For ROC, I submitted since I became a resident.

For N400, I submitted since being a resident as well because one of the requirements was to show you have been together in order to file under the 3 year rule.

I am sure you will probably be okay. For your interview you can bring additional evidence and add it to your case if you want.

I'm afraid I made the big mistake coz I assumed they have all my files that I submitted for AOS and ROC, so I didn't duplicate by sending the same documents again.

What about this option? Seems like we can upload more documents even it may or may not be considered.

I remember during the time I filled in the form, they usually remind me that the missing documents can lead delay.

Is there anyone made the same mistake as me? 😭

Bank statements each quarter since I became a resident

    quarterly mortgage statements

    Contract from vehicle purchase

    closing disclosures from house purchase

    @morgan.croft Just curious...

Say for example you got your 2-year conditional green card on April 2016, when you went for interview you already submitted them all supporting documents until around March-April 2016. When you submitted ROC application, did you send them the supporting documents from the time you got married or just only say from April or May 2016 until January 2018?

For me when I filed ROC I only submitted supporting documents from when I got my 2-year conditional green card approved until present (before I submitted ROC application. Cause I assumed they already had all my documents in file.

Then when I submitted N-400 I did the same thing. I submitted the 3 years tax return as they requested and other required documents. But for supporting documents I only submitted from what after I sent my ROC application.

So now I'm not sure if I did it wrongly, and today I have this question in my head.

    Same thing here

someone told me I ll take couple days to see ur appointment letter in documents section

Ok so we all (maybe) get the notification to our emails from USCIS website when there is any movement to our case...

Coz It's a bit weird that we have to check our account just to see if there is any update if we don't want to wait for the letter to show up in our mailbox...

    Thanks!

Thanks for that link! I forgot about that :) I also have a biometrics appointment scheduled now, but the letter does not show up in the docs tab yet.

How did you get your information update for the biometrics appointment?

I got up today and checked my email and I found that I got another email informed me as below.

We have taken an action on your case and it needs your attention

Sign in to your account to view your case status and additional steps you need to take

As I understand that it's from different sources from the text and email I got last night. So now I assume that I got notification to my email from both websites.

Please confirm if you got the same notification on your email too, or you have to log in on your account to see your case movement.

    Thanks!

Is there an official app for this so you don't have to log in on the computer all the time? All I seem to find are third-party apps. I don't want to enter my info there.

    @Given2Fly

Have you tried using this website https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do?

With my own experience, but I can't say it's 100% accurate, I get all updates about my cases from the above website.

You have to have an account which I assume we all do since it's the old website before they migrated to the current one. You then have to add your case number and set the notification on any updates on your case either to your phone or email or both (I set the notification for both mobile phone and email).

A bit of my experience, I got updated on my phone that there was movement on my I-751. I checked the current website and I found no update there. I then checked my email and I had more details about the update I got on my phone. I then tried to access the old one which was the one I mentioned the link above and I finally found the detail update there. I got my case approved and got my 10-year green card on hand. Every details were update on that website but not the current one. Even now I filed my N-400 at the beginning of this week, there is no update on my ROC approval on the current website.

Back to the current situation, after I filed my N-400 and got my case number, I then added my case number to the above mentioned website and set the notification as usual. I now got text & email notified me that they sent me biometrics appointment letter. I then checked on the current website and again I saw nothing, just the notification that they received my case (not to mentioned that they still even now no update on my ROC approval). I guess I need couple more days for this current website to upload the information and document that they sent out to me. I went back to check for more details just in case they have the schedule date for my appointment at the above mentioned website, but they don't, just general information that they sent out the appointment letter and if I don't get it by certain date then I should contact them.

So maybe it can help you some for notification, if you are interested.

Good luck to everyone on this journey and keep each other update!

