  1. Hi all,

I have no idea why my case was approved so quickly. I noticed that October's time line K-3 visa's approval times have dropped sharply. Could this be the reason why my case was approved so quickly?

I did not get a RFE for my K-3. Is that normal?

I am more confused about this process than ever. However, I am tickled silly after getting the approval notice. So, perhaps I should let sleeping dogs lie.. haha...

Thanks for any insites others here have to offer.

Congratulations !!!:dance: Mine was approved in 66 days. It's not unusual. Goodluck !!!

  2. Hello everyone, i know everyone has been very busy not to wish me all the best prior my interview , well, everything went so great. got the 6am, lined up and went into the consulate 6.45am and i was called by a black nigerian lady to submit all my docs. the affidavis, passport, ds156 forms, medical and the police certificate. so i was aske dto be sitted and last was called by this white guy around 12.35pm and was interview. he's a nice guy, we chatted and he asked about my docs. and i gave it to him and he love the way i filled my doc. in a folder, it was so colorful and organized and he told me that am so organized and i have really preparde for them and the other CO around him, heard what he said and they came to look at it and they love it and he asked who packaged the folder and i said my wife. at the end of everything he asked me to show my photos and mails, which i did and the first mail he read was the mail where my wife with anoyances bullshit the immigrations...and he was like wow, she bullshit up here and all the CO's there were laughing and at the end of it all, he gave me a letter to come pick up the visa on tuesday, but when he was entering the name in the system, some names came up that are same with my lastname, and he asked if i have ever been to the usa and i said know and asked as well, if i have any brother thatbears my lastname and calle dthere first names, about 4peoples names and i said no, so he said i need to do all my fingerprint, and he gave me a letter nand i was told to pay $85 and should come on friday morning 9am for the 10 fingers fingerprinting.

my question, have any one gone thru the fingerprinting and how long does it take to get the result so i can o pick up my visa.

i wish everyone all the best , lagos consulate is calm now and the CO's are friendly, just be composed and be organized.

i need to hearing from you all asap.

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you. Now you can rest and sleep good tonight. Congratulation!!! well done!

  3. I was wondering...does anyone know if the same calendar is used in Lagos for both I129 and I130 applicants? Or better yet...K1 and K3 visas. What I mean is OHENSANNE said their interiew is Nov 27 and I think they have a K3. Does this mean that all the dates in Nov are filled by now and there is no hope for other people to be scheduled in Nov? I thought maybe K1 and K3 are scheduled differently. I am really hoping so. Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi,

When my fiancee went to pick up her packet, she was given an oct.4th,2006 date. She had to change it and she was given a Nov 9th date. She asked for another date in october but they said that all the days in october are filled. I wouldn't neccessary say that all the days in Nov are filled because Neya's fiance went a week after my fiance and he was given a Nov 13th date. It just depends on what date an interviewer is available, i think. Goodluck and Godbless !

The only reason my fiancee was able to change her date to nov 13th was that there was a couple with K-3 application that had the Nov. 9th date. So my fiancee changed the date with them. The couple was at the embassy the same day as my fiancee and my fiancee was originally given an earlier date. Ours is K-1. Goodluck and Godbless !

  4. Well, I changed my Avatar to better reflect my personality as of late. I sure hope one of those blood vessels doesn't burst ;)

You know, I've been acting out in a lot of FEAR lately. F-false E-evidence A-appearing R-real. I don't know what's going on with my petition at VSC and I keep dreaming up worst case scenarios for myself that drive me crazy. I do think it's good that I made an inquiry, but I also think it's good that I back off a little and let the process run it's course for a couple weeks.

I've seen some approvals as of late (Spiritee, Scott & Marleen) that have similar timelines so I hope something comes in the way of an approval soon. I have hope again.

One of the hardest parts of this process for sure is the waiting, but it's also the uncertainty. Nothing is a given until the visa is in hand. There's more to this process than what's displayed in our posts. There's the relationship that drives us to go through this madness. I think I'm learning to put the relationship before the process. It's a delicate balance for sure. Especially when the beneficiary doesn't fully understand the process and what it intails on the USC side.

I thought I prepared my fiancee for the long haul, but I really didn't. I compared my process to others in my similar situation. I said we should hear something within 60 days, nothing. I said we're with an adjudicating officer and we should hear something within 2 weeks, nothing. I just wanted to tell her some good news and give her hope, but it was false news and false hope. All this disappointment has weighed heavy on the relationship. Because of that, it's weighed heavy on the way I'm handling the petition now. Very intensely.

