Raag got a reaction from chamma in Case Complete to Interview July 2017
During my interview in Mumbai US consulate, I gave IRS approval for extension for filing (email from taxact) and W2 for 2016. The officer kept the W2 form but returned the filing extension approval email.

Yes. I had selected 'Yes' in DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa and Alien registration form for the questions 'Do you want the Social Security Adminstration to issue a Social Security number and a card' and 'Do you authorize disclosure of information from this form to the Department of Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration and such other U.S. Government agencies as may be required for the purpose of assigning you SSN and issuing you a Social Security card ...,'

Please have a look at my signature to get an idea how many days it takes for the AOS fee and invoice fee to become available for payment.

Congrats to all who got CC.
Happy to report my cc today (on completion of 10 weeks from scan date). Saw the famous 3rd N/A and visa application status changed to At NVC. Called NVC and got confirmation. Now the wait for interview scheduling begins!

NVC themselves are not sure of what should be the standard time to review documents.
2 - 4 weeks mentioned in CEAC website used to be the standard.
It became upto 6 weeks in NVC website which was recently revised to upto 8 weeks.
The standard excuse given now by NVC: "We receive 1000s of documents every day" as if it is something new.
It is a typical sign of "go-slow" tactics of disgruntled workers of NVC. There have been recent reports of demonstrations of NVC workers asking for a raise from the federal contractor.
May be the new administration wants to slow down legal immigration too!
