@eljourney So your spouse traveled to Canada by car with his passport and the i-551 stamp and entered without problems!?!?!?
Please confirm me because I'm in the same situation, don't have my GC yet and have to travel to Canada by car next month. If you can give me any advice I'll be pleasure.

Yes we traveled to Canada by car with passport and i-551 stamp without any issue back in Oct 2016. We also took the other documents with us(just in case), but they only asked for passport and looked at the i-551 stamp.

  2. Hello,

My spouse just came to US on CR1 visa and has i-551 stamp on the passport. While we wait on the green card (which might take up to 120 days) we have to visit some family in Canada(We will be travelling by car). So my question is "will my spouse be able to travel Canada with I-551 stamp (Indian passport) or does my spouse need a visa to travel to Canada?"

"If my spouse is able to travel Canada on I-551 stamp then do we need eTA?"

    Thanks in advance

  3. Hi good night how's everyone doing can someone please tell me the link to track your green card thank you

Even I am trying to find out how to track green card. I know you can use this link: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and use case number from your green card fee receipt which starts with IOE**********

Not sure if there is any other way to dertmine how long it would take to get a green card in hand. They usually say 120 days, but few have received theirs within 50-65 days.

  4. Hi Everyone,

the interview letter says that i should take to the interview the following can anyone please tell me?

    Document Name Document Status

    CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1

    1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2

That's the visa application DS-260 form which you submitted online. Just take the DS-260 confirmation page to the interview. The letter next to it states which application you need to take to interview. You just have to match the document status code definition to determine the meaning of the code.

Looong wait but only got asked two questions specific to my case. So happy very happy!

    1. How did you meet your husband

    2. When did your husband go to the US

    They asked everybody these questions:

    1. Have you ever been outside your country

    2. Have you ever been arrested

    3. Who is filing for you

Can't wait to be with him (L)

    Congratulations Keas!!!

  6. Quick review of my Interview. I will be posting full review soon. So the interview went very smooth. Our interview was at 7:30 and we got out by 8:45.

CO asked who is calling you? (My wife)

    What does she do?

    Which state does she live?

    What do you do?

    Does she cook?

Which is your favorite food that she cooks?

    Does she watch TV? (yes)

Which is her favorite show? (Game of thrones)

Do you watch Game of thrones? (yes, Did not miss any episode)

Did you read the book? ( He said No)

    You are Approved!

And CO was very friendly and before leaving he told him do read the book once. LOL

I think our CO was GOT fan too :D

I Thank God for everything. The process was so smooth and they did not even ask for Photographs/ Proof of relationship. Also, they did not ask for any AOS related documents except for W2 (This was not really required don't know why she asked. But they returned it back).

For those having the interview soon. Stay confident and it will all go smooth.
