Not yet. But many we know in the same situation have. And the lawyer we consulted with said that it is the norm.My lawyer said so. Did your husband's get approved?
-
Thanks for that info - based on the visajourney stats I might be in luck to make the wedding!! Unfortunately we can't apply for AP because I entered on a tourist visa...
Why do you think this? My husband overstayed his tourist visa and was still eligible to apply for ead and ap. Is there something that says you can't?

MASSACHUSETTS
Boston - I took my wife for her scheduled biometrics appointment on 1/14/14. In an effort to get some info for this thread I asked the woman at the front desk if they allow early walk-ins, this was her reply: "It depends on what the reason is. If you legitimately need to come at an earlier date they will allow it, but if you just walk in for no apparent reason, they may not."
Boston - Tried to do early walk in for my appointment in Lawrence, told them I worked in Boston and would have to take time off to go to Lawrence. They asked me if I couldn't make it on the original date, I said I could, just didn't want to take time off from work. They told me I'd have to come back on the day of my appointment, but I could do it in Boston. Still waiting to go back. - Not successful.Boston - I missed my 01/08/2016 appointment due to the info getting to me too late (got it on 01/11). Showed up at Center today (01/12/2016) with letter and ID, manager came over to sign off on late slip and let me in no problem. There at 8:45am, back out at 9:30am, not bad at all and ALL DONE.

Done and on my way home in less than 25mins! Was quite anxious beforehand as I'd heard bad things about Lawrence. But they were all friendly and really nice and accommodating.

Mine still hasn't updated. Has said fee accepted since March 15.
Received my I-765 today accepting the fee for biometrics and I-485. My I-693 will be ready from the Civil Surgeon this coming Wednesday. Does anyone have any advice on where it should be sent to? I can call the service center but wanted to ask here as well too as people may have some positive or negative experiences to share on this topic. Also how long is the Fee for Biometrics acceptance status on the case status page been running before being updated to the next step? Thanks bunches for the help.

Husband had a successful early walk-in for his biometrics in Holtsville, NY today. I was pleasantly surprised that it was all so easy. There was literally not one single person in the waiting room. We were in and out in ten minutes. They asked for a reason and I said that I had to take off work today for his doctors appointment and was hoping not to miss two days of work.
-
Glad you got it all worked out...Good luck with the future!
-
Not all jobs offer such a bad vacation policy. It usually depends on your skill level, and tenure. I work for a local government agency and receive 12 paid holidays, 18 paid vacation, 4 paid personal, 10 paid undocumented sick and unlimited paid sick time with a physicians letter. For every year you are here you are granted additional vacation time. As far as my field goes that is considered low. However, that would pretty much allow me to take a day off almost every week without an issue. It is just a matter of putting in your time and earning the better leave packages. It is not hopeless though.
-
My local field office is Holtsville, Long Island NY. It does not show up on the drop down menu for the timeline. Can it be added?
-
Has anyone had any experience with the Holtsville, NY field office. We have our bio appointment there 4/15. But with husbands heart attack and surgery last week I have taken so many days off of work and have already asked for two days that week for follow up doctor appointments. I am hoping to try and do a walkin on one of the days that week that I already had to take off.
-
Hope your husband is getting better after his surgery! Wish him all the best and a fast recovery!
I finally got my NOA lol! and since its in April, I am joining the April 2016 AOS Filers
cheers
Thanks for the wishes!! Wow...that took a long time. Did they give any explanation of the hold up? Best of luck...Hope everything else goes faster!
-
Praise God! Got our biometrics appointment today! It was a rough week. Husband had a heart attack and needed heart surgery. Thankfully he was added onto my health insurance when we got married last month. But this definitely helped to lift his spirits!
-
I put mine in the mail on 3/4 and did not get the texts/emails until the middle of the night on 3/16. So nothing at all to be worried about.
-
Was so excited to to go to the mailbox today after so many of you all get your bio appointments today! But nothing. Maybe tomorrow. I just can't wait for my husband to finally get through with all of this so he can feel some sense of permanency. He overstayed his visitors visa and really can't move forward with his life until every thing is resolved. I am so excited for him. Does that make sense?

-
ACH...have you heard anything yet? Haven't seen an update. Hope all is moving along!
-
It took 8 days for my electronic notification. And I got the hard copies 3 days later. So 11 days for me.
Hi everyone. I sent in my fiance's information on March 11th, and it was delivered on March 14th. We haven't received any messages from Chicago yet. It has been a week since it was delivered. Does anybody know how long it could take for us to get some kind of notification?
-
It's normal... mines says the same thing
Thank you! I am driving myself crazy second guessing every thing I did...
-
I have a question. I am finally able to see status of my cases online. All day case received blah blah... Except i485. That says fingerprint fee accepted. It doesn't say my i130 fee was accepted or my i485 fee was accepted. Is that normal? I'm second guessing my amounts that quadruple checked before sending.
-
I am finally able to see my case status online now too. Let the cyber stalking begin lol.
-
I ended up with different pics too. Because we had to renew passport at the same time and he used two that I had printed. Then we had to go back and get more.
Hahaha I only sent 5 pics... 1 for the for the I 131...and to make matters worst I got a 4 pack of pics...when back to see if I could get a same copy of the pics next day but they had already deleted it off ...so the i 131 is a different picture from the 4 pack.
-
The pics were really expensive! Plus I had to send my own and two extras of husband to go with I130 that we filed at the same time. Wish I knew about Costco then because I spent almost a hundred dollars for pictures that I kept thinking I could have done better at home.

I am so happy for everyone who is moving along! But completely understand everyone else's frustration. The case tracker shows my last update on 3/8! Telling us case was received will get a letter blahhhhhh blahhhhh blah. We had biometrics on 4/11. Then nothing. I wish it would at least have an updated date or something to acknowledge that it isn't sitting in a Corning holding the door open in the mail room. Lol. I'm going crazy!
