Please add me too! Received email today that our AOS was transferred to CSC. However, I didn't get any RFEs. This is good, right?

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!
Our baby was born today in dumaguete we named her cheyanne ariel she was born between 1am & 2 am phil time.
Only surprise is the
Dr. that did the ultra sounds kept saying boy so we bought all boy clothes and i was just about to paint the nursery blue.
I am so happy everything is ok now i can relax a little, i've been so nervous unable to be there during the delivery.
Now just waiting for our interview and bring my girls home.
Congratulations gobdogman! Happy New Year to you and your girls!

sbqwolf called my attention to my not working links (in my signature). I uploaded the links in a different site so here they are again.
Note for the CFO stamp (if you went to the seminar before your interview):
> photocopy your certificate of attendance. They will ask for a photocopy when you get your stamp. That way, you don't have to go outside to photocopy it and lose your place in line.
> your fiance will not be allowed to go inside the CFO building with you when you go there to get your stamp.
Note for the Interview:
> for the finger scanning, they were calling out the names on the day i had my interview. Others said that their numbers were flashed in the queue boards. So whichever way they do it, bottomline is one has to pay close attention.
USE layout / interview experience
hope this still helps.

Congratulations to all who got their interview dates and to those who got approved.
Merry Christmas VJ friends!

So if you picked up the packet then you would have to go somewhere to make a copy? Is there an office services place near St. Lukes where you can find a copy machine?
yes and yes. there are many small businesses across the street from st. luke's offering various services like passport pics, photocopying, etc.
-
So if you tell the guard you are at St. Lukes to pick up the packet, how does he know you are not really there to take the medical exam? Can't you pick up the packet the same day you take the medical exam?
actually you can have your medical the same day you pick up your packet. when i picked up my packet, the nurse asked me if i wanted to have my medical exam that day. but since it was too early to get my medical done (the nurse's advice was to wait until one month before my interview), i declined.
then again, if you want to have your medical the same day you pick up your packet, you have to go back to the guard and ask for the forms that needs to be filled up. when you go back to them, they'll ask to see your appointment letter and they'll ask for a photocopy.
-
Ok, so now I am confused. You need to bring the appointment letter and a copy? I thought that if you didn't get the packet 4 you could pick it up at St.Lukes. How can you do that if you didn't get the appointment letter in the first place?
i called saint luke's and told them that i will pick up my packet. at that time, the waiting was just driving me crazy so i decided not to wait for the packet. if you are just going to pick up the packet, the guards at St. Luke's will let you in. you just need to show a valid ID. but, if you're there for your medical, they will not let you in without the appointment letter.

hi! my answers are in bold letters.
Hello to all,I know many are going nuts getting ready for there big day. We are trying too get all our things done as well.
On the example copy of the DS-156, we had questions about the following line numbers:
21: Present Occupation: she is not working, what should we list her as?
just say unemployed. that's what i wrote in my form as i have resigned from my work already long before the interview date.
22: When do you intend to arrive in the U.S.?: It says: When visa is granted. What should she put there? She has a February 1st interview date, but sure we don’t know when she will arrive.
if you haven't booked a flight yet, that answer is fine.
28: Who will pay for the trip? it says: myself But if i pay it will she list: My fiancé
tell her to put your name, not just "my fiancé"
33: Do you intent to study in the U.S.?: She wishes too go too school, but at this time we don't know yet where she will start to study. Should she still say YES and if so what should be put in that box? But she wishes too work also, but she already listed that on line 32.
just mark X on both boxes (intend to study and intend to work)
Thanks too all for your help and god bless you all!
Victor

Where can we get the REAL requirements for CFO, Medical Exam, and Interview? Please don't list a another experience, I'm getting dizzy reading them and trying to figure out which is right.
LOL. The REAL requirements are probably found by clicking on the links in Uling's signature for the government agency web sites and determine the requirements as they apply to you. That's what I did, and then read the experiences to see if they matched-up with what I understood after reading the mumbo-jumbo on the web pages. But then I'm on AR, so maybe me and the three other lawyers that went over our application don't know squat.
Well, if you read sillygirl's account she says you need your Appointment Letter (original and copies) and 3 passport-sized (2x2) photos , but when I called St. Luke's last week to check on available dates they told me to just bring the passport and one 2x2 photo. I've seen other accounts stating that you need 7 passport-sized (2x2) photos at St. Luke's.
you will need 3 passport size pics for St. Luke's. One to be attached to the form and the remaining two will be asked when they release the result, just like what Elizabeth says.

Haven't been online lately and boy, is this thread busy! And I have to admit, I have been just a silent lurker before that.
I just can't contain myself right now. Everyone's happiness is sooo contagious!
Congatulations Fmerz and roymcn3rd for visa approval. And all the others that I failed to mention.
And to those who got their interview dates, party time! Woohoo!!!
Special mention to LuzyC. I'm so happy for you.

The search button on VJ works very well for your question.
I know that but i wrote that I put it in the another forum but i didn't know how to delete a post hence, the double posting.
and i asked John & Annie before i got/read riblet's reply.
I just want to explain where I'm coming from.
cheers!

It took me several readings but I finally figured it out - I think
Where it says skip to Part 7 - I think you are supposed to finish the rest of Part 3, but skip Part4, 5, 6.
I think maybe the example has some errors - it doesn't even have Part 7 filled out, which is the part for Advance Parole.
thanks riblet! i couldn't have figured out that one by myself! my brain is just fried right from filling up all the forms and getting everything together.
thanks again.

Hi!
I read the guides and looked at the sample I-130 form. http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-131.pdf
in part 3, after question #3, it says that If you are applying for Advance Parole Document, skip to part 7.
But in the sample form, numbers 4 & 5 were answered also.
Do I also answer #s 4 & 5 or skip them and go to part 7? I'm so confused. I want to get everything right before I mail all the forms.

Oooopps, I probably posted this in the working and travelling forum. Still, any input will be much appreciated.

Thank you all!
1HappyGuy, did you pick MORE THAN ONE TRIP? And did you attach a separate sheet for the explanation?
-
Hi all! I need some help.
Reading through the threads, I saw that there is really no pattern for the approvals of AOS. We are planning on going back home and have a church wedding in April or July 07 and I am not confident that we will be approved in time.
That being the case, do I apply for the AP at the same time that I file the AOS or wait till I get a NOA1 for the AOS and then file the AP?
Do I check one trip or more than one trip for question #7 of I-131? Can anyone post a sample of the separate sheet of paper that asks for an explanation?
Thanks in advance.

Don't forget you must send 2 photos of your husband also in the I-485
Good Luck!
I'm a little confused...
my husband is the USC, do i need to send his picture also?
no, you don't
Thanks!
That had me worried.

The visa is on the passport and it is not inside the brown envelope. She just needs to present her passport with visa when she gets the CFO sticker. You're on the final stretch! Yeah!