Got our approval letter in the mail today, got the online approval notice yesterday.  Letter says not to travel outside the country without the card and the card can take up to 60 days to receive.  Our trip is in less than 3 weeks.  The letter says to get a passport stamp if we have to go out of country before getting the new card.  What's the average wait time from notice to getting the card in hand?  Should we get an infopass appt if we don't get the card like a week before our trip?

Also I have USPS mail notice which shows the pics of what is coming in the mail today, the letter was not in the email the post office sent out today.  They've been slipping on that lately too.

You can check on USCIS website (the old one for my case). When you have this notification, then they tell you the tracking number. If you can't rely on the USPS. But for my case, I get the update with the tracking number from USPS informed delivery couple of hours before I got this update from USCIS.

Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service

We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking number assigned is XXXXX. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section.

  7. Congratulations to everyone who received their ROC approvals!!!

I also have some updates on my case that I'd like to share with you all.

Application was sent on 2/12/18, and arrived at CSC on 2/14/18.

2/11/19: Text & Email messages notifying - New Card Is Being Produced

2/14/19: Text & Email messages notifying - Card Was Mailed To Me

2/15/19: Approval Letter in mail date 2/11/19 &

Text & Email messages notifying - Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service

    Additional information:

There is no update on the new website, only the old one (for my case).

I first received text on my phone while I was outside. I had no access to my email, so I checked to see what an update on my case from the case tracker app. I saw the status was changed from "Case Status" to be "New Card Is Being Produced". When I reached home I checked on the new website and I found no update. I then checked my email and found the same status as on the case tracker app. I then tried to login on the old website and finally I found the update there.

USPS Informed Delivery works well. This morning I got notified that I have a letter from USCIS to be delivered today. At first I thought it's the green card and was a bit surprised that it was so fast since I just got the notification yesterday from USCIS about sending my new card. But in the afternoon, they uploaded the new information about incoming package that I can expect. I checked and it's from USCIS Corbin Production Facility with tracking number. So I knew that the letter that coming today is just "Approval Letter" not the green card yet. Then in the evening I got text and email from USCIS again saying "Card Was Picked Up By The USPS".

    Patchie -

For your travel history outside of the United States, you can view all of your travel history at https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home.

You can search it by your passport number.  Use your current one, and it will pull up everything, including all travels in any of your previous passports.

This travel history will include all of your departure dates from the US and arrival dates into the US.  You will then have to figure out where you went during those dates, but at least you will not miss anything using these records.  It is the same records USCIS will also use to verify your application.

Your travel history includes all trips you made while you are a permanent resident too.  As long as you used a foreign passport to leave and enter the country, your information is searchable under this link.

    Thanks GBOS!!

Yes I used that website and it has all my travel history from the first day I arrived in the U.S.

The reason I fill out only 3 years history cause I use the 3 years basis. If I fill out for the period of 5 years, my duration outside the U.S. will exceed the limit. I understand that the counting start from "Resident Since"

But with my employment/schools, I guess I need to provide information for the complete time period of 5 years.

  9. Congratulations to everyone who received their ROC approvals!!!!

I have some questions about filling out Form N-400.

Part 8. Information About Your Employment and Schools You Attended

List where you have worked or attended school full time or part time during the last 5 years. Provide information for the complete time period. Include all military, police, and/or intelligence service.

    1. Do we list all Employment and Schools we attended during the last 5 years or just only after we get our green card if the basis of application is marriage with U.S. citizen for 3 years.

Part 9. Time Outside the United States during the last 5 years

    2. I only document for 3 years from the date on my green card until present.

So I'm now not sure if Part 8 I should document for 3 or 5 years. I first documented for 5 years then I went back to change after I documented Part 9 for 3 years. They give me the notification that I am missing information, but they let me move on with other parts. Not sure at the time I click submit they will force me to fill out the details to complete 5 years or not.

I will not submit anytime soon. So I wonder those who submitted already, how did you fill out this part?

    Thanks!

