Yes, you're right. Both of us need to be in on this for it to work anyway, just like the relationship. We'll see if we can figure this out.
Oh honey,.. if you're not in this together, if he's not willing to commit and support you through this process..how can you expect him to stand beside you and support you later? You need to figure out if he's worth giving up everything for. Make sure it's a healthy relationship before you go move across the world for him. (this coming from someone with a few relationship experiences and probably older than most of you that are in here... )
Sorry if I come off as rude or harsh.. but I just want you to be careful and be sure you make the right decision. Take care, and good luck!!!!!

Nope, Unilabs Majorstuen does that. They are the only lab approved in Norway. You need a "rekvisisjon" from the panel physician to book the appointment. They forward the results directly to the Dr, and you get the CD we need to hand carry to the US.
Aha.. ok, so when I receive my NVC case number I can book the physical,..when I'm there, the doctor will give me the requisition for X-rays and I'll have to see them after the physical?
-
Still the case in Norway. I got the sealed X-ray CD and a copy of the vaccination sheet, everything else I never saw.
Where did you get the x-rays..do they do that at the doctors office or did you go elsewhere?

Finally got NOA2 on May 19th Hard copy received on May 23rd. Now,..it's the wait for NVC case number.

Congratulations! Feels like we should've done the CR-1 visa too, it's faster than the K-1.
We received RFE on March 22nd.. would have had NOA2 earlier if it wasn't for that. We discussed the different options that we had, and decided that the CR-1 was the best one for us. Normally it is not faster,.. however, once I get there I can start applying for jobs immediately. I'm super excited that we finally got our petition approved. Can't wait to finally (in a few months) go live with my love. After almost 8 years, it's finally going to happen.
-
Thanks... guess we'll just have to be patient... only been one week so far since they received the RFE.
NOA2 on May 19th!!
-
Congrats!!
Thanks!!

6 months after sending the petition, we finally got NOA2 today!!!! Our I-130 is approved by USCIS!!
-
3 weeks is the norm but that is K-1 at CSC, don't know about spouse visa and TSC
Thanks... guess we'll just have to be patient... only been one week so far since they received the RFE.

Hi, does anyone have any experience with how long it normally takes from USCIS have received RFE until they come to a decision?
-
Yes, feels great to be here. Still getting used to things but had a pretty smooth transition so far.
Nice,..glad things are going well for you!
-
Our stupid RFE,..not filing my original divorce decree. Sent a notarized and apostilled official stamped document, stating my general information, also divorce date and year. It was not enough,.. Hopefully we will receive the NOA2 soon!
-
Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Their status updates are not 100% reliable.
You've been there one month already... feels good eh? I can't wait!!
-
Finally sent the additional information USCIS requested.Delayed our case with more than a month.. Hope it won't take too long until we (hopefully) get NOA2.
Other November filers getting their NOA2?
-
RFE sent from Michigan to Texas today, should arrive on Friday... hoping for a quick and positive feedback from USCIS. Case delayed more than one month to get the requested document, get it translated and then sent to the US. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
-
I will indeed! Thank you and good luck to you too :-)
Thanks.. Hoping we'll be able to send the RFE this week...so hopefully know more in a couple of weeks.
-
Thank you all :-) It's really great to be backed up by the VJ community on this journey.
.
Good luck on your continued journey! Let us know how you experienced POE, and definitely let us know when you'll get married!!
-
Thank you :-)
When will your POE be? Booked a flight yet?
-
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to be done and approved!
It was overall a really nice experience, nothing a VJ regular should worry about :-D
I posted my review (it's raining in Stockholm today, so nothing else to do), and will happily answer any questions anyone might have :-)
Congrats on your approval!!! So happy for the both of you!! I will definitely read your review!

Hi, does anyone know how long it takes to get the interview?
-
Yeah sorry, that was meant for Arnaia, not sure how i selected yours. It's early here so I'm tired.
How log did you have to wait for a medical appointment? Just wondering how early I'll call them to get an appointment.

Congratulations on your wedding yesterday!!!

JFH - Did you get a Visa Waiver Stamp with 90 days validity or did the officer shorten the duration? Is it likely that an officer shortens the usually 90 days to a shorter duration due to the I-130 pending?
One more questions: How soon after I-130 has been filed, are CBP officers informed about the petition. I read in some forums that CBP officers get the information about the filing very late in the process and not from the start. Anyone can confirm this?
Hi, I just came back from visiting my husband,.. I usually only stay 2-3 weeks as I still have a job in Norway. However, checking my passport, I was granted 90 days as usual. I don't know how much information CBP officers get,.. this guy asked me what the purpose of my visit was, and I said, as true is, that I'm visiting my husband. He asked why I was not living there with him, and again I replied as true is, that we are currently filing I-130 and are waiting for the approval.
There is a possibility they have access to all information, but ask the questions to see if we answer them truly.. I don't know. I only know,.. ALWAYS answer the truth!!

Hi, any Norwegians in here that know who I need to get in touch with to get a copy of my divorce certificate in Norway. Is it Fylkesmannen?
Scandinavians

If you have a smart phone,..which I suppose most people have these days, you can download the USCIS case tracker app. Then, you'll know immediately if there's any changes or updates done to your case. I found the app very useful. I did in fact call the USCIS asking for and update when we got RFE, but they could not answer anything. Not because I wasn't the petitioner,.. I had all the information they asked for, but simply because it is just a call center and they don't have updates on the cases. You might have to ask for a supervisor then.. and they might not reply since you're not the petitioner. Our cases are different since we're CR1 applicants..
