  1. I'm looking at a copy I made of the I-131 and supporting documents.

    1. Application type: Picked the 4th option ( I am applying for an advanced Parole document to allow me to return to the US after temp. foreign travel.)

    2. Put K 1 Under "class admission"

    3. Submitted the following support docs:

    a. Copy of I-485 NOA1 & Transfer To TSC Notice

    b. Explanation of eligiblity & reason for traveling

    c. 2 identical passport photos

    d. Copy of k1 visa and I-94

Maybe they want a copy of the NOA2 for the K1 visa?? They keep talking about "petition".

We have an infopass appointment for next Monday. I just wish I didn't have to miss work. OH well :(

  2. I'm beating myself up right now over this. It's really all my fault. I decided to e-file because we could pay with a credit card and at that time, I was annoyed by my bank because they kept screwing up my last name (and I was unable to write checks). Stupid, stupid!!.

And no, we never found out why his AOS was transferred to TSC (one of the reasons why we scheduled the missinfopass a couple of months ago). :(

But I like I said, the letter still looks so weird to both of us. We just realized that the envelope, letter, and cover letter all have 3 different addresses. Also, why would they ask him send something to DALLAS when his application is in Mesquite....it just doesn't add up.

    Infopass time!

  3. My husband's I-485 is currently pending at TSC. He e-filed for AP abot a month ago, and just received a weird looking letter (Notice of Intent to Deny). Could this be an RFE?? He sent all the required supporting documents the very next day after e-filing. Someone please help! We have no idea what they're asking for :(

    Notice of Intent to Deny.

This office is unable to complete the processing of your application without further information. Please read and comply with the following request. Submit the requested evidence to the above address. The documentation should be attached together with the gold sheet on top. Failure to reply within 30 days may result in the denial of your petition.

Please submit proof that you have submitted an underlying petition such as an I-140 (Immigration Petition for Alien Worker), I-360 (Petition for Amerasian, Widower, Special Immigration) or I-526 (Immigration Petition by Alien Entrepreneur). If you are the derivative, please provide proof of the underlying petition (I-140, I-360, or I-526) for the Principle applicant.

I have no idea what they're asking for..... and let me just mention that the "above" address they speak of is a P.O. box in Mesquite, TX, while the gold sheet, has a P.O. Box in Dallas, TX. :crying:

  4. Phew, haven't been here for a while. Mainly to stop being jealous of MAY filers being approved.

What the...??? I haven't been back to the forum for awhile and now almost everyone seems to receive their Green Card. Where is mine?

no green card over here...TSC stands for "The Sucky Center"

We might be at TSC with you if my senator's office is correct. It has been 75 days since we filed and no word on a transfer or an interview. After hearing back from the senator's office, they said that it looked like our application was going to be sent to TSC. She said that is where it looks like most of the applications will be going to. As far as I have seen, you guys are the only ones that have gone to TSC, we are 'likely' to be going there, and everyone since have been sent to CSC. :help:

I wouldn't exactly call ourselves lucky. Texas is known for being the slowest service center in the entire country!!! If my husband had an interview instead of being transferred, he would probably be approved by now since he's not stuck in security check or any of that #######. AUGH. Back to avoiding visajourney.com

  5. Ok, now I'm getting frustrated. Everyone, please take a few seconds and stop jumping into conclusions!!

1- The missinfopass and call to missinformation line was about something else (USCIS had wrong A#). We just happened to ask about AP as a bonus.

2- The I-131 had already been e-filed BEFORE I created this topic.

3- I was NOT asking for advice on where to send the supporting documents for the I-131. Like #2, they had already been sent before this topic was started.

    and finally,

4- Supporting documents for e-filed APs are NOT sent to the Chicago lockbox. They're sent to the address in the E-file receipt, which I believe is probably unique for everyone, depending on their situation. We did send the supporting documents to right place, we have already received the NOA1 from TSC.

Now let's get back to the reason why I created this topic: Help e-filers whose AOS applications are currently pending at TSC.

We're here to help each other out, so please, let's try not to confuse one another....that's what USCIS is for

  6. 2.If you filed at a USCIS service center to adjust your status as a permanent resident, mail this application to that service center.
Where did you mail your AOS? You mailed it to Chicago I assume, so that is where you also mail the AP application also. Chicago transfered to TSC, you did not send AOS there, Chicago did, and perhaps TSC will then transfer it to CSC or perhaps your local office for an interview.

