Hi all! 

RFE received mid-August, my life was super busy so I didn't do it until late October. Due November 3rd. 

11/7 Notice "New card being produced"

But is all of this enough? We have no children together yet, so I don't know what to do.

Got a RFE. Originally sent in copy of recent lease where we live together (only this current year), letter from the bank stating we are joint on all accounts, a print out of each account's latest statement, 2 sworn affidavits, and a copy of our car insurance.

What I'm thinking of is sending in the following items:

Lease for all 3 years (we moved around) we lived here in the states

Maybe a letter from the bank stating how long we've been on the same accounts? (3 years)

Somehow prove how long we've been on car insurance together?

We are about to buy a house in the next month together, so I've also thought about holding off on that.

Show the beneficiary page for each of our insurances, mentioning the other as beneficiary?

Here's my update status for the longest time. *SIGHHHH* Also, I don't see my username/info on the California update list... did it get erased?

No update on the website since a year ago, although we did fingerprints in March. 😞

Hey everyone, on the https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ website, where exactly do I go to check my status? I keep ending up in EVerify.... but that's for employers.

We haven’t even received biometric request yet... nothing since sending it in June 2018 and the “temporary extension” letter in September 2018... did they forget about us? 😞

Hey guys! My husband called today and supposedly our NOA is in the mail! They didn’t give us a receipt number though... said we would have to wait to get the letter and that they couldn’t give him that information over the phone since the letter had already been sent. They also couldn’t say anything about our i912 besides @well I don’t see any hiccups on the account, everything seems normal...” whatever that means haha!

May I ask, for what was the fee waiver based on. I got the fee waiver but ours was based on a low income based program like Medicaid or SNAP. I know that others have heard after a bit more than 30 days due to what they believe was the fee waiver. I was lucky or submitted very good documentation that was easy to make a decision about the fee waiver. I do not know your situation but I hope it comes through for you. I know some people have had some troubles but once they sent in better documentation the waiver was accepted and all went on as it should. Others have had no problems like me and the fee waiver was accepted. Be assured though that if there is a problem with the waiver it does not change your receipt date for the I-751. It will still be the day that they received your application packet. I know this because last year they returned my husband's I-751 after they realized that his GC dates were incorrect but the application had been stamped received with a date.

The fee waiver would have been based on myself receiving Medicaid and Food Stamps. I sent in both of my approval notices (straight from DHHS) that stated start date and renewal date of services.

There are actually two sites, one is the orginal USCIS website where you can check status by clicking the check status link on the home page. https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do When you go to this link you can setup an account, add your case receipt number and then follow it. It even allows you to choose ways for update notifications to be sent to you electronically. The other is the site for online applications. https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov  Here you can make online applications. Once you have establish an account any online applications are automatically added to your list but there is also a wau to add paper submitted applications like the I-751 application to your list of cases. But the other site is for anyone who has the receipt number. I don't even have a receipt number, and when I called USCIS to get it, they said I need to wait 60 days for an answer. I might be brave enough and call back soon and ask to talk to a tier 2.

60 days is a load of bull. You should have asked to speak to a Tier 2 officer. I would have called back after hanging up and get another agent who would have given you the details of your case.

I feel like they told me that to shut me up... Its frustrating enough to have to have my husband with me to call. In fact when we talked to them just now it was because we asked for them to call us back (after they had closed).

Just spoke with USCIS again (with my husband, who the I751 is for), and was told that I need to wait 60 days before calling them. They couldnt even tell me if simply they had received it or not. I know my frustration is mainly out of anxiousness to see if the Fee Waiver is granted, but I cant help but feeling like I am the only one that its taking this long for.

Just let them know you sent an application and want an update. They will ask for the alien registration #, date of birth and some other basic info that YOU should know even if you aren't the applicant and your spouse is.

I just called actually. They wouldn't speak to me because it's my husband's visa/conditions removal petition, not mine. I'll have to call back with him. Ughhh.

I also tried to register on the website, but in order to see my case, I need a USCIS receipt number.. which I haven't received anything from them.

I didn't know I could call USCIS about the extension letter and NOA. It sounds daunting.. I wouldn't even know what number to call, etc. Would they talk to me since I am not the one who is asking for a VISA?

What is this website you speak of? Where on the ucsis website?

I’m still over here... waiting... I know they say technically “wait for 30 days,” but everyone else has their NOA already and it’s making me nervous.

Good to know. My husband's employer is newly established as their own non-profit, and they won't know about this sort of stuff. I want to be prepared to defend him haha. Thanks again!

So a few things...

Most hospitals have financial aid available to those who qualify (they usually have an income limit around 175/200% of the federal poverty limit... some also look at assets). Best to ask directly to that hospital/clinic's Financial Aid department.

Not sure what state you are in... but you could apply for Medicaid. If you are a permanent resident less than 5 years in the states, you qualify for Emergency ONLY Medicaid, which will only be applicable to ER-related incidents. In Michigan, you have to wait 5 years after having a green card to be eligible for full Medicaid, some states waive that waiting period. Check with your local DHS office. There are also many clinics that have people called "Navigators" (this is in fact my real life job) that help clients for FREE with the application, eligibility questions, etc. Just remember that like all DHS/government programs, there are eligibility requirements.

Sent 2 Jun, PO del 4 Jun, USCIS VSC marked received 5 Jun, NOA1 date 15 Jun, got letter 18 Jun. CSC was running three weeks in beginning of June then 2 weeks in second week. Hopefully they are still on that schedule.

When you say no problem with the fee, do you mean they waived it based on your two means-tested benefits that you received? I am wondering how soon they let you know the waiver will be approved vs how long the application for the visa is approved. Also, was this last year for you or this year?
