  1. Well 10 days for a mailed in AOS/IV not yet. That 8 to 10 days are the EP countries.

Unless you had an expedite that 30 to 45 days will apply. Of course you are always free to call as much as you want.

But I would also keep an eye on the ceac screen for that 3rd N/A. The AOS changing from PAID to N/A is CC.

Just hang on you just started. But at day 30 I would be mindful of that status.

The CC email comes 7 days after you get case compkete.

    Thanks!!!!

I'll keep an eye on that. :clock::cry:

  2. It might be pointless to post this, but anyway... It's been 10 days since my IV/AOS packet was received at NVC. I received the e-mail from them saying that they will review it "within 30 days" since 8/16. Now, would it be too early to call NVC to check if it has been reviewed? I've heard of instances in where they are not so consistent with sending their e-mails and whatnot, so you won't really know if it has been completed or not. Also, I've seen other timelines in where there has been a CC within 8-10 days of the packet being scanned (I'm not saying that it might be my case, but who knows... it might take longer, I don't know.) But yea, I'm getting a bit anxious with this, what if I get an RFE? I would rather know so I can try to fix things as soon as it comes up.

By the way, congrats to those who have gotten a Case Complete and interviews set up!

I can't wait to get to that stage. :clock:

  3. im trying to calculate the same thing !! i Just sent my documents today, and am hoping im one those lucky cases that only wait 3-4 weeks to receive an interview date!! fingers crossed

I just got a letter from them saying that they are "experiencing a high volume of incoming mail, but that they'll review the documents 30 days from the date my docs were received" Hopefully it'll be sooner than that!!!

But it seems that they give out the interview dates like 5-7 days from getting a case complete, at least for D.R.

  4. Hi,

Don't stress out. I did not get an email until 5 days of them receiving my package. I got it confirmed by calling them. I am not sure about your country but for me and most of the people applied for India heard in their 5th week about their CC.

I am not sure why you waited 3 weeks to send your package. Yes, they need DS 260 before they start reviewing and schedule your appointment but generally they don't start reviewing right away once they get the package. Anyways, have patience and all will be good at the end.

    All the best!

Thanks!! I've learned to be very patient throughout this process... :clock:

Yea, I could have done a lot of things differently, but it's a bit too late now :cry:at least I'm at this stage now. I've been looking at the other timelines to see, but I don't recall as to how much they waited between scan date and CC.

    :)

  5. NVC may or may not email you saying that they received your documents, so it is always better to call them to be certain that your packets were received.

I called them, the call agent said that it might still be in their mail room (well, it literally got there this morning :P) so it's pending to be scanned in the system... She did tell me that they have been behind on sending e-mails to people to notify them, so she advised me to call back later in the week. I'll probably call them tomorrow or on Thursday..

  6. Another month... My IV/AOS packets arrived at NVC today (well, according to the mailing tracker), now I have to wait until I get the e-mail from them informing that they received it... :clock::clock::clock::clock::clock:

***Can I call them to ask if they have it? Or do I just wait until they email me? :/

  7. You can order them through here:

    https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Unfortunately I had to get them by mail; if you want to get them online (which would be way faster), one of the things they'll ask you is for your phone number. I have a shared phone account with my brother (account is under his name -_-), so when I typed in my number, it rejected it. But I got my transcripts by mail like 3-4 days later.

    Hope this helps!

  8. Go to the CC to interview September 2016 thread, check out the very first post by dwheels and follow the links there to the spreadsheet to get an idea of how long it takes on average from a CC to the interview being scheduled & the actual interview date

Just checked it! It definitely helped to have an idea as to how much I should expect in waiting time. :clock:

  9. I finally mailed my IV/AOS packet (after a few bumps on the road -_-) I know it can take 60 days or so for it to be reviewed and to possibly have my "Case Complete" (hopefully I won't get an RFE *crossing fingers*) but for those in the D.R, what was the average period you had to wait to get an interview date/or how soon did you get it??? :clock:

  10. You put the annual salary of your current job, not anything from the tax return (unless you're self-employed).

You need to use the "total income", which is line 22 on Form 1040. For 1040EZ, the "total income" and "adjusted gross income" are always the same, and the line is labeled as "adjusted gross income"; that's why you would get the "total income" from that line if you're using 1040EZ.

    Thank you for the clarification!!!

  11. Hiii,

I should have gathered my financial documents earlier in the process, well, I had most of them ready but there's some tweaking and correcting I have to do before I send it (this is causing a delay :crying::clock: )

Anyway, I have two questions that are confusing me a bit on the Affidavit. Both are from "Part 6. Sponsor's Employment and Income". Question 2. "my current individual annual income" I don't know what to exactly put here... I was told to put the total income (#22 from 1040), however, I began my current job July of '15, so obviously it doesn't technically reflect my "annual income". Now, should I add my annual gross amount based on what I really earn? (I have current paystubs and my employment letter, which only lists my gross biweekly earnings, but once calculated one will be able to tell how much I earn), or should I just stick with the total income (#22 from 1040)?

Also, questions 19 a-c, I know it mentions "total income (adjusted gross income form 1040ez)" I have 1040. I was also told to include amount #22, not the actual adjusted gross income...

These are probably common sense (and maybe Im overthinking them), but the person who's guiding me actually works with this and has helped families to bring their relatives to the U.S so I feel kinda bad if I question them, but Im just getting a bit paranoid and anxious with wanting to submit these forms ad not get an RFE...

    :help::help::help::help:

  12. I have a copy of the translations (from Spanish to English) that were sent with the I-130 form (for his birth certificate and our marriage certificate), I'm technically only missing the translation for his police certificate. So I'm guessing since it has been a while since those translations were made (in February) I would have to submit "current" translations....

I personally do not have an issue in translating them myself... I'm just trying to avoid getting any RFE's since that would delay the process. This is so overwhelming

This line is a bit confusing "All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which you are applying for a visa" I mean, the interview would be back in Santo Domingo, so the documents that are already in Spanish wouldn't need to be translated...
