I am trying not to get stress with the days we are losing, but my fiance is in the military and they are most likely to get only Christmas leave, so we are planning to get married by that time since we dont know when he can get leave again, and he doesnt have a control over that. We are planning to do a kinda big wedding with family and friends, but its hard to have anything concrete with this waiting time getting longer. I also want to try to get my mom a visa so she can go to the wedding. I thought it will be better to apply once I pass mine, but we dont even know if we will have time for that. Does anyone think we will qualify for the expedite? I did call USCIS yesterday, but they said they can only talk to the petitioner, but my fiance is underway, and going through all this without him is just very stressful!

I might be wrong but maybe your fiance can expedite it? Because he's active military?

It works for Spanish but Tagalog is terrible.  I just wanted the poster to know that if the wanted to address other groups they can get an English translation to post.

It can translate from Tagalog well enough. better than other Filipino dialects, but it definitely doesn't help you translate English to Tagalog like it can with other languages. haha. It just creates nonsense sentences.

I didn't realize that was your question.  I believe all K-1s go through California...

no my question was about my noa1. i was asking where it was. i didn't realize the form i received weeks ago was in fact my NOA1.  hahaha. I expected a form that said "NOA" on it. I assumed this first form was just a receipt number and nothing more. Very embarrassing.

does anyone know how to get a live person on the phone with UCIS? they say they have agents available for questions in the automated message but no option to get one on the line haha.

nvm, I got through. Now I know what service center my application is at. Also FYI the agent said that the California service center is working on February applications currently.

Thank you Damara, I posted a thread about the home visit. About patience.....when you wait for many years to even come together
and you are finally together then waiting together is not as bad as waiting being apart.
We can either make ourselves sick over it or be positive and move forward the best we can.
I will not let the system steal my joy. Life is too short.

Your partner does not need to leave the US and wait in their home country even if AOS takes years?

  6. Ok I've been asking a lot about this as I am getting ready to send it in. I just don't want to get an RFE! I have read the I-129F package assembly guide on here many many times and I have everything on it now BUT I was browsing the RFE master list it says one person got RFE because they didn't include the beneficiary's birth certificate. That's not in the guide, I don't have that. Is that really required at this first stage?

It's a required "seminar" type thing where they educate Philippines citizens before they go over seas. It is required or immigrations won't let her into the main airport terminal without it being done.

It can be done again before or after the interview but they have to affix the certificate/seal, so if before the interview she needs to just go back and they will put it in her passport.

It's cheap... $20-40 I believe it was and takes like 4-5 hours...

woww thank you, we had no idea about this. we probably would have missed it.

Like above, once I-129f is process and approved (NOA2) it will go to NVC. At that point you can get a case number MNL*********** and use that to set up and pay for an appointment at St Lukes online or in person at a BPI branch I believe and show receipt of payment at medical. My partner took care of most of this on his end.

Once petition arrives in Manila and CEAC has "Ready for interview" you can set up the interview and again pay online or in person.

Also don't forget to do CFO, either before or afer interview. If before she needs to return with passport and approved K-1 visa so they can affix proper certificate/stamp for immigrations.

Thank you, this is great. Online payment will be much easier.  CFO?