Send the I-131 to Chicago as per the instructions on the USCIS website I-131 page.

Ok, I think we're all talking about 2 seperate things. Firstly, the I-131 file had already been filed by the time I posted this topic. I wasn't asking where to send the actual I-131 form, I was talking about the SUPPORTING documents for I-131, not the actual AP application. The I-131 application was filed electronically, and electronically sent to TSC by USCIS, not by husband. The receipt from the I-131 said to send the supporting documents to the above address. So I wasn't really asking where to send the I-131, I was really venting about how frustrating finding this information was in hopes of saving others in the same situation some time.

Ok, I hope this clears things up a little bit.

  7. Is it important to have pics of the wedding? we do not have, it was a civil ceremony. :(

we have EVERYTHING that i read was needed/listed here but that is the only issue. Did anyone have the same "problem"

    please let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

    /PepeG.

That's assuming you'll even have to do an interview. It seems to me as though interviews are very rare nowadays. Just a personal observation...

  8. The e-file receipt was wrong too?? What the #######?? Now I'm totally confused. We already sent it to the address from the e-file receipt. The instructions for I-131 also says:

    Where to File.

    B. If you are in the United States and filing for an advanceparole document:

2.If you filed at a USCIS service center to adjust your status as a permanent resident, mail this application to that service center. The service center address is noted on the USCIS or former INS receipt related to the filing of your adjustment application. You can also obtain the service center address byvisiting the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov orcalling our National Customer Service Center at1-800-375-5283.

I kind of wasn't asking where to send it, since it was already sent 2 days ago. Oh well. It'll get to the right place eventually.

  9. AP is processed by a different department and separately than AOS, so should be sent to the Chicago address and they will forward it on to the appropriate department.
Effective December 1, 2004, if you are filing for advance parole, and are filing Form I-485 for family-based adjustment of status (other adjustment of status applications may be filed at the Chicago Lockbox, please refer to the November 19, 2004, Direct Mail Federal Register Notice for a complete listing of specific categories) AND live in any of the following states (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, as well as the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands of the United States), you will need to send your Form I-131 to:

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    P.O. Box 805887

    Chicago, IL 60680-4120

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

    Right.

"if you are filing for advance parole, and are filing Form I-485 for family-based adjustment of status"

  10. My hubby wanted to to mail in his AP application, but was unsure of where to send it. Misinfopass appointment said to send it to the Chicago Lockbox, Misinformation line said to send it to Baltimore (DO). They were both wrong. Surprise, surprise.

We knew it was TSC, but we were unsure of the correct P.O. Box. So after some researching, e-filing seemed like the right choice. Never in a million years would I have guessed what P.O. to use.

Anyway, just wanted to share this information. I don't think anyone else's I-485 is at TSC right, but things could change or something.

The transfer notice he received had the following address for TSC:

    Texas Service Center

    P.O. Box 851488 - Dept A

    Mesquite, TX 75185 - 1488

E-file receipt had the following address for TSC:

    USCIS Texas Service Center

    Attn: E-filed 1-131

    P.O. Box 852685

    Mesquite, TX 75185 - 2685

Oh, and YES, we know he should have applied for AP when he applied for AOS. But back in February, it seemed as though applications were flying though and since we're risk takers, we decided to take the huge gamble of waiting a few months before making uncle sam richer.

  11. I always wonder what kind of braniacs work for USCIS. They b*tch and moan about backlogs...if they just do their freaking job, the world would be a better place. Yes, your list of transferred cases will keep growing and growing and growing, like a big pile of dishes, unless you get off your lazzy bum and do something about it. How about approving more cases? What's the logic behind all this madness? Usually, when my work piles up, I try to work faster, like doing the dishes, the longer you wait to do them, the harder it'll be to wash them and the more they'll pile up. They wont get washed magically if you just sit there and stare.<end rant>

  12. Called USCIS to ask reason for transfer to TSC (following instructions given by idiotimmigration officer)....and....they told us to contact TSC, so we asked how to contact TSC and they told us they couldn't provide that information. So who the hell is supposed to provide us information? I feel like we're part of some form of twisted human ping pong, National Customer Service center (aka the 1800 number) vs Immigration officer (aka Infopass).
