slycordinator got a reaction from Hypnos in Certificate of Citizenship
The birth certificate isn't the same as a "Certificate of Citizenship." If you were born in the US, you don't need a Certificate of Citizenship, as a birth certificate issued by any of the states of the US is proof of US citizenship. And if you were born outside the US, your parents registered the birth with the Embassy, and the Department of State issued the birth cert, then you also don't need the Certificate of Citizenship.
But if neither of those is true, then you'll likely have to apply for it.

slycordinator reacted to f f in Is there a way to APPEAL a rejected expedite request?
sure.
this is the last post you will see from me in this thread.
but please take this advice.
you are going up against uscis in thier court and you have to play by thier rules. immigration laws are not designed to be nice or friendly to the immigrants or thier families. they break apart families according to a set of rules. they are designed to protect the people of the us as a whole against those who would to us harm and until they are convinced the immigrant has a valid reason to come and is safe they will deny that immigrant a visa.
to mods
I took no offense to the op asking me not to post please do not punish the op for that.

slycordinator got a reaction from Blackstone in Which visa to apply for?
If you want her to visit America and head back to her country with a known time when she will head back, then tourist is right. If you want her to live with you in America, you'll have to get a spousal visa.

slycordinator got a reaction from N and J in Evidence of a bona fide marriage ???
And there are plenty of people unable to do stuff like joint bank accounts; is not some automatic no. For instance, I've been living in Korea and married a Korean here. There is no such thing as a joint bank account here... And we got approved with stuff like I mentioned above.

Did you include the original or just the translation? Were the original and translation attached together by either whoever translated or notarized it?
