  1. Send this same email to the embassy. I had a question about the new rule about attending an interview and they replied right away...it was a matter of hours.

My sis the petitioner for our mom the applicant . my sis call the 1 888 to set up an follow up interview for our mom she buy the pin over the phone an then set u the inteview they give her a number an tell her to give my mom an when my mom coming to the interview she present that # in order to be interview, when my mom get at the embassy today the security didnt let in side tell her that her name is not on the interview list.. what should we do now that she miss her follow up interview??

  2. GOOD LORD!!! I just spent the last hour and a half catching up....went tru 4 rum punches in the process!!! Yall sure can chat!!!

I got to be at work in 7 hours and my but needs to be in bed but im afraid Ima ovasleep cause I am hella tired!!! So anyway.... Glad to see all is going well on here...a little too much baby dust tho somebody need to dust! Lovin all the support being given in times of drama and stress

Sad and a bit jealous about the possible link up in orlando.......ok, fallin asleep yall.... will keep checking in on ya. Oh and BTW, ...nothing changed for us yet. hopefully soon

  3. The last one i did was dated August 16, 2010.. so the next one am going to do will be the third...

If you don't mind me asking....what was the reason for needing a new one? The last thing that I was told from NVC was it just had to be dated after that June 2010 date....did they say why you need another one?

  4. So today i went for my interview,at my interview i got a blue slip for a new police record again, this will be my 3rd Police record to those people, also they need me to do a DNA to prove that my father is really my dad, i feel so bad, am 27yrs old, and my dad or any one in my family have ever doubt me and these people doubt my relationship with my dad,i don't have a problem with my dad wanting a DNA, but its not my dad who needed it, its a stranger all because off wanting to to live as a family with my dad and sisters, i don't see whats wrong with someone having a child when they were 16yrs it happens all the time, my mom laugh so hard about it... but i don't see the joke in it... i told my daddy they i will do the DNA but i dont feel like leaving my country again i rather stay here with my people.... he said i break his heart to say that.. but honestly that's how i feel... anyways does anyone know how to get the DNA test done.. i didn't ask the white man who interview me nothing i just walk out when he said they not sure he is really my dad. and today atleast while i was there only one was granted all get blue slips but only me for DNA...

What was the date on the last police record? It has been notated many times in the Jamaican Forum that the US/JA embassy is requiring new police records dated after June 14th (or some date near that) did you just not see that? or, was yours dated after and they still requested another? Just asking because we just got our 2nd police record and are now waiting for an interview... About the other issue....Girl, go get the DNA ...as frustrating as it feels you are almost there! Keep your head up and jump through this last hoop! Good luck.

  5. Exactly and to say a new, nice phone. Cho!

    Uhhhhhh NO..enough said. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I was thinking the same as you about baby mama's signature, but I think it has to be notorized. What if you couldn't find the baby momma though? What happens then? If she hasn't seen the child since practically birth, how are you suppose to tracl them down? I guess the embassy does care (as usual) and would say you must find her.

How is your case going along now? Hubby soon come??

Got a 2nd RFE for a new Police Record...he got one, fedx it to me, I fedx it to NVC...they got it Monday...now just waiting for them to Case Complete and schedule a damn interview...looks like will be in October.

  6. Hello all (waving) wassssuuuupppp???

I am a little late but I got 2 cents to put in on a few things.....

Uhhhhh about the lending...I mean GIVING of $$$ to friends...uhhhhhhh NO. enough said.

about the signing of the paper so the baby can migrate to the US....I guess I am just ghetto cause I would have signed that paper a lonnnnng time ago! She hasn't seen the child in forever and the grandparents are raising her?? yeahhhhh NO, no tracking her down to ask her anythang!!!! I mean really, is the US or JA government gonna check that?

Ok, so yall now know I am a ghetto gal at heart!!! :)

Hope everyone is doing ok...chat later

  7. I will be taking the July 7 PC to the interveiw on the 27 of Aug. But while doing my Med. i over hear someone saying that embassy wont accept police certificate thats over !1 mth old....so im trying to confirm if its true, cause mine is a little over i mths old so i can get a new one............DONT WANT TO JOIN THAT LONG LINE AGAIN TO GET A NEW PS>

I can almost guarantee that there is no 1 month rule....I say this because NVC required we get a new PC and I really doubt that we will have an interview date within 1 month of getting the new PC. That would be amazing since it is taking 6-8 weeks for Case Complete after a RFE....its not gonna happen.