Don't ask me the reasoning behind this post. I think I just feel like writing. I just want express to newer people to really prepare for the long haul and not to build expectations for this process. You want your approval to come as a pleasant surprise, not as an "it's about f*#king time, you son of a b*#ch as* moth*r fu#k**. The USCIS gives themselves 6 months for the process, and so should you. It's not even a given that it's within 6 months.

I guess the advice I would be giving is to put the health of the relationship first. To get involved knowing it's going to be a long wait. Don't focus your efforts talking about every little detail of the process. It's better that your relationship be the forefront of your thoughts and not this process. Let the process take a back seat and things will come to pass. You see it everyday in this forum. People getting approved.

Good Luck to Everyone!!!! and God bless!!!!!

This might be the reason why your petition is still pending. May be somebody at USCIS is reading your post and enjoying your Maniac display. Keep on ranting and your NOA2 might be in the mail by June,2007.

  5. IT WAS LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AN I WAS CHECKING MY EMAIL WHEN I SAW THE EMAIL FROM IMMIGRATION. I DIDNT HESITATE TO OPEN IT I FIGURED, OH WELL WHATEVER IT IS, IT IS, YIPPEEEEE. WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!

I QUICKLY CALL MY MOM IN NY BUT I DONT GET AN ANSWER SO I DECIDE TO CALL MY FIANCE SEAN IN JAMAICA. WHEN I TOLD HIM THE NEWS HE WAS SO EXCITED. HETOLD ME OVER AND OVER HOW WE GONNA HAVE A GREAT LIFE TOGETHER. WOWO THEN MY MOM CALLED AND WE TALKED ON THE PHONE TILL 3 AM. THIS IS SO GREAT. NOW I GOT A FEW QUESTIONS....1 WHAT IS NEXT?

    2. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE APPROXIMATELY FOR HIM TO ARRIVE? 3. ANY BODY GOT ANY ADVICE OR COMMENTS LET THEM ROLL. YEEEAAAHHHHHH IM FEELING GOOD RIGHT NOW.

Congratulations !!! It won't be long now. The next step is the NVC which if everything goes well should be only about a week or 2. Then the interview at the embassy. You are very very close to the dream. Goodluck and God bless!!

  6. This was in my email box today. I am not sure exactly what it is saying. Help!!!

On September 29, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

Chill, your NOA2 will not be far away. In anyway, it's a good thing !! Goodluck.

  7. Hi freinds,

just wanted to know that since my case was complete on 09/25/06 for the cr1 how long does it generally take for nvc to send the case to the embassy.and then how long till i get an interview date.

    regards

    bombay.

It depends, it could take anywhere from a week to eternity depending on how F@#cked up a case is. Some cases just sit over there at the FBI's desk chilling. LOL!! To answer your question, i'll say it depends !!! Goodluck!!

  8. Sorry if this q has been answered before, but what are the pros and cons of using an immigration attorney to handle the K-1 visa process? Is one really necessary? Can I save several months of processing time with an attorney to justify the cost (assuming I do everything right by processing the paperwork myself)?

    Thanks,

    Ruteger

Immigration Attorneys ain't worth a dime. I did it all by myself and God's willing, our case will be approved on Nov. 9th at the embassy. Follow the VJ and it will guide you to the dream land. I bet some Lawyers use Vj too. Goodluck and Godbless!!

  9. Should we start a pool for what day you finally pop that blood vessel and have a stroke?

Seriously, you need to learn some level of patience.

Take it easy on the OP, ok? Everybody in here is stress out one way or the other. I'm one of the lucky few, i got approved in 66 days at csc. My case is now at the embassy and interview would have been conducted earlier than Nov 9th,2006 if we hadn't changed the date. I've seen so many VSC applicants that took way less than 60 days. Everybody, pls. take a chill pill and if you are fed up of the Op just ignore him. Let's all be supportive here please.

Is it Visa Lottery time?? could this be the reason why no action at all??

Please andymisiu, don't bother VSC so much 'cause some of the govt. workers don't like to be bothered as thye can be cruel and malicious. I know you are already tired of waiting, please don't extend it unneccassarily. OK?

  10. i would tape record him secretly if i were you, digital voice recorder are $100 dollars and can record for 17 hours on 1 battery.

    Except for that is illegal...

