You are right on that. My wife doesnt speak english much and did not pay attention for the letter.

the website still says the interview is schedule for October 19.

I see that so many cases people suck on the “interview schedule” thing. I hope it wont take that long. Some people waited 14 months.

2.5 weeks later, got an email oath ceremony will be scheduled. Thats it we are all done with uscis

Uhhh did she ask the officer before leaving if it was in error? That question should have been risen in the room.

Maybe your case had issues. In 2018, my wife got her green card in 2 weeks. My wife's paperwork journey from VN to USA has been much faster than others. It is case by case.

We did not have an issue. You can look at the cases in 2017 in visa journey. All of us waited at least 1.5 years to get the green card in the USA. Not only us. Yet, most of us praying to wait 2 years so we can get 10 years GC instead of 2.

For example, as you see some fillers got their green card in 76 days. Is this because you have a problem? Do We have a problem? No. Some people get lucky.

Also most Aslyum seekers already got their Green cards in 2 years.

At that time I spoke the secretary of Obdusman in Tennessee. She told me less people assigned to these marriage visa cases and thats why it is taking time. You cant get clear info even you speak with tier 2 but Obdusman can get more clear information. Thats what she said in 2017.

Well with COVID and the furloughs, it's been a mess. They've always been kinda messy. Even though they're a government agency, they don't get money from the government. Yes, there are a lot of immigrants and yes, we all pay the fees. But the fees are not just for the USCIS employees and immigrants only make up a certain slice of the entire US population. The fees need to cover physical building and real estate costs, security measures, and the usual costs of running any business. One I-751 application right now is less than $700. I make more than that in one week at my current job. These guys are federal agents trying to uphold national security. As incompetent as they can be sometimes, they do need a LOT more money than what they're getting right now if they want to perform at the levels that most people think they should be operating at.

the problem is the I have spoken some people inside that majority of immigration officers are taking Asylm cases at first. Before Trump any illegal immigrant can apply Asylum and obtain work permit 4 years while waiting the Asylm court date. Now, Asylum applicants can get a court rate almost in 2 years. So our cases n400 or 758 whatever got stuck somewhere in the system.  N400 or 758 are NOT priority any more with Trumps administration. %75 percent of immigration officers working only for Asylum cases. This is the problem. In 2010 I got my green card in 3 months got my citizenship in only 2 months in 2015.

  5. As of 05.21 am the new card is being produced.

If I went to the interview with my wife it would be slightly easier.

Yes it it is not common that the IO would only take the beneficiary to the interview.

Also just  a question. Who is is working at the uscis office in 5 o’clock in the morning.?? Looks like the uscis is open 24 hours a day.It is interesting. :)

  6. We had an interview today. It was interesting.

The IO only called my wife not both of us . Isnt that strange? I said my wife doesn’t speak English and he said with smiling face I speak Turkish. She went to the room by herself. He only asked some questions like are you terrorist etc and address and my mother names date of birth.

The interview took only 7 minutes and she was out. He did not say anything. Thank you very much and have a good day.

Is it normal? Usually both married couples go to the interview room. If it was stoke interview I should be called too that what I was expecting but I was not called either.

My my wife doesn’t speak good English and she came here with K1 visa. Our application was with uscis since June 1th 2017. 17 months.

Also so he did not look at ANY photos bank statements etc. Only passport and original of the marriage license. They already have some photos in the file. I have sent them while working on aos 2017.

    What do you guys think?

  7. No it can not be waived. We all have to wait 3 years for the citizenship. I am in the same boat. I have to wait 3 year after you got my green card.  Also you don’t know when you will get it. Not everybody gets their card in two weeks after the interview. Some folks wait more than 5 months after the interview. Of course it is case by case but still.

I did did my interview today and it is was weird. They called only my wife not me. Very simple questions. However still there is no any update yet. We don’t know when they will issue the green card.

    Just got our interview date!

Apparently, our change of address did not take effect that we did online as it still went to our old address and then was forwarded here. Kind of worried about that now.

Question/confirmation - so I know after 2 years we can do the removal of conditions after 2 years, but the waiting time for this interview(It's been 18 months since we filed) does this time count? I am tired of applying for Visa's when we want to go somewhere is the only reason I am ready for her to get further into the process for her US passport. Waiting 18 months, just to start the 2-year wait for removal, then another year to apply for citizenship kind of sucks.

Removal is 10x easier. Nothing special. No interview etc unless you are divorced. Most applicants send this documents via usps and receive their green cards. If it takes longer you get a temp stamp at the uscis office

so don’t worry about removing conditions on your card. It is not important.

But it we all lost 15 months citizenship process. 2019 we all could apply for citizenship. That’s what we lost.

  9. Hello

we did the interview today. The interesting part was they only took my wife inside not both of us. Interesting right. He asked when we got married date of birth mother names etc. He also asked those yes no questions to my wife. The interview took less than 10 minutes. My wife doesn’t speak English so it could take longer. After that he said to my wife thank you and she was out. He did not say anything. He was pretty nice and calm.

Is is this mean yes we are approved. This was very interesting. At the first time I thought we are going to be interviewed one by one . I don’t care but the interviewer said you are good to go.

How long does it take to know if my application approved .
