You will still see 3rd N/A if NVC completes your case and even if you have checklist for interview.

I didn't know that I was supposed to send the documents before I fill out the application. Should i?

I needed a confirmation, I think someone did answer this for me before but I forgot. I am sending just the tax transcripts and not the 1040 or W2, should I mark the 1040 and W2 as unavailable or not applicable in this case?

Also I have a cover letter that I created with all the documents, should I put that on top of the document cover letter or after it? Also I am using a co-sponsor, should I put all of mine and his documents in the order they asked for, for example put my i-864 and his i-864A and then both our tax transcripts and so on, or should I do separate order of his and my documents, such as my i-864 then my tax transcripts and so on and then begin with his? Or it doesn't matter?

Yes you should mail the documents. You don't have to wait till you fill DS-260 online. Just check whatever documents applies to you and rest you can mark as not applicable.

You can keep your tax forms together with your AOS and then have co sponsors documents. I don't think the order matters for this situation.

it takes 5-7 days to have your tax transcripts mailed and if you know someone at the last address who can help forward you the mail or you can inform the post office to forward your mail, that could help too.

As for W2s, yep they certainly can help.

So update on my case, saw the AOS fee as PAID (2 business days), just paid the IV fee, so hopefully in 2 days time, I see it as paid. Will wait and then call them if I don't see it as paid on the 3rd day (meaning on thursday of this week). It should happen right?

Usually it goes to paid in 2 to 3 business days. Hope you sent your AOS and IV package to NVC. Once your IV fee goes to paid your DS-260 form will get unlocked.

I have been having a problem requesting it online because I don't have any proof that they need. I paid off my credit cards before this whole process thinking they would look at my credit haha. But if it only says I need 2015's W2, it should be ok, right? Just the W2. Sorry! getting that letter has made me even more nervous haha

I will let dwheels76 or other people on this forum answer this question. I think you should be fine once you have W2 since NVC only asked for this. But I am not really sure about this. Also you can order your tax transcript by mail. l know Tax transcripts are always safe.

Thank you dwheels76! I just found our w2's so I am not going to be ordering any Tax Transcripts anymore. Going to send copies to my husband. Should I get a Tax Transcript still? I do have our w2 and tax return 1040.

You can just download transcripts online. It's very quick and easy. Tax transcripts includes everything. It's totally up to you.

What is the scan date? Our case is a Uk one, and a scan has not been mentioned yet :$ I've been told I can't book in for a medical until I have my interview date.... But I still haven't had case complete but hubby is calling later for an update

Did you submit your AOS and IV package to NVC? Scan date is the date NVC received and scanned your package into their system. When you call them they will let you know the date they received your package, that should be your scan date.

Hey my interview is scheduled on august 19th at Mumbai Consulate, my question here is whether do i have to complete my biometrics ie: fingerprint and photos in the same embassy on the same date or do i have to schedule an appointment by going to the usa travel docs website. i have already scheduled an appt at the mumbai consulate to be on a safer side for my biometrics. but was really confused. can i complete my biometrics at my home city and attend the interview in mumbai?

You have to schedule a separate appointment by going to USA travel docs website. Once you fill in the details it will select the location for Biometric appointment (it will be Mumbai) you can't change this, but you can select any time. You will get appointment confirmation page which you will have to bring in at the day of biometric. We scheduled ours couple days before our interview. Good luck!

Finally got a hold of NVC to confirm my case complete. Submitted on July 19th, received an email confirming receipt on the 22nd and case complete on the 26th. Interestingly NVC told me my case was complete on the 26th, but I had 3 N/As on the 25th when I checked. In any case, a ridiculously quick NVC turn around. No interview date yet and I'm guessing it will be a bit with being in Brasil and the Olympics coming up.

in my opinion, they have already made the decision about your case. I think they may have even printed the visa. You will notice that once your interview is completed....that same day your status will change to Issued. 2 days later, you'll have your Passport with Visa in hand.

It so funny.. i have been paitent from sonlong but now when i am waiting for my cc. I am kinda loosing it.. scan date 07/18/2016.. god please give me more patience.

I know, I went through the same thing. I got so impatient and nervous during the time of cc. Hang in there you will get your's in few more week.

Received my visa today, 3 days after interview , flights are now booked, POE will be LAX next Friday!! A big thank you to everyone here in VJ, I don't know where I would be without the wealth of help and information I have received along the way, even for my pesky and silly questions at times

Invoice ID number is not your date of birth. It will be given on your welcome letter along with the case number. Use that as IIN and try to login to ceac.

This was eating me up yesterday lol...You know I thought Mexico started giving out dates but it doesn't seem like it because in another group in FB(Mexican filers) none have posted about any interviews! They're asking when will they start? So I guess they haven't started. Hope today is the day

Awesome! Now you don't have to worry about if you got CC or if it is supervisor review. If you had 3rd N/A then surely it is CC. I haven't seen any Mexicans getting interview date recently. So yeah surely you will get it soon.

My case got approved the 19th of July, it has not received NVC as yet. I am preparing in advance. I am preparing for the IV package have everything up to the police report, but my passport is in my maiden name, I won't be able to get my passport in my marriage name until the 24th of August and I am preparing in case the IV package is to be submitted before then. I dont want to delay the process by waiting until I get my new passport. That is why I am asking can I submit the change of name after my IV package is submitted. I was told I would have to pay $450 to change my green card from my maiden name to my marriage name. I would like my green card in my marriage name without having to slow down my filing process.

I would suggest you to call NVC and ask. It is better you change your name during this process it is much easier and you will have your visa issued with the married name. Once you call NVC and let them know about the change they will ask you to send an email with the proof I believe. I do not know if this will slow down the process since you are not going to have your passport till August 24th. My question would be what are you going to fill in for DS-260 form under the passport detail?