It depends on the state you are in. Most states allows one person consent tape recordings. This means one person can secretly tape record a conversation in which he/she is a participant.

  11. ... but I just cannot do it. It's was very hard for me emotinally when I 1st aggreed to have an abortion, to save our marriage. It was not I wanted to do but I was forced by him. He was telling me that If I decide to have the child he is "not willing to put up with this" and I would be left on my own. He would get divorced with me. I was being blackmailed, if I dont agree to have an abortion it's going to be over between us.

So I just did beacuse I wanted to be with him.

Now it happened again. I am pregnant by him, and he said he is going to file for separation and send me back to Poland IF I decide to keep it. He does not want the child to be born in the U.S. as he would be forced to be legally obligated for him/her. If I decide to abort the baby "we can start everything over again". Which gives the proof of mentally abused by him.

During past two weeks I have ended up 4 times in the hospital because of the stress after each argument and some pregnancy complications. Some person I have talked to in the hospital told me that it's a family abuse to blackmail a person to do something against her will.

I came to the U.S. being a K-1 visa holder September last year, we got married and I've recieved my conditional green card around April this year.

My question is that, is my husband able to kick me out of the country if he files for separation/divorce or apply for removal of my conditional gren card?

I am a student over here, I have just started school, and a part time job. I do still need the finacial support until I can stand on my own. Would I be able to count on that?

I have talked to one of my friend, and he said it is a pure abuse towards me. He suggested contacting a lawyer to see what can be done about it. He said that my husband is not able to send me back to Poland, yet I can sue him for the "family abusing".

I want my child to be born in the U.S. and he/she has more opportunities in this country. If my husband sends me back to Poland I have no guarantee that he would pay me for the child given he/she was born in there.

Do I have any rights here? Can he just do that to me?

    Please help me!

    Pauli.

Is he on crack?? he must be high on something. What does he think would happen when he was doing jumping jacks on you without protection?? You can keep the pregnancy and if he files for divorce, you can file for a waiver from USCIS and slam his butt with Child support once you have the baby. He must be outside his mind!!!

  12. My wife received her green card last week (2-yr card). She has disappeared and cleaned out my checking and savings accounts. Is there any recourse that I can make to have her deported? Also she can into the country 2 years ago under a K3 Spousal Visa. We were not married until she arrived. Therefore, we should have applied for a K2 Fiance visa. Any suggestions how I can get her out of the country for good?????

Make a police report and alert your bank ASAP. Also contact USCIS. If she goes to another state or cross border line, contact FBI. Sorry.

  13. Yeah, I was definitely mad when my fiance told me he had fessed up to that. But... I was the one who had prepared all the visa stuff and I sort of just filled him in on the details. I guess I forget to have the talk about "remember back when marijuana was your favorite college pastime? Let's pretend that never happened."

He told me that during the medical exam he had to take of all his clothes, and then the doctor left the room. He was left there facing signs that read "lying to this doctor is a federal crime" and things like that. So I guess he got intimidated/scared, and when the doctor came back and started asking him all kinds of questions he just said everything.

The worst part about this whole thing is that the next day, not only did they deny his visa, they took away his tourist visa!! He can't even enter the country! Anyway, I was accepeted to grad school here, so it looks like we'll be apart for the next two years. Ni modo...

I'm sorry, but this post is just too damn funny. How many times has this guy lie to you?? So he can not use his head and no that the post was just an intimidation !!! This Amigo is a clown, you need to drag to a local re-hab and get him clean. He might even be a danger to you. This Amigo really makes me laugh even though it's not funny. I bet he hit that blunt hard after the interview. This a typical example of how drugs fry brain cells.

  14. Hey y'all... I was initially embarassed to post about this, but I figured, hey, what the hell... My fiance's visa was denied because he admitted to smoking marijuana to the doctor during his medical exam. He told the doctor that the last time he smoked was Sept 7, 2005. So, the next day at the interview, the consular officer told him, sorry buddy, you have to be clean for three years. Come back in 2008.

Soooo... cancel all the plans we made, and he is still in Mexico and I'm in Texas again. My family insists that I talk to a lawyer, that maybe somehow that will help the process. I, however, am skeptical. I don't know how a lawyer could possibily get around this, because the law is pretty darn clear.

Can anyone give me advice on the next step I should take?? I tried searching for similar discussions on this forum, but was unable to find anything conclusive. What about a waiver??

    Thanks!

