  1. Wow... just... wow. I was JUST bitching today about how I sent my I-129F packet out two weeks ago yesterday and that I was wanting my NOA1, and I told my Réjean to hold on while I check my mail, and 'lo and behold, there it is.

If I get this worked-up over my NOA1, I'm probably going to have a heart attack when I get the NOA2. *LoL*

Oh man... *flipping out in joy*:dance::dance:

That;s great news.. I know its just the first step, but CELEBRATE!

It gives me hope too. Mine petition arrives at TSC the day yours arrives at NSC. I'm checking the mail soon!

  2. I sent my application in July 6 and got an NOA1 date of July 31. My VJ estimate is Dec. 1. I'm not sure why there is so big a difference in estimated processing time. Perhaps the VJ estimates are still based on NSC vx. TSC vx. CSC. My expectation is that all three will converge as the backlog is worked off.

Could it have to do with the old vs new IMBRA form? I believe the new form came out shortly after you sent yours in? The estimation may include time for the RFE? I doubt the VJ timeline is that sophisticated to allow for such variables. Maybe.

  3. Hey everyone ! We had our interview in Vancouver on Sept.7th and picked up our visa's that afternoon :D What an experience all of this has been!! I wanted to post to take a minute to thank everyone here for all the help and wisdom during the last few months. This really is a great source for information .. without it this process would have been much harder. I posted more details in the Canada specific part of the forum if anyone else is going to have an interview in Vancouver. Anyways .. Thank You all again so much :luv: And the best of luck to those of you still waiting :star:

Congratulations! Enjoy your life together! (F)

  4. Gurdip,

Your Nebraskan file will be sent to California (CSC). CSC is currently processing files from March due to the IMBRA law delays. We hope that this backlog will clear and the original 90-120 day processing time will return shortly. Having said that, USCIS is currently advising their service levels state 6 months and anything sooner than 6 months should be considered a bonus.

I would estimate 4 months for you, but only time will tell.

I think that you gave Gurdip a reasonable and sound answer, but I would add only as a disclaimer that each case is unique and some cases require RFEs and have other glitches that can add to the time. Some petitions are not as straight forward as others to process and approve.

  5. I've seen the VJ of my estimated processing date extend out about a month recently. I believe what VJ does is take recent average wait data, and apply it to all those waiting. Tom

You may be right, but my VJ timeline is shortening. I mailed the petion 2 weeks ago to TSC and the time estimated at that time an approval date of Dec 23. Now it estimates approval by Dec 11.

When I want to view timelines similar to mine, it seems to connect me to only TSC petitioners with Morocco as the consulate. The consulate shouldn't make a difference at the USCIS level should it? And since all TSC and NSC K-1 petitions are forwarded to California, shouldn't CSC times impact my VJ estimation?

I am curious how VJ calculates the timeline. Maybe Capt Ewok will come to the rescue?

Meanwhile today is day 11 of USCIS having possession of the petition (15 days since mailing) and I am still waiting for the check to be cashed. Based on VJ estimations the average wait for NOA1 is approx. 14 days...so hoping any day now --maybe the end of next week????? :clock:

  6. gee can't even do any housework without the conspiracy nuts generating more #######

    here's a hint for you - i'm usually logged into vj ;)

all you have to do is check my profile and it will show last online is a time quite close to the current time. keep checking that and you'll see that time changes even though i'm not posting. when you need more lessons let me know

It is possible that you have more than one PC in your house

ETA: oh I just fulfilled icey's prediction LOL

to finish that thought, not just two pc's but two different isp's. so why would i double my internet bill? just to fool a few people? nice try..........

actually would all you need is one computer with two windows opened to VJ- log in as one ID on one and the other ID on the other?

  7. I know it normaly doesn't mean much but I just got my first touch since early July! I have a very good feeling about this!!

Holding my breath for you the two of you....come CSC these people deserve an approval!

How long are you going to hold it????/ lol

still holding....blue is a color that suits the pinkish undertones of my skin....but its getting difficult so where is YOUr approval!!!!

  8. And thankfully, I've come full-circle and am back to my normal optimistic self. But, I'm sure everyone here can attest to having some days where the frustration is just unbearable. And I'm sure, as devilette alludes to, those days only become more fequent the longer you've waited. But that doesn't mean that everyone isn't entitled to having those days.

Just to let you know you are not alone in your sentiments in the original post on this thread. Last night I found jealousy creeping into my head. And it is exactly as your said- you don't wish to take away the happiness for two people being able to move through this process quickly. I feel really happy when I read the recent approvals coming through- especially for these march filers finally getting some action. BUT jealousy is still there on the days i am feeling frustrated and missing my fiance. One emotion exists right along side with the other.

I like how Iceyspots called it a pity party. This forum allows us to come here and whine a bit, get some support and then move on and get back to our normal selves.

Last night was a little frustrating. This morning things are better. up and down seems the be the normal emotional behavior in this process. (Iceyspots may be the exception- she's my role model for optimism and postive energy! Cheers to you Icey! )

I work with a woman from the Ukraine who came here in 1998 on a fiance visit. Her family was in Germany. Her fiance was in the US, so she spend a lot of this time waiting without close family support. She told me that after she arrived in the US, she and her husband often remembered the frustrations and waiting in a sweet positive way. Something they could laugh about- a memory of their early relationship. It was great to hear this from her. reasuring in a way- if that makes any sense.

Here's to quick reunions across the board-

off to work now...hoping to see Iceyspots and GaryC's approvals posted later tonight!!!!!

  9. after a very long battle, I have finally received a date for my immigration interview. Does anyone else have a date set for Friday October the 13th? With working full time and going to school full time I can't believe I made time to post! So apologies if someone else has already posted this.

My friend had her green card interview on a friday the 13 and was approved...it means good luck in the visa world :P
