Hello Folks;
We reecently sent in my wife's removal of conditions application 3 weeks ago. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the notice of receipt?
Thanks,

Hi Uli;
Mine was approved 3 yrs ago. I guess the best thing I can tell you is make sure your relationship is sincere, and keep in mind you will have to prove that to the government. Mine was not expedited, because it went into administrative processing for 120 days.

If anyone is in administrative processing in Kyiv, I can tell you about my experience there and how it turned out ok.

You know this from experience?

Well that wasn't my question. My question was not about what was said in the affidavits or if my affidavits will say something wrong if contacted. The question is that the instructions in the I 751 state that dob, and place of birth of each affidavit reference must be included. I only included phone#, address name and how they know me. forget to to have them put place of birth and dob.

I have a question about the Removal of conditions part of the green card. We have finished the application and we're about to send it. I read through the I-751 Instructions, and I have a question about the affidavits. It says in the instructions to include the date and place of birth of the affidavit writer. We forgot to ask them to do that. We have affidavits which are notarized with their id and address only. Do you think this will work, or should these be redone?
Thanks,
Chris

Hello Folks the 90 day mark is approaching (90 days before my wife's 2 year green card expires), and the question is do we have to file exactly 90 days before or within 90 days for the removal of conditions? Thanks, Chris

Hello folks, my wife received her green card a while back and she came in on a k1 fiance Visa. She would like to be ready for the removal of conditions in 9 months from now. We know 90 days before we must submit the application. The question is what evidence if any is needed for the interview?
Thanks,

Got a question. My wife got her greencard last year. Are there any restrictions to travel for its 2 years of use? Do we need a special travel form along with it? How about w/ the regular 10 yr greencard? during the time we are waiting to get approved for the 10 year Greencard are there any travel restrictions in the mean time? Do we need a special travel form in addition?
Thanks,
Chris

Ben Hammer, be practical man, who has time to dredge through weeks or even months of old posts to post something? Old posts also tend to draw less attention, because people get tired of responding to the same old thread. There is also a diminishing interest in those. As a moderator, i would think you want this site to attract visitors. As explained above, visitors will be more inclined to go to other venues if you police them excessively and make them dredge through old posts.

I think so, he said it looks good, but that the office is busy.

Just call uscis and see if you can update your addtrss ober the phone. If not there is a form you can fill out. Then uou csn follow up call uscis in a gew weeks to make sure.

Yeah, as long as you bring a back up document, you dont habe to keep updating an application you have already submitted.

Hello folks:
We just had our interview, and i had some anxiety during the interview. However i tried my best to appear calm, and i answered all the questions clearly and consisely.
My wife also did, and felt the same way i did, and she showed it a little, because her english is not the best. She and the interpretator tried their best to work together to understand the questions correctly and answer.
We answered everything correctly and didn't make any mistakes otherwiss. Do you think feeling this way during an interview will affect anything?
Thanks,

Hello folks:
We are getting ready to go to our Green Card Interview, and we got our I707. It said we need to bring our paperwork including: w2's, employment verification, and medical vaccination. Do we need current ones or will those submitted with the green card application be ok?
Thanks,

Hello Folks:
We are about to go for our green card interview, and we are both a little bit nervous about it. Can anyone tell me about what to expect in that interview? How difficult is it? What should we know before going? What kind of questions are asked and we sort of evidence do we need?
Thanks,
Chris

Hello Alexo:
Sounds good. Apparently the DHS has a website where you can keep track of the visa status there, however it requires too many hyper sensitive bells and whistles to sign up to the point where logging in is very difficult. Yes, we called USCIS and were told there is quite a long wait over at USCIS in our city around 26 months max. We also realized that the location in our city is reviewing cases for July 2016. So they are exactly 14 months behind now, our date filed was in Aug 2017. Pretty ridiculous.. We need to pay lower taxes, because we are not getting what we pay for.

Hello Folks:
The glitch is still there. I hear the main USCIS website has had problems lately. I also understand that there are 2 other websites that cover greencard application status other than just USCIS. I believe one is by DHS. In fact I have found the DHS one to be very difficult to access, because it asks so many security questions combined with the fact that it is hypersensitive we have had no luck with logging into it. Does anyone have any tips to getting logged into the DHS site, or about the other site since USCIS is down for us and many others?
Thanks!

Hello Folks:
Things were looking good, and the interview looked like it was going to happen at any time. sincw we have been waiting almost a year and got the biometrics+work permit done. Then there was a problem, when we checked our case status it said this:
" At this time USCIS can't provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information". Does anyone have any information on what this means?
Thanks,
Chris

Hey guys, I would like to hear your opinion based upon your experience. My wife was here on a fiance visa, and we got married. We have also applied for the green card. Now we are trying to prepare for the interview, and I am interested in your opinions what kind of info will we need for the interview? I understand that photos together, records of texts, bank accounts together, trips together, dental appointments all come together to show proof of living together. What sort of questions should we expect at the interview, what sort of pitfalls has anyone experienced in terms of the interview. Is there anything I am missing in terms of what to bring as evidence? How much should I know about my wife to show the reviewers that we are a legit couple? Please give me a list of evidence I should bring and anything else helpful. Thanks!

Hello Folks:
I have a question about the biometrics appointment. We filed for my wife's work permit and AOS at the same time. Does anyone know if we need to complete the Biometrics Exam first in order to get the work permit?
Fiance' Visa Application -Rental Room
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

Hello Folks:
I happen to have a Fiance' Visa I have started. Being a resourceful entrepreneur; I was thinking of renting a room out in my house to a single lady in order to earn a bit of extra pocket change. In anybody's opinion; is this a bad idea, which could come under scrutiny by USCIS or the US Embassy and impact an applicants Fiance' Visa?
Thanks
Mr. Chris
