It is quite possible. Did it with moms.
Does he have a pension or any form of monetary gain that would compel him to return t his country of origin?
Id steer away from mentioning visiting relatives as the main reason.. More like, tourism, getting to know the place in a temporary and short visit.. THEN mention visiting relatives if you want.
Of course any relatives need to be diclosed in the ds260.. what i mean is dont make it the reason to go.. and please! once the visa is granted and he is questioned when landing in the US, dont have him say he is coming to take care of grandchildren.. thats a no no. Hes coming to tour and to visit.

Hi all..
Married over 5 years. Im in Europe he is in the US. We had an argument this week end over a trivial matter I dont wish to elaborate on it. No cheating, no physical violence, no fraud, nothing like that. A really trivial thing. He was so upset he is not picking up the phone, nor reading my Tangos or any other app we use for that matter.
Plane is booked and hotel also to attend at consulate. Only 4 days to go, 2 days no contact. He has been like this in the past but cmon, this is our life together right here.
Do I go anyway? Do I cancel? God what do I do..
Now is NOT the time for this :(

I do want to thank you all for your replies. You really helped me and you really are a great community.
As mentioned by most of you, I did attend, he did come around after 3 days.
You are right and of course you understand where I am coming from when you mention stress and separation as being really hard on a marriage.
We have decided to go continue with the plan and get some marital counseling for that issue. It is impossible to have a long term relationship when you can't talk about important things out of fear of upsetting the other and being ignored.
I do thank you all for taking the time to read and reply.
Much love!
