    Hello fellas,

A long time since my last post so finally I'll give an update too.

First of all my card was in the Mail the Monday after Thanksgiving. No update online, I checked the USCIS online account there was no Info of Card being produced. So don't worry if nothing happens online maybe you'll just have the card in the mail. USCIS online status updated I January to card was mailed.

Second it's been now a year living here and it was a very fast one. We had our court wedding and moved in our new home, I got my job and a car, we had our wedding party and my family came over and then now we have a baby expecting in march this year. So many changes, so many tough days, stressful days and a lot of amazing days.

I hope you all are doing great too and hopefully you will get your cards soon. If you're having a glass in your hand while reading this... cheers to many more great years and lots of love..

     its been  8 months!!!

it sucks, right? :( I looked at the processing times in Houston field office and theyre still working on Nov 2016.

i tried calling USCIS and asked for a Tier 2 officer but they won't transfer me. They said the officer will just tell me the same thing.

  3. anyone else still waiting? Case Is Ready to be Scheduled For An Interview since March. No update since then. I filed in San Francisco then moved to Houston so locel field office is now Houston. I keep on checking for an infopass appointment for my field office but it says no current appointment available. I have been checking for a month and it never change! its just frustrating....

    Btw, happy 2018 everyone!

    Hi everyone!

I had an infopass appointment today at the field office in San Diego and thought I'd share some info with you that might be interesting.

The officer said that currently a lot of the I-485 are taking so long to have an interview scheduled because each field office in the U.S. had to send some employees into the hurricane affected areas. A lot of the staff is currently not working at the field offices on immigration cases anymore. So if you are as unlucky as me and the officer that has your case has been helping in Texas for the past five weeks, chances are you're not going to have your interview anytime soon. The officer at the field office was so nice and said he would try to get my case out of the locked department from the other officer and see whether he can give it to an officer that remained in San Diego, but if I didn't go to talk to them it would still be locked away just sitting in the drawer of an officer that is gone.

After a few questions the officer looked through my case and said that I have a pretty straight forward and easy case since I came on a K1 visa and in fact offered that if me and my husband wanted, he would get my papers that are locked away in his co-workers office and just conduct my Greencard interview today (no kidding!). Unfortunately we didn't gather any bonafide papers yet and both had to get to work so we had to decline... :( What I thought was interesting though is that the officer said that he's sure that if my husband had gone to my K1 interview with me, that I would've not needed this interview. He said they probably just want to talk to him now... which makes the rumour true that people from low fraud countries that both go to the K1 interview likely end up getting a waiver.

    Anyways...just wanted to share!

Aww thanks for sharing! Thats cool! I just moved from San Francisco to Houston. I might get and infopass appointment also then 😁

I had my interview today in the San Diego office and got approved right there.

the only reason i am posting here is to tell how I think I finally got my interview scheduled.

I called and asked for an level 2 rep and asked him to file an service request to the San Diego office which I have the right to do after waiting for so long. This request forces the office then to act and answer via email how long they believe it will take for me to get an appointment. Lucky me they invited me right away.

Easy work it was thanks for the fun readings here.

Cool. Maybe I should do that too..its been 183 days since last update on my case.

are they nice when you ask for a tier 2 officer?

    btw, congratulations!

Hello ladies! So I actually also am in the same boat. I have yet to hear any updates on our case. We filed 2/14. He received his EAD in April and biometriocs was in march.

I called a tier 2 officer last week and he gave me information. He told me that our case is waiting to be scheduled for an interview. However, the website still shows an update from February 17!

i hope we all get updates soon!

Hi everyone. My husband called USCIS because it's been six months since we submitted our case with no news. They said it's too early to report a problem, and that we have to wait six months until anything has happened with our case, meaning biometrics in march. So we have to wait more. Still no news. He has his EAD and we applied for his AP for December so hopfully that works out.

Also I get an email from Visa Journey saying that I should update my timeline because based on their timelines my husbands interview should have been in June. Which it obviously was not. Just annoying to be reminded by them to update things when thre haven't been any.

Anyone else still in the same boat with nothing since fingerprints?

same here. filed 3rd week of February. Bitometrics was in March.

Then March 29th, case was updated to, "Case ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" but since then no updates. No letter of interview date, been waiting...

EAD and AP received on May..

Is it still possible to skip the interview even with the "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview" status? And how many more days weeks months to wait 😫

    Hey everyone,

I got my EAD in the mail on may 12th at 3pm. Drove to the Social Security office right away to apply for my SSN, because I hadn't gone yet and my i-94 was expired. Then I got home and bought bus tickets to head back to Montreal the next day. I just wanted to visit home as soon as possible so that I could come back to the states and focus on applying for jobs.

Getting back in the states was very easy. I got pulled aside but I wasn't questioned about my intentions or my life in America. I got my picture taken and fingerprints, that's all. The agent verified my address and stapled a little paper in my passport for the next time I decide to go back to Canada. He said I can visit as much as I want with my EAD/AP, but that I will have to do the extra screening every time.

Figured I'd let you guys know about my experience because I was a little stressed out when I got to the border.

    Cool! Thank you!

    Interview Experience

We went to our interview and the Interviewer was really nice. He asked us how we met, then, he said, do you have any updated documents, I gave him the joint income tax that we filed for 2016. Then he asked my wife a series of questions from the initial form we submitted. Like "if you're a terrorist or held a gun or bringing goods for sale" and so on, just answerable by yes or no. Then he did something on the computer and told us that, I don't see any problem here, and I'll approve your application pending the background check. Background check is for 24 hours, so he said, he can approve our application tomorrow and we should be getting my wife's green card within 2 weeks.

Finally we can stop stressing lol.

    Good luck everyone!

    Congratulations!