  8. Actually my interveiw was granted 2 months after.......I keep checking the website and they are no changes made, still say they wont accept pc dated before june 16,i already sent one to the nvc that was before june so i did a new one that now dates july 7 2010, dont wont to get a blue slip for it, so im trying to see if its still up to date......And the lines at the police records place is so LONG,and to pay 2000 jmd again...wi have it if do....my interveiw is on aug 27

Star Boy very wise on your side...wish we would have done that as well. I hope you included a copy of the new PC with your paperwork to NVC so they won't give you a RFE---didn't notice if you have a Case Complete yet. Good luck in your Journey.

  9. I don't see how it is unfair though. you should just being thanking god that you didn't get a denied letter...

Ughhhh denied for what??? I have many things to thank GOD for but can't see what the heck you are talking about????

It sounds like you tried your best. I am about to give an advice that I offer only once every 1000 years: Get yourself a skilled immigration atty,

    Best wishes.

    :star:

Uhhh Nah....it's not that serious...just gotta be patient although frustrated.

  10. I don't see how it is unfair though. You forgot the copy of your husband's passport, not them......

I do agree it is silly that they didn't bother to do it all at once, it would save everyone time.

No, I do accept the first RFE...it was my fault...but at that time they had a valid police record and only said I needed to send the missing copy of the passport....it is only now that they have changed the policy about police records and are requesting a 2nd record be PURCHASED although the previous one was already cleared.

Did you get RFE in email or through snail mail?

    email

  11. Okay, here's the scoop...

My fiancé was denied his visa due to charges on his police record.

The embassy has stated that in order for him to be eligible for a waiver of these specific charges, we must be married.

Fine, no problem, woo hoo!! t5524.gif

Next month, a year and 3 months after the K1 petition we will finally be married...

So then I have to file another petition (CR1) and wait all over again.

Not so fine, but whatever

I know I am going to have lots of questions.

I have read the CR1 guide, but our case is unique and I am broke

So, no lawyer for me

I hope that the good people of VJ will help again with ROUND TWO :help:

    First question:

On the I-130 it asks for the Alien Registration number.

Should I put the A# he was given in the K1 NOA2?

Will this same number follow him throughout the immigration process?

Hey hun...you know I will be here with as much info as I can remember..... I left that space blank because Michael didn't have an Alien Reg #.... I would say yes to use the one he was issued since he was issued one.

  12. Just when you think you've heard it all....

My case had been reviewed and I got a RFE because I forgot to send a copy of my husband's passport...According to NVC that was the ONLY thing that was wrong. So, I sent it and they put it on the bottom of the pile of cases to review so at 7 weeks they send me another RFE!!!! This time, it is because of the new ruling requiring a new police record if the previous record was dated prior to June 14th. YES, I was aware we were gonna need to get a new record and provide it at the interview but didn't realize that we would need to have it prior to getting an interview. REALLY????

I don't think that is fair. They already told me the file was good with the one exception....I think they should have advised me that at the interview I will be required to have a new police record but not hold up the process of getting an interview.

My question is....what keeps this from happening again....how many RFE's can one person get??? Is there an expedite I can request due to the length of time and the unfairness of the situation??? Anyone with this or a similar situation??? Multiple RFE's???

    HELP!!!

  13. Pacmatrx,, Sachinky is right..My RFE did take 11 days to be exact..

I beg to differ.....the new process is 6-8 weeks! It took my case exactly 7 weeks after they received the ONE document I forgot to include (copy of my husbands passport). I have been told by the NVC operators that they are looking at RFE info just as if it were a brand new case. In the meantime of my case being reviewed a second time...the requirements have changed and now I got a 2nd RFE for an updated police report. So, I guess they are correct in saying that the whole file is reviewed when they get the Requested evidence.

  14. I don't understand why it is taking so long for a case complete! Yes I know, it can take 4-6 weeks once they get the paperwork but I got a RFE for one piece of paperwork and then sent it in...so, one would think they had already looked at everything and once getting the last piece it would be CASE COMPLETE...but NO!! they say the time starts again....so I am at week 5 now....

Anyone with any advise other than just sit and wait?

  15. Hey everyone....just stopping by to say HI.....

I peek in when all yall are sleeping...just to try and keep an eye on the happenings. Nothing new with me...just waiting on an interview date...I thought it might be in August but its looking like September. Oh well, I figure it will happen when it is meant to happen.

ShaNette....I may be making a day trip up to your area in the next couple of weeks....may have to do a yardie hookup since those east coast chicks always seem to connect and have all the fun...we gotta show them we can too!!!

Seems like all is good in the VJ neighborhood...no drama..no issues...ALL GOOD! I will most def be giving a shout out when we get the interview cause I will need all yall prayers. Sooooooooo check yall lata! PEACE!!!
