It could very well be human error, you know, one of those cases where it was appointed to one person.. maybe that person has been on vacation, or retired or fired etc... you never know.  Try to schedule an infopass appointment, they would be able to tell you anything about your case.

    Finally, an update!

I did go to an infopass at the end of May and was told my case was still at the NBC and had not made it to the NYC field office yet.

I just filed my EAD/AP renewal last week, and today my online status changed to interview scheduled! Yay! Interview date is on July 31st.

  9. Hi everyone - just a quick update on my case.

I have not heard anything since July (case received and biometrics) other than receiving my combo card in September, so I went for an Infopass appointment today. I was told that my application is still at the Service Center and has not been sent to the NYC field office yet. They said this probably means they are still doing security checks etc. on it prior to sending it to the field office. Kind of unnerving.

Sooo the waiting continues... anyone else in a similar situation?

  10. Hello there, just wanted to tell you we're in the same boat as you.

We sent in everything to Chicago lockbox on July 19, 2016 and the receipt says it was received on July 20, 2016 (which is also the Priority Date).

We have the EAD. We didn't apply for AP.

We were never asked for a RFIE nor a RFE.

Just waiting. The processing times for West Palm Beach, FL office says as of August 31, 2016 they are working on I-485s received April 6, 2016.

Hang in there. Be patient. It's frustrating. We know!

    Thanks for responding!

The NYC office is even more behind - as of Aug. 31, they were processing cases from November 2015. Yikes!
