NO VISA 221g.....
Well Lorna was refused a visa. They said she needs a co-sponsor. Even though my property assets were way over the minmum allowed for property assets.

My craft business has been really bad the last couple of years so my income is way below minimum. Thats why I used property assets.

And the CO was talking to her about how would I support us and how could she even afford the plane ticket.

Thing is a co-sponsor has nothing to do with my income and how I will support us. That is just to take care of public charge stuff.... which my property assets could have done.

Bummer is I have no one to be a co-sponsor. I don't know what to do now.

My spirit is really hurting. All that time, work and effort....and stress. Now this. Wow.

With regards to the proof of ongoing relationship, it's actually the pre-screener who asks for those. He/or she will let you know how much he/she needs. Then when you go to the consul, he/she will return those to you.

Quick question to those who have gone with the interview process...When the consul ask for documents of on-going relationship or bona-fide relationship ( I know we need to present letters/cards, emails, phone call logs, etc... ); we made copies of all those documents...should we provide the copies and show the originals OR just show the original documents? If COPIES only, how many ( just average ) you will show to the Consul? Can you give the whole stack of copies?

If your fiancee has never been married, then you can just write NONE to Other surnames used and Other first and Middle names used (which I think is number 8 & 9).

I am requesting your comments and guidance about a question I have on surnames in the Philippines on the DS 156 form.
Questions 18 (Other Surnames) and 19 (Other First and Middle Names Used).

Since the last name of the mother becomes the part of the name of the child, should you list the mother's surname in question 18 or 19 for your fiancée?

(Yes I used the search feature, most the results were about married surnames, and hits on name checks, LOL, so any clarification would be appreciated).

Hey, skeeter211 finally woke up! About the annotated certificate, I'm afraid you need to have that on your interview or else you'll be put on AR. That happened to Patiently Waiting. You can check with her when she comes back. I hope you get it in time.

For those of who don't know, there are "consolidators" or "bucket shops" that buy international airline tickets only in bulk from the various airlines, then resell them to the flying public. These usually have several "representatives", which are usually a home based business kind of deal. There is some risk involved, but I have never had a problem using them. There are some serious restrictions using them, like not being able to reschedule your flights without some serious penalties. Also they will sometimes not be able to give you the dates you want. During the high seasons, like Christmas, you can forget it, they don';t have any tickets to sell. The one I use most of the time is JJ Bargain Travel. It is owned a fil-am couple in Brea, CA. The seats and everything is else is the same as buying from a travel agent or the airlines themselves, including using your frequent flyer miles number
