Just received the notification that they received my additional evidence after they’d send me a RFE couple weeks ago. I’m so done with all of this - I resubmitted paperwork I had already send them + some extra documents.

Hello,
We received our RFE. They are requesting documents that we have previously sent. The only documents they are claiming that we actually did not send are joint bank statements for 2019 and joint tax returns for 2018. We filed on November, 2018, therefore, these documents did not exist then...They are not acknowledging the vast amount of evidence that we initially sent, and according to them, we did not send health, joint home, and auto insurance. We sent all this information and we even provided a very detailed index to be as specific as possible. Our package weighted 6.2 lbs, and according to them, we only sent: join bank statements for 2017, 2018; join credit cards; photos; and joint tax returns dated 2016, 2017... As you can imagine, this is pretty discouraging. We are going to submit further evidence with a lawyer.
The letter does not specify which additional documents they require. We assume these are the ones that they said they did not receive. They only give you a long list of evidence that you can send...We will see how our lawyer wants us to proceed.
As always, any help or suggestions are always welcomed.
Have a good night!
Oh my.. we also received our RFE and it states ‘good faith marriage, insufficient evidence’. WOW I’m in shock! We have a child together, bought a house, have cars in both our names, all our insurances are in both names, joint bank accounts, joint tax filing etc. And they’re requesting evidence I previously submitted. Very very strange.

AOS got approved today!!!
-
well i am still going to my infopass tomorrow just to make sure everything is ok, hence i had 2 text messages back to back for the I-485 this morning, but on the case status it only said approved ( No production yet ). about 30 minutes later i got a text for the I-130. so we ll see what that say tomorrow.... you only got another week to go , don't ya ?
Okay let us know how it went! Yes I have my interview next Monday, I'm getting kinda nervous because our income has changed. My husband was active duty military but he's now going to school full-time. We're still getting our benefits like housing allowance, so I've added proof of this 'income' to my map, as well as proof that I have a fulltime job now.

my case status updated to approved today , also i received my welcome letter and approval letter today...
But no production yet, even tho the tier 2 told me it was in production since dec. 1st
Ok good! I'm happy that everything turned out fine

the instructions for the form states line 3 FULL LEGAL NAME, enter alien name as it appears on the permanent residence card if presented or if information is known.
i just got of the phone with uscis and she told me to file form I-90 ( Request for a replacement card ),
grrr thats not what i am trying to to. i simply need to have the last name changed on the form thats it, everythi
so i told her i want to speak to a tier 2 officer. .. so now i am waiting
Have you talked to the tier2 officer yet? I couldn't access this website yesterday so I was just reading everything. First of all, congratulations with your approval! but sh*t that you have to worry about this problem now.. There's always something and its such a hassle to get a clear answer from someone. I hope it's not that much work, to change the name

If you have entered the USA as a K1 immigrant and you've filed for the I-485 within one year of your overseas medical exam then you don't need to do it again. I had a sealed envelope from my medical exam which I mailed to USCIS (for the I-485). I have my AOS interview in december and the only thing I'm bringing is a copy of my vaccination records (just to be sure)..
-
Yes and no...lol... am ready to get it over with . I ve got my head stuck in all my paperwork, trying to sort em out .
anything new after we filed should be in one folder .. i think ? all originals that was submitted with AOS in another folder ?
i have got all my Forms ( I-485, I-765 , I-130 , I-131, I-864, I-693 ) each in a separate pocket of my Accordion, and a divider with extra copys in each pocket of each form... i know its confusing...and i am biting my nails...lol
Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure everything will go well
I have no idea what the best way is to organize everything. For now I've also put all the AOS forms in separate pockets of the accordion. And then all our 'proof' + pictures etc. I'm so afraid I won't find the right documents once we're there...

1 more whole day before interview... .....
Good luck tomorrow!!! And keep us updated

I have only 2 months in between.. but some people have over a year between EAD and Greencard. According to the processing times my local office should be working on cases from March 2016.. but I filed in June and I have my interview in December, so it varies from office to office, case to case.
-
Wow that's great Jaime!!! Keep us updated I hope everything goes smoothly!!!
I started working yesterday and today I finally received my social security card. Now I can get everything ready for the greencard interview next month
-
you should be getting yours today, if your mail hasn't run yet. but i am glad you are finally getting it
Yes got it! Are you ready for the interview this Thursday?
-
Still here, stuck in "Fingerprint fee received" since June 1st.
Have you contacted USCIS (service request) or maybe contact the senator? That's what I did, and I received my EAD/AP approval a few days later and my interview is scheduled for December.

hi tara,
i received my ssc today, did you get your yet ?
Got our SSN numbers from the guy at SSA office after waiting 1 hour.
Yes Finally! I went to the office today and the guy said that my ssc was mailed to me on the 23rd so I should get int this week. I asked him if he could give me my number because I have started working yesterday and I need it for my taxes/payroll. But he said they are not allowed to do that anymore.

I have my interview on the 12th of December.. In the meanwhile still waiting for my SSN

did you go in your local social security office since it changed to returned to agency ?
i have heard that if one doesn't go to the office in person, they don't check the files for verification very often, hence being bussy and all.
if you haven't been yet it might be a good idea to try to go in the office since your save case check has been returned to the agency last friday.
as far as i know our social security office is open today
No I only called the local social security office but they said it was still in process. But maybe it's a good idea to go there in person, I might do it Monday.
-
hi ya,
well i went to the bmv today and everything went fine just like the lady said from yesterday.. i will get my id between 7 and 14 days
have you checked yours on save case check ?
Yes my case status changed to: returned to agency since last week Friday
-
here is another update... my save case check changed to case returned to agency on Monday, i called ssa a couple of hours later they didn't have an update on their site yet, the lady said to call back by the end of the week.. ( she probably meant Wednesday, hence its thanksgiving ).. anyways.. today i went to my local ssa office at 10:30 am , the lady i talked to didn't have no idea but luckily the guy that took my application 2 weeks ago came over to help... he looked in the file and he said .. oh yeah we just got it verified an hour ago..good for you, you should have your card in about 2 weeks, but sometimes it doesn't take that long... so i went straight to the BMV with the letter from ssa to apply for my ID..waited for about 15 minutes and it was my turn, they took my letter from the ssa office my EAD/AP Card, my interview letter and made copy`s, then i had to sign and had my picture taken... sat back down.. the lady asked me for my phone number and did something on the computer. suddenly she was reading something and turned towards me and said sorry it hasn't gone thru yet. for me to come back tomorrow and it will be fine, She explained that when you go to SSA office to apply for SScard/SSnumber/Replacement/change of name.., DON'T go to the BMV the same day, hence all the verification's between government offices merge at night. she reassured me that it will be fine tomorrow..so i am going back tomorrow
Good luck tomorrow! And let's hope we will get dat SSN within 2 weeks. I called the local social security office this morning but the lady said she could not find my case in the system so I asked her to check it with my 2 middle names (they put it as 1 name on my I-94 as well as on the application for the ssn) and then she said the case was still pending