  10. I had been in and out for 3 times with this extended letter and stamp on my passport. Those 3 times with 3 different airports (port of arrival).

I went to stamp my passport before my 2 year conditional green card was expired.

I got only 6 months validity on my passport. Not sure why but I guess my green card was not expired yet but I have to leave the country and come back when it’s expired. It was valid for only for 2 trips. Before my 3rd trip I went back to get a new stamp and this time I got a year validity on my passport.

1st Entry - Was sent to secondary inspection room. Spent more than an hour in there cause there were so many cases before mine. It took less than 5 mins just to check my case status and I was released from the room with entry stamp. The officer took my expired green card and said they will have to destroy it cause it's expired. I traveled with my spouse during this trip to Europe.

2nd Entry - Was not sent to secondary inspection room. Was asked about my green card but I told the officer the story then he stamped the entry for me. Again I traveled with my spouse during this 2nd trip to Europe.

3rd Entry - Was again sent to secondary inspection room. The office didn’t seem to  believe in what I told him, and said I need to go to the inspection room to verify my stamp on my passport. He said normally we don’t keep your expired green card. It took me less than 10 mins to get stamp and was released from the inspection room. I traveled alone to Asia for this trip.

All above trips, I only showed the airline staffs the stamps on my passport (has never presented them my extended letter).

During the time I got my 2nd stamp, I asked the officer do I have to wait to get my 10-year green card or I can go ahead and apply for naturalization when I’m eligible. He said I can go ahead and apply. It takes so long for both 10-year green card and naturalization to be approved. So while waiting for my 10-year green card to be approved I can start queuing for naturalization. He further said that if I have not gotten my 10-year green card by the time this stamp is expired, I can come back in to get a new stamp. But I should be scheduled for an interview before that. I then asked if it is normal that we get an interview for the 10-year green card. He said normally yes.

I'm not following this completely? You're definitely within the normal window to receive your NOA1. Looking at the table of Feb filers, you're probably looking at late this week or early next for your NOA1.

I could manage to change my appointment for Schengen visa to be on this Monday. The reason is I'm not sure if I will get my NOA1 letter in time by this Thursday to submit with my visa application. So from the current timeline hopefully I will get it by this Saturday.

    Thanks for answering my question.

  12. Hi all,

How long does it usually take to get the notification on either phone or email for the USCIS Acceptance Confirmation?

I sent out my package on 12th and arrived there on 14th. I make appointment with the consulate to apply for a Schengen visa on 23rd. Now I'm afraid I will not get my NOA1 by 22nd. I checked the bank statement, the check has not been cashed yet. The next available appointment now is like in 2 weeks if I miss this one (means 3 weeks from today). I do concern about my passport if I have to postpone my visa application, that I may not have it back in time for my fingerprint appointment with the USCIS. Maybe I just overthinking. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!.

  13. Thanks, hopefully it goes well for us...

Congratulations to you too! What kind of questions did they ask you at the interview?

I believe that difference case has difference questions being asked.

Mine is mainly about family. Besides this it's just general questions like where did you guys meet?, and those questions from the forms we filled in.

When I sent my package, I sent our photos from difference trips. Arranged it in timeline which also correlated with his and my immigration stamps that we traveled to see each others (almost 20 stamps on our passports when combined). Also during my last entry here before we got married, we traveled to many places both in state and out of state. Those were in my timeline photos I submitted too. We had just one photo together with parents that maybe the curiosity to ask about the relationship with both families.

Wish you best of luck and thanks!

  14. Finally after 3 weeks we received the social security card. A week ago we went to the SS office again because we didn't received the card. Thay said that the card was sent and it was probably lost in mail. They ordered a new one. We received the card after one week today.

    Hi Greg1031

I notice in your timeline you have interview date? Wow that's nice! Congratulations!

My status has not yet updated anything. I got social security card just 5 days in mail after applied. Now I'm back in my country for 2 weeks. I will go back to the US next week.