That was the dumpest thing i have heard in a long while, You sure he wasn't smoking when he went for his interview?? Why would anybody in his right mind tell an interviewer such a thing. Huh !!

:lol: I know its not funny. cant help but laugh.

honesty really is the best policy..:lol::lol::lol:

give them some credit.. in 2008 he will get the visa.. so its ok they will have piece of

mind knowing they told the truth..

Sometimes, honesty is the dumbest policy. In this case his honesty will hold him in mexico for 3 more years!! Really, this Amigo needs to get to re-hab ASAP and psychologist for a head examination!!! I'm sorry this is not funny but this guy is a DUFUS!

  16. Congrats Taye but help me out here. Was the original interview date given because she went to the embassy or did she receive the package with October date then visit the embassy for a change in dates? I am trying to see if i can get an estimate here judging from the date your case got to Lagos.

She recieved the October 9th date when she got to the embassy today. She was able to swap the date also today at the embassy with a k-3 applicants with a Nov. 9th date. And she was also told that the packets were mailed to her but she never recieved them. She was given another packets though. She said they were kinda of nice and accormodating. I hope they stay nice when she does her interview. Thanks Ladies and gentlemen. Goodluck and Godbless !!!

  17. My fiance got her interview date today at US embassy in Lagos. She was scheduled for October 4th, 2006 ( which is next week wednesday) but she had to ask for another date. Because i'm travelling next week but i won't be home before the oct. 4th to give her all the evidences she needs for the interview. So she was re-scheduled for N0v 4th, 2006. They told her that every other date in October is full. Which is not bad at all but i only wish it was when i was Nigeria. Thanks guys for all the replies. Goodluck and Godbless !!!

  18. Here are my questions:

    1) Is is possible to have success in obtaining a K1 visa if I submitt the paperwork? Is a lawyer necessary? Is the $1500- 2000 dollars for a lawyer worth it?

    2) Any success stories without a lawyer?

    3) Why not use a lawyer in the Philippines to help my wife-to-be?

    Ray

This website is more helpful than any lawyer you can ever hire. i bet some lawyers use this site for their clients. hang around this website and you will discover that hiring a lawyer is a waste of money !!! I did not use a lawyer and my case only too 66 days for approval. we are about to do the interview for the visa. Goodluck !!

  19. Hey Taye, have u guys not received an interview date yet...have u received any of the packages? Trying to get a feel of the timeline between Lagos receiving files from NVC and actual interview scheduling. It looks like they have slowed down once more. Oh bother!!!

    Hi masterpiece,

Thanks for asking, she will go pick it up next week. She works at a bank and those guys work from sunrise to sunset, so she has not been able to take a timeoff but she will next week. We are actually really timing it too 'cause we don't want her to interview b/4 i come home so hopefully everything we be in perfect timing. How 'bout yours? I hope everything works out fine for you. Goodluck and Godbless !

  20. Taye, why don't go to Nigeria and complete your own assignment, that guy called valentine is an heartless fellow and 419 too. He is not a man of God at all but an agent of the devil/man of the devil. i believe he is still in U.S. not Nigeria. I just came from Nigeria last week, one new thing i learnt is "everybody sound as if they are Godly, who trully fear God but that is a deception". They cannot finish a sentence without quoting a bible verse, be very careful, they all sound religious. Back to the man valentine, if he is trully in Nigeria, i don't think for security sake you should connect with him, he can 100% arrange for armed robbers to attack you on your way from the airport to your private resident. If you are able to research the different forums available on this website you will see valentine's various conflicting postings that is diabolic . Be very careful

    Hi Angelic,

Take it easy, it's not that bad. I just came from Nigeria in January and only decided to go again next month. Things are bad but people are still evolving. As a matter of fact things are getting better from my own point of view. Fraud is all over the world even in the American congress and in the churches of God. You must have known Valentine for a while for you to be so judgemental. I don't know enough about him to pass a judgement, his post might be suspicious but that's not enough to make a such a huge ascertion about him, he might be good or he might be bad. That i do not know. But he asked me for an advice and not money and when i do get to Nigeria i don't intend on seeing him as i already have a full plate. But i will give him a call if i have the chance. Please make sure you know enough about a man b/4 you drag him through the mud. The man has given me his Nigerian cell phone number and we will see if he is actually in Nigeria. Goodluck and Godbless.

S&S We are talking about marriage here , this is a serious issue that will affect generations to come

    Angelic, are you a Nigerian?
