OK I just mailed in my I-129F with all the supporting documents yesterday Jun10th via certified mail to the Texas Service Center in Mesquite, TX. It sounds to me as if this whole process is going to take about 10 months. Neither IMBRA or anyone else will prevent me from seeing the process through. Does anyone see any merit in my going with my fiance for the interview process?

I understand that a new law has been passed relating to criminal background checks as part of the K1 visa process. What is that all about. Seems like an invasion of privacy to me. All I want to do is get married. I'm not asking for a job with the FBI or some other top secret government agency

I would think that as long as you still meet the 125% poverty level requirement, and inform them of the job change, and any address change, changing jobs shouldn't matter.

I am ready to submit my K1 Visa Package. There is a possibility that I will accept a job during the process. Will this have any impact on the process. Anyone had any experience in this area?
